1 GENERAL INFORMATION
To connect the WEG Motor Scan sensors to the Motion Fleet Management (MFM) solution, the X1000
Gateway must be correctly set and connected to the internet, as shown in the General Installation
and Operation Manual - Cassia X1000 Gateway.
This guide is complementary to the Gateway manual, containing additional practical aspects and
recommendations for the operation of the system.
Figure 1.1 on page 4 and Table 1.1 on page 4 show the possible connection types between the X1000 Gateway
and the digital MFM solution.

1.1 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR SYSTEM CONFIGURATION
A user account and a plant registered on the MFM platform.
Laptop, smartphone/tablet and internet access (according to Table 1.1 on page 4).
Basic knowledge of internet networks and information technology.
Gateway manual and MFM solution manual, available with the application.
1.2 GATEWAY CONFIGURATION AND COMMISSIONING VIA WI-FI CONNECTION
The main details and recommendations are available in the Gateway manual. A brief set of instructions for operation
via Wi-Fi connection is presented below:
1. First, connect the mobile phone, tablet or laptop to the Gateway Wi-Fi. The network name and password will
be "cassia-xxxxxx", with "x" being the last 6 digits of the MAC Address (according to item 5.4.1 of the Gateway
manual).
2. To access the configuration environment, use a web browser (preferably Google Chrome) and enter the IP
192.168.40.1 into the address bar.
3. Log in and check the connection settings, according to items 5.4.2 and 5.4.3 of the Gateway manual.
4. In the basic settings tab, at the bottom of the menu, under "Wi-Fi network settings", set the "Operating Mode"
to "Client".
5. Set the connection security mode, according to the policy adopted in the network to be connected and indicated
in item 5.4.4 of the Gateway manual.
6. To establish connection, enter the credentials of the Wi-Fi network (user, password and requirements).
1.3 IMPORTANT NOTES
The credentials requested may vary depending on the security mode.

The client's network and internet connection must have specific requirements and releases, as indicated in
Chapter 2 INTERNET CONNECTION REQUIREMENTS on page 6 of this guide.

2 INTERNET CONNECTION REQUIREMENTS
For the proper Gateway operation and connection to the MFM cloud, the client's network must
fulfill some requirements and releases.
Note: To release the addresses, ports and internet access, ask the IT team responsible for the
network.
The user's network must not have a VPN or PROXY.
The addresses in Table 2.1 on page 6 and the ports in Table 2.2 on page 6 must be accessible.

3 GATEWAY TO MFM CONNECTION TEST
In some situations, it may be necessary to perform a connection test from the Gateway to the MFM
cloud without having to use the user's network or a dongle with access to the 3G/4G mobile network.
In this case, you can follow the steps below:
1. Have 2 devices at hand: a smartphone and a laptop (or another smartphone).
2. Enable the smartphone Wi-Fi router to provide internet to the Gateway.
3. Using the laptop (or smartphone), connect to the Gateway via Wi-Fi.
4. To establish a connection to the Wi-Fi network provided by the smartphone, make the settings according to
Chapter 2 INTERNET CONNECTION REQUIREMENTS on page 6 of this manual
At the end of the procedure described in this topic or in the combination of Chapter 1 GENERAL INFORMATION on
page 4 and Chapter 2 INTERNET CONNECTION REQUIREMENTS on page 6 of this guide, the Gateway
must be online on the MFM platform and sending the measurement data from the WEG Motor Scan sensors that
are close to the Gateway and have the "via Gateway" communication mode.

4 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The data bandwidth required to keep the Gateway connected to the MFM cloud is less than 2GB per month. For
networks with VPN or PROXY, an alternative may be to create an exclusive ADSL connection to the Gateway. This
solution must be checked with the user's IT team.
The MFM platform is compatible with and certified to standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, ISO
22301, ISO 31000 and others. For further information, see the MFM FAQ.

1 INFORMACIONES GENERALES
Para conexión de los sensores WEG Motor Scan a la solución Motion Fleet Management (MFM),
el Gateway X1000 debe estar correctamente configurado y conectado a internet, conforme es
presentado en el Manual General de Instalación y Operación - Gateway Cassia X1000.
Esta guía es complementaria al manual del Gateway, presenta aspectos prácticos adicionales y
recomendaciones para la operación del sistema
La Figura 1.1 en la página 12 y la Tabla 1.1 en la página 12 presentan los tipos de conexiones posibles entre el
Gateway X1000 y la solución digital MFM.

