Dear users!
Thank you for choosing WEXLER products! WEXLER.Flex ONE is the world’s first e-reader, based on polimer 6" display E-ink.
Flex ONE is the world’s lightest and thinnest e-reader.
Please, read this user's manual before operating the device. The manual contains basic operations of the e-reader and
its basic functions.
Warning
Wexler has no responsibility for data loss caused by failure of software, electronics, maintenance, battery
replacement and other cases. Wexler is not responsible for use of any third party software.
Hardware and software of the device is constantly being improved, with features not yet added to this manual.

1. Dear Customer, treat this electronic device with care.
1. Do not repair the device by yourself. If there are any problems, contact manufacturer or your local service
center.
2. Do not hold this device near the source of electromagnetic fields.
3. Be careful when using, storing and transportation of e-reader.
4. When storing, transporting or operating device keep it out of humidity. Avoid dripping or splashing water.
5. Do not clean e-reader with water or chemical agents. For cleaning, wipe it with a soft dry cloth
6. Do not use excessive force to press any of the keys of your e-reader.
7. Do not expose the e-reader to direct sunlight for a long time. Avoid extremely high or low temperatures.
8. Protect device from shaking and dropping,
9. When using memory card, pay attention onto the information on it. Do not use excessive force when inserting
the memory card to avoid damaging of card or connector
10. To avoid overheating, do not keep USB-cable connected to the PC for a long time.
When not using the e-reader, disconnect USB-cable.
11. Please do not store or operate the device in hot, cold, dusty, or extremely humid or dry conditions
12. Do not switch off e-reader during the formatting or data transmission, as it can cause loss of data.
13. Do not use this e-reader in places, where the use of electronic devices is prohibited.
Charging Precautionary measures:
1. The e-reader is equipped with an embedded lithium-polymer battery. To provide maximum capacity and extend battery
life, it is recommended to charge the battery for 8 hours before first use.
2. After full charge continue to charging for 30 more minutes as this will extend lifetime of the battery.
3. The lithium-polymer battery may be replaced in a service center. Users must not replace the battery themselves.
4. Hours of work of the e-reader depend on operating modes. When using the e-reader in different modes, hours of work
differ.
5. Two ways of charging are possible:
a) Charging from the computer by means of the microUSB cable. The e-reader is always charged, regardless of whether or
not it is switched on.
b) Charging with power adapter.
6. It is normal for the the e-reader to heat during charge
7. When connecting the device to charge, the e-reader is automatically switched on. To switch it off press and hold button
® for about 3 seconds. Charging will continue.

8. Low energy consumption.Unique technology provides up to 5000 page turns per one battery charge.
4. Key Functions:
1. Back: return to the last opened folder.
2. Up: in a reading mode, use to go to the previous page. In the menu, use to move up.
3. Left: press to move left.
4. Down: in a reading mode use to go to the next page. In the menu, use to move down.
5. Menu: confirmation; activation of menu in a reading mode.
6. Right: press to move right.
7. Power button: press and hold for 5 seconds to turn the power on and off. Short click activates the context menu.
8. The MicroUSB connecter: Connects the device to the computer and charges by means of the cable.
9. Charging indicator: flashes during charge, turns off when fully charged.
10. RESET: reloads the e-reader, if functions get locked
Note: button functions may change, depending on the interface.
6. Basic Operations.
1. On/off
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds to turn on. The main menu is displayed. Press and hold the power
button for 5 seconds to turn off.
2. File selection in the main menu
To select files in the main menu, use buttons «right», «left», «up» and «down». Press «ОК» to confirm your
selection.

3. File review
For viewing of files select “open file explorer” in the main interface.
4. Connection to the computer and file transfer
Use the microUSB cable to connect the e-reader to the computer. The e-reader may be used as a removable disk.
After connection you can copy files.
5. Reset
If the e-reader does not respond for a long time, you can use RESET to reload the system.
7. Operation Instructions
After turning on , the main interface is displayed as follows:
The following operations are available in the main interface:
1. Using control buttons, you can select one of five options: ««Settings», «Readnow», «Last Read », «Open file
explorer» and «Added recently».

2. Quick press on the power button activates additional menu:
1) Select to rotate the screen (four orientations are possible).
2) Select to search the book:

Control of the keyboard display is performed by means of buttons «left», «right», «up», «down» and «ОК».
1) Select to enter additional symbols.
2) Select to enter capital letters.
3) Select to switch between Russian and English layout.
4) Select to use a spacebar.
5) Select to delete the last symbol.
6) Select to enter.
7.1. Last read
1. Four recently read books are displayed in the main interface. To open one of them, select it and press the button
«ОК». Press the button «reset» to return to the main interface.
You can select «Further review» to display the list of books recently read. 10 books read earlier are available in this
mode. Press the button «reset» to return to the main interface.
7.2. Book selection
1) Select one of the books in the main interface to read it. Use control buttons, then press «ОК».
2) To exit the reading mode and return to the list of books press the button «Reset».

7.3. Reading of the book
In the reading mode, quickly click on the power button to activate an additional menu:
1) Select to change font size.
2) Select to change screen orientation (four orientations are possible).
3) Select to search part of a word (not available in all formats).
4) To exit the additional menu without changes, press the button “Reset”.
5) Use control buttons to turn pages forward or back.Context menu
Press the button "OK" to activate the context menu. The following is available in the context menu, depending on the
book format: work with bookmarks, quick transfer to the page by its number, mode change from customary to
inversion and vice versa, setting of margins, review of callouts, scaling and review of the contents page.
7) Work with bookmarks.
Press the button “OK” in a reading mode to activate the context menu, then select “Save the bookmark”. 8
bookmarks can be created for each book. To continue reading press the button “reset”.

