1. PREFACE
Dear customer,
We are pleased that you have chosen a NOVAFON vibration and gently smooth-
ing massage wellness product. For decades, our name has been standing for
high-quality and thoroughly tested products.
CAUTION: Before operating your NOVAFON product please read this user man-
ual completely to familiarize yourself with operating precautions and guidelines
in order to make the best and safe use of your NOVAFON vibration product.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR LATER REFERENCE.
1.1. SCOPE OF DELIVERY

1.2. INTENDED USE
NOVAFON vibration products are meant to create wellbeing. The application of
the product relaxes the muscles in the contact area and can assist in temporary
relieving minor aches and pains.
The combined physiological effect of skin contact together with the gentle
stimulation and the warm feeling of the vibration massage can for some users
generate a feeling of wellbeing and relief of minor aches and pains.
2. IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Before starting to use the device, please read the user manual and these safety
instructions carefully and strictly follow them. Use the Novafon only for its in-
tended use as described in this manual. Handle the NOVAFON carefully and
with caution. For example, if your NOVAFON product is ever dropped, carefully
inspect the product before using it and discard or return it to your local dealer
for inspection.
CAUTION: Correct and safe operation of the NOVAFON vibration product can
only be ensured if NOVAFON accessories are used.
CAUTION: When using an electrical appliance basic precautions should always
be followed including the following:
2.1. WARNING
To reduce the risk of burns, fires, electric shock and possibly severe injury and
possible death to the user or other people:
· Always store the product in a dry and clean location.
· Before connecting the transformer to the mains power source, check that the
mains voltage corresponds to the voltage specification on the connector plug.

Connect the NOVAFON only to a power source that delivers the correct volt-
age. DO NOT USE A TRAVEL ADAPTOR TO FIT YOUR NOVAFON PLUG INTO A
DIFFERENTLY SHAPED SOCKET.
· Always unplug the product from the electrical outlet after using and before
cleaning.
· Avoid any contact of the power cable with hot surfaces.
· Do not use the product when taking a shower or bath.
· Do not place or drop the product into water or other liquids.
· Do not reach for a product that has fallen into water. Unplug immediately.
· Do not place or store product where it can fall or be pulled into a tub, pool
or sink.
· Protect the product and transformer from drop impact and shocks.
· Do not modify your NOVAFON.
· Do not use the product with attachments that are not recommended by No-
vafon. Only use original Novafon attachments and accessories for sale in the
USA.
· Before each use, check your NOVAFON product for any signs of damage or
wear.
· Do not use the product and either discard or return to your dealer for exami-
nation if any of the following conditions occur:
- if the power cable or plug is damaged.
- if the product fails to work correctly.
- if the product is damaged, e.g. after having been dropped
- if the product was immersed in water or other liquids
- if the product exhibits other safety-related problems, such as emitting
smoke, unusual or excessive heat etc.
· Never leave the product unattended when it is turned on. Do not leave product
plugged in overnight.
· Use an appropriate main power extension cord if the distance to the power
outlet is over 9 feet (3 meters).
· Do not operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used, in other explo-
sive atmospheres or where oxygen is being administered.
· During use, only hold the handle or (extended) extension handle of the device.
Do not hold the product close to the attachments or on the cord.
· To disconnect the device, unplug the power plug from the power outlet. Never
pull the cable.
· Do not carry the product by power cord.
· Never drop or insert any object into any opening on this device.
· Wireless communication devices (e.g. WiFi stations, mobile phones, cordless
phones and their base stations) may interfere with the vibration devices and
should be kept at a minimum distance of 2 Feet (0.5 m) during use.

· Careful supervision is necessary when used on or by children, immobile or
disabled individuals. NOVAFON products should only be used by users from
the age of 18 years who have read the instructions and are competent to use
the product safely.
· Do not use on sleeping or unconscious individuals.
· Keep the product out of the reach of children when not in use.
· Keep children away from packaging materials. There is a risk of suffocation.
· When using the device, bear in mind that the cable may cause a strangula-
tion hazard.
· Do not squeeze or pinch any part of your body, especially your fingers, be-
tween the disk/ball attachment and the product or the fold-out extension
handle and the device.
· Do not use in the Genital area, this product is not intended as an intimate
pleasure toy.
· Do not use outdoors or in wet or damp areas.
· Do not operate under blankets, pillows, towels, clothing etc. or anyplace
where ventilation is limited as the product could overheat and thus cause fire,
electric shock or other injuries to people.
· Use the product only for its intended use as described in this manual.
2.2. OTHER PRECAUTIONS RELATED TO YOUR NOVAFON DEVICE
· Use the initial session to see how the body responds to vibration therapy. If
you experience any discomfort, dizziness or nausea stop session immediately.
· Stop using the NOVAFON product immediately when you start feeling unwell,
nauseous or dizzy and consult your physician.
· Do not use the product if any of the contraindications described in chapter
3 apply to you.
· Do not use the product for more than 20 minutes per application. Leave it to
cool down for at least 15 minutes before you continue.
· Make sure to secure the attachments fully onto the NOVAFON and keep it on
while massaging.
· Do not apply any pressure (use only weight of the product) when using the
NOVAFON product as additional pressure would interfere with the vibratory
effect, i.e. would bring it to a hold.
3. CONTRAINDICATIONS OR WHEN NOT TO USE THE DEVICE
The NOVAFON vibration product is intended for the application of individual
body parts. Do not use the vibration product if one or more of the following
apply to you:
· open wounds incl. incisions, eczema in the area of application
· pregnancy