1.1 REQUISITOS MÍNIMOS PARA CONFIGURACIÓN DEL SISTEMA
Poseer una cuenta de usuario y una planta registrada en la plataforma MFM.
Notebook, smartphone/tablet y acceso a internet (conforme la Tabla 1.1 en la página 12).
Poseer conocimiento básico en redes de internet y tecnología de la información.
Manual del Gateway y manual de la solución MFM, disponible en la propia aplicación.
1.2 CONFIGURACIÓN Y COMISIONAMIENTO DEL GATEWAY VÍA CONEXIÓN WIFI
Los detalles y las recomendaciones principales están presentados en el manual del Gateway. A seguir es presentado
un breve paso a paso para la operación vía conexión Wifi:
1. Para iniciar, conéctese al Wifi del Gateway con celular, tablet o notebook. El nombre y la contraseña de la red
serán "cassia-xxxxxx", siendo "x" los 6 últimos dígitos de la MAC Address (conforme el ítem 5.4.1 del manual
del Gateway).
2. Para acceder al ambiente de configuración, utilice un navegador web (dé preferencia al Google Chrome) e
ingrese el IP 192.168.40.1 en la barra de direcciones.
3. Realice el login y verifique las configuraciones de conexión, conforme los ítems 5.4.2 y 5.4.3 del manual del
Gateway.
4. En la pestaña de configuraciones básicas, en la parte inferior del menú, en "Configuraciones de la red Wifi",
definir el "Operating Mode" como "Client".
5. Defina el modo de seguridad de conexión, conforme la política adoptada en la red a ser conectada, y orientado
en el ítem 5.4.4 del manual del Gateway.
6. Para establecer la conexión, informe las credenciales de la red Wifi utilizada (usuario, contraseña y requisitos).
1.3 NOTAS IMPORTANTES
Las credenciales solicitadas pueden variar de acuerdo con el modo de seguridad.

La red del cliente y la conexión con internet deben poseer requisitos y liberaciones específicas, conforme es
presentado en el Capítulo 2 REQUISITOS DE CONEXIÓN CON INTERNET en la página 14 de esta guia.

2 REQUISITOS DE CONEXIÓN CON INTERNET
Para el correcto funcionamiento del Gateway y la correcta conexión con la nube MFM, la red del
cliente debe tener algunos requisitos y liberaciones.
Nota: Para liberación de las direcciones, puertos y acceso a internet, realizar la solicitud al equipo
de TI responsable por la red.
La red del usuario no debe tener VPN ni PROXY.
Las direcciones de la Tabla 2.1 en la página 14 y de los puertos de la Tabla 2.2 en la página 14 deben
estar accesibles.

3 PRUEBA DE CONEXIÓN DEL GATEWAY AL MFM
En algunas situaciones, puede ser necesario realizar una prueba de conexión del Gateway a la
nube MFM, sin necesidad de utilización de la red del usuario o de un dongle con acceso a red móvil
3G/4G. En ese caso, se pueden realizar los siguientes pasos:
1. Tener al alcance 2 dispositivos: smartphone y notebook (u otro smartphone).
2. Active el ruteador Wifi del smartphone para proveer internet al Gateway.
3. Utilizando el notebook (o smartphone), conéctese al Gateway por el Wifi.
4. Para establecer conexión a la red Wifi proporcionada por el smartphone, ajuste la configuración conforme el
Capítulo 2 REQUISITOS DE CONEXIÓN CON INTERNET en la página 14 de este manual.
Al fin del procedimiento de este tópico o de la combinación de los Capítulo 1 INFORMACIONES GENERALES
en la página 12 y Capítulo 2 REQUISITOS DE CONEXIÓN CON INTERNET en la página 14 de esta guía, el
Gateway deberá estar online en la plataforma MFM y enviando los datos de medición de los sensores WEG Motor
Scan que estén próximos al Gateway y tengan el modo de comunicación "vía Gateway".

4 INFORMACIONES ADICIONALES
La banda de datos necesaria para mantener el Gateway conectado a la nube MFM es inferior a 2GB por mes.
Para redes con VPN o PROXY, una alternativa puede ser la creación de una conexión ADSL exclusiva para el
Gateway. Esta acción debe ser verificada con el equipo de TI del usuario.
La plataforma MFM es compatible y certificada en estándares como ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, ISO 22301,
ISO 31000 y otros. Para más informaciones, consultar el FAQ del MFM.