To open the bookmark press the button “OK” and select “Go to the bookmarks”, Then select the necessary bookmark
and confirm your selection by pressing “OK” or press “reset” to exit.
9) transfer to page by its number
Press the button “OK” to activate the context menu, then select “Go to the page”. Use buttons “up” and “down” to
change values, and use buttons “left” and “right” to go between positions and press “OK” to confirm or “Cancel”.
Press “OK” to go to the selected page and “reset” to return to reading.

9) Inversion mode
Press the button “OK” to activate the context menu, then select “Inversion” to go to the inversion mode. White
letters on the black background are displayed in this mode. To go to a normal mode press the buton “OK” to activate
the context menu and select “Normal mode”.
10) Setting of fields
Press the button “OK” to activate the context menu, then select “Set fields”.
1) Setting of line spacing: choose one of the leading values. Depending on the file format, several values are available.
2) Page fields: it helps to change left and right page fields. Three values are available: small, medium and large fields.
3) Break paragraphs: breaks paragraphs, adding blank line between them.
Notes:
1) Breaking paragraphs function is available only with TXT files.
2) Setting of fields is not available for PDF, DJVU and DOC files.
11) Quick paging
Hold the button “up” and “down” to go to the quick paging mode.
12) Search by the text
Quick press on the power button in a reading mode activates an additional menu, select in it to search a book by
text. Then enter a word or a block with the help of the keyboard display:
After entering, select on the keyboard display and press the button “OK”. To search the next word entry,
press the button “right”, to search the previous word entry, press “left”.
Note: Search function is not available for EPUB, DOC, PDF, DJVU and TXT files.
Attention:
1) Zooming in DOC and PDF files results in zooming of the entire page, and when pressing buttons “down”
and “up”, shifting within a page is performed, followed by moving to the next page. At that, total number
of document pages, displayed on the top line, remains the same.
2) In PDF files, zooming the page may not fit on the screen vertically and horizontally. Transition between blocks
is performed by means of control buttons, in this case, the total number of document pages, displayed on the
top line, remains the same.
3) Time to open files, depends on their format and size. Some images may not be displayed in very large
documents.
4) When reading files with images, time for page turning increases.
5) To facilitate access to files, it’s recommended to use several folders. Do not use long names and special
symbols, which may not be displayed for folder names.
7.4 Recently Added
The section “Recently Added” displays recent files, copied to the memory of the e-reader. For fast transition to them,
select the necessary file and press the button “OK”. Up to 32 copied files are displayed.

7.5 Settings
1) To have access to e-reader settings select “Settings” in the main interface and confirm your selection.
2) In the mode “Settings”, status of memory is displayed. in addition to information about the device, reset of
all settings, formatting of the e-reader memory, control of connection to the PC, selection of the menu font,
setting of the time-out timer, language selection, setting of data and time, forced screen clearing.
A. Memory state: in this mode the volume of engaged and available memory of the e-reader is displayed.
B. Information about the device: name of the manufacturer, model name, processor brand and software version.
C. Reset of all settings: restores to default settings.
D. Formatting: formatting of the e-reader memory. Attention! All data will be lost when formatting.
E. Connection to the PC: control of the connection to the PC to copy files.
F. Menu font: selection of the menu font. After font selection, the system automatically returns to the main
interface, and sections “read now” and “Last read” will be cleared.
G. Time-out timer: set the timer from 0 to 999 minutes. To turn off the timer select 0.
H. Language selection: selection of the language of the e-reader interface. Russian, English, French, Chinese,
Polish and other languages are available.
I. Setting date and time: Set the year, month, date and time. Use buttons “left” and “right” to select the field,
value is changed with buttons “up” and “down”. Save settings before exit.
J. Screen clearing: select time to clear the screen. The following values are available: 5 min, 10 min, 20 min and 30
min.
Note: this function is activated, if the device is not used.
7.6 File delete
Open the file explorer and select the file you want to delete. Quickly press on the power button, and in in the
additional menu select , then confirm delete.

8. Battery:
8.1 When the battery is charged, is displayed on the upper right corner. After full charge the sign is
automatically changed to .
8.2 If the battery is low, is displayed. The battery must be charged.
8.3 To obtain maximum charge capacity and extend battery life, it is recommended to charge the battery for up
to 8 hours before using the device the first time. If the battery is completely charged and uncharged the first
three times, its charge capacity will be expanded.
8.5 It recommended to completely charge and uncharged the battery once in three months to save the lithium-
polymer battery.
8.6 After charging, take the cable out of the microUSB connecter and remove the charging device out of the
socket connector. Please, do not leave the charging device plugged in, if the e-reader is not connected.
8.7 If the e-reader have not been used for a long time, completely charge and uncharged the battery.
8.8 The device can be used after charging. If the battery is completely uncharged, please, charge it with the
power adapter (charging device) before connecting to the PC.
Use the charging device in the following situations:
A. If the battery sign shows low charge.
B. The device has automatically turned off, and does not turn on.
C. There is no response from any buttons
D. Charging from the USB port is not stable or successful.
9. Troubleshooting Guide
1. The e-reader does not turn on.
Connect the e-reader to the charging device. Charge the battery completely before use.
If the e-reader does not turn on after charging, contact your local service center.
2. Files are not copied to the device.
Check the accuracy of connection of the e-reader to the PC. Make sure you have sufficient available memory. Check
the cable.
3. The system has locked up or does not work properly.
Use "Reset all settings” and “RESET”.
To avoid system instability, do not press buttons too often or fluctuate battery charge.
4. Device operation period from one charge is not continuous.
Operation period of the lithium-polymer battery depends on the environment temperature and usage mode.
Operation time can be reduced in temperatures too high or too low. The e-reader is recommended to be used in
normal conditions. Frequent turning on/off of the device reduces operating time.