· metallic or other artificial implants in the area of application
· pacemakers or defibrillators
· deep-brain pacemaker
· blood clots or history of thrombosis, esp. Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
· arteriosclerosis
· Do not use over unexplained calf or abdominal pains
· recent episodes of epilepsy
· cardiac arrhythmia
· tumors in the area of application
· acute episodes of inflammation caused diseases (e.g. Multiple Sclerosis)
· do not use on mucous membranes
· Do not use on inflamed or swollen areas or skin lesions
If you are unsure or have any doubts whether the NOVAFON vibration product is
suitable for you, consult your physician or other health professionals.
If you suffer from diabetes consult your physician before use.
Immediately stop session if you start feeling nauseous, dizzy or otherwise un-
well or if pain in the treated area increases. Do not restart sessions without your
physician’s approval.
If your skin is reddening under the application and goes away within 10 minutes
of the session ending, this is no reason to worry, as the vibration is stimulating
blood circulation which is causing the redness. If the reddening of the skin stays
after 10 minutes or is painful, consult your physician.
4. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
NOVAFON vibration Wellness products have been used for decades for smooth-
ing transient pains and aches which is the physiological effect caused by the
vibration massage and the warming effect it creates. The application of the
vibration massage can be relaxing or stimulating, adding to the Wellness feel-
ing. A stimulating effect is generated by transmitting gentle vibrations to skin
surfaces, muscles, cartilage and tissues, which can often be felt for several
minutes after the application.
The application is very easy. The NOVAFON vibration products allow you to
choose between a more continuous massage (120 Hz) and more of a tapping
massage (60 Hz).

actual intensity, type of housing (chrome-plated, gold-plated and housing shape
and with respect to the features they include (with or without extension handle).

4.2. ACCESSORIES
All NOVAFON vibration products come standard with two exchangeable attach-
ments, the disk attachment and the ball attachment. The attachments can be
easily twisted off (anticlockwise) and on (clockwise). Please contact your re-
tailer for further information on accessories.
4.2.1. DISK ATTACHMENT
The disk attachment is designed for the application of larger body regions by
using the product in a sweeping motion. The disk attachment is included in the
delivery. It can also be ordered as a replacement part.
The disk attachment for the product type NOVAFON pro differs slightly in di-
mension to the other devices’ disks attachments, no different in the product
characteristics, intended use or function.

4.2.2. BALL ATTACHMENT
The ball attachment can be used in the application on smaller target areas and
individual spots. It is included in the delivery, but it can also be ordered as a
replacement part.
5. HOW TO USE
5.1. PRODUCT START-UP
Plug the power plug into a power outlet that provides the specified voltage.
Ensure that the cable is not stretched to a length of more than 9 feet (3 meters)
as that might cause the cable to break. Use a mains extension cord, if required.
Also, do not pull or tug on the power cord as this also might cause the cable to
break and voids your warranty.
Turn on the NOVAFON product using the flip switch . This flip switch is also
used to select the frequency level in the NOVAFON pro and power devices .
5.2. INTENSITY CONTROL
The intensity can be adjusted by turning the control knob. Turning the control
knob clockwise (viewed from the top) reduces the intensity. Consequently,
turning the control knob counter-clockwise increases the intensity. Please bear
in mind that you need to turn the control knob several times to reach the high-
est or lowest intensity. It is recommended that you start at a low intensity and
see what effect is achieved and then increase it as required to suit individual
sensitivity levels.
Do not apply additional pressure when using the NOVAFON device. Instead of
enhancing application effectiveness, this would interfere with the vibratory per-
formance. Perfect vibrations are generated by the mere contact of the NOVA-
FON product with the body, WARNING: See contra-indications above.
5.3. ATTACHMENTS
The disk attachment and ball attachment can be easily replaced. Unscrew the
attachment counter-clockwise to remove it from the product or turn it clock-
wise to tighten it to the device.
5.4. APPLICATIONS & USE
The NOVAFON vibration product can be used directly on the skin or through
fabric/clothing. Guide the NOVAFON slowly over the affected area in circular
or sweeping motion. You can also use the product selectively and rest on the
spot (for up to 60 seconds or when discomfort is felt) to achieve a feeling of
relieve from pain and aches. Please note that you should only guide the product
with its own weight over the affected area and should not apply additional pres-

sure as this will reduce the vibration effect. DO NOT USE THE PRODUCT FOR
MORE THAN 20 MINUTES AT A TIME, and switch it off for at least 15 minutes to
prevent overheating. When applied to sensitive areas (e.g. face, neck, head) or
several body parts at one session, the application duration should be reduced
and adjusted to accommodate the individual needs. The NOVAFON vibration
product can be used on all body parts. Avoid contact with the temple areas.
WARNING: Avoid contact with mucous surfaces or the eyes.
The application should feel pleasant and relaxing at all times. Stop the applica-
tion or change the position of the NOVAFON vibration product if you feel the
application is painful or unpleasant. DO NOT USE THE NOVAFON VIBRATION
PRODUCT IF ANY OF THE ABOVE CONTRAINDICATIONS APPLY TO YOU.
Use of liniments: If you want to use any liniments, only use creams, ointments
or cosmetics indicated for massage application Apply only in a thin layer to the
skin or place a thin cloth between the Novafon product and the skin. To prevent
damage, ensure that fluids or residues cannot seep into the NOVAFON product.
Do not use liniments that contain aromatic oils or alcohol as these can cause
deterioration of the housing, the attachments and the cord thus damaging the
device.
It is normal that the attachments and even the devices head become warm to
the touch during use. This warmth is caused by the mechanics in the device. If
the head becomes hot, turn the product of and let it cool down for at least 15min
before using it again, if the product continue to be hot, Immediately stop the use
and either discard or return to your dealer.
5.5. CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
WARNING: Always disconnect the product from the power source when not
in use and before cleaning. Remove the attachments from the product for
cleaning.
Clean the product housing and attachments with a clean cloth moistened
with drinking quality water or lightly soapy water. You may also use premois-
tened wipes. Do not immerse in water or use any harsh cleaners or solvents.
Do not use cleaners or wipes that contain alcohol (including ethanol, isopro-
panol, acetone) of any kind. Do not use paint thinner, benzene or any other
lacquer thinner.
Leave attachments and the product to air dry fully before reattaching.
When storing unit make sure cord is not twisted or kinked. Do not store your
NOVAFON product in a moist area. Do not store or place your NOVAFON
product where it can drop or fall into water.

7. SERVICE & MAINTENANCE
7.1. TROUBLESHOOTING
Contact our Customer Service if any defects or failures occur (see contact
details at the end of this manual).
7.2. MAINTENANCE
Novafon products have no user serviceable parts. If you have any problems
with your product either discard or return it to your dealer.

7.3. DISPOSAL
This product must be disposed of in accordance to Federal and Local State
law(s).This product must never be disposed of with common household
waste. For environmentally sound disposal, the user is obligated to dispose
of the old product at a designated collection point for the disposal of electri-
cal and electronic equipment.
7.4. CUSTOMER SERVICE
The NOVAFON product requires precise adjustment. Consequently, any nec-
essary repairs must be performed exclusively by the NOVAFON Customer
Service. Please do not send in your defective product without first contacting
the Distributor by telephone to report the damage and determine the scope
of the repair. The repair might be more expensive than a new device. If, dur-
ing the warranty period, the repair of a product proves too costly, NOVAFON
or its distributor will offer a replacement product (to which a 12-months’
limited warranty period will apply).
8. NOVAFON LIMITED WARRANTY
The product is A LIMITED warranted against defects in materials or work-
manship for a period of 1 year from the date of delivery. Warranty coverage
is subject to the presentation of a proof of purchase. Please contact your
dealer directly for any warranty claims. The right of rescission (cancellation
of purchase), the right to demand a reduction in the purchase price (dis-
count) or the right to demand subsequent delivery are generally excluded.
However, the buyer is entitled, at its own discretion, to demand a reduction
in the purchase price or withdraw from the purchase if the seller fails to
remedy a defect covered by the warranty within a reasonable period of time.
Products out of warranty can be repaired at our standard repair charge.
Any damage caused by failure to use the product in accordance with its in-
tended use or resulting from improper or unreasonable use or maintenance
is not covered by the warranty. Such damage is the sole responsibility of the
user. The power cable must not be stretched to a length of over 3 meters.
If a greater distance needs to be covered, an extension cord must be used.
Otherwise the cable may break. Failure to comply with these instructions
will void the warranty.
This limited warranty gives you specific and you may have other rights which
may vary from state to state. No other written express warranty is given. Any
implied warranty including any warranty of merchantability which may arise
