8. Preparatory work before installation
Check if all cables (e. . 230 V AC, antenna and the RCA cable for AUX) are installed in accordance with
installation uidelines, and your desired port scenario.
Note:
To et a proper installation please pull out some cable len th out of the wall and flush mountin box to
connect the terminals without obstruction. Draw back the cable in the wall or the flush mountin box
a ain before fixin the device with the screw. Have enou h space available in your instructive tube and
your flush mountin box.

9.
Installing t e device
9.1.
General
The device has an installation depth of 58 mm.
For the UP-electronics box is a minimum depth of 60 mm prerequisite for correct installation (e. . KAISER
electronics box 1068-02).
Mount the flush-mounted box at the intended location.
Note:
The flush-mountin box is not supplied.
Disconnect the cables necessary for connection of somethin out of the box and plu in the device.

Connecting t e spare parts
:
The display unit is plu ed onto the mountin plate with a 10-pin plu .
On the back of the mountin plate are the connections for:
1. Antenna (2-pin connector)
2. Flush-mounted / connection unit (14-pole flat-ribbon cable / ! NOTE CODING !)
Connect the antenna (screws visible, top) and connect the flush-mountin / connection unit to the
mountin plate via the flat-ribbon cable (! NOTE CODING !).
Attention:
Never remove the display unit under volta e.

Connect the cables accordin to your
application scenario.
Note for connecting a MONO speaker:
If you want to connect only one loudspeaker 4/8/20 Ohm (mono mode), use either the ri ht or the left
channel (+/- on the LSP to R +/- or +/- on the LSP to L +/-).
Note: 230VAC connection:
To protect the device a ainst electroma netic interference there is the silicone tube. Cut it into 2 pieces
and run the wires (L) and (N) of the 230V cable throu h the tubes before connectin them on the
terminal.
Push the silicone tube as far as possible to the terminal.
Attention:
When connectin the supply volta e (230V ~ / 50Hz), the electrical system must be volta e free.
The supply line must be protected with circuit breaker (max. 16A).
This work may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.

9.3.
Installation of t e
device in t e wall
Carefully insert the electronics insert with the connected cables into the flush-mounted socket. Make sure
that the cables are not overly bent or pulled out of the terminals.
The antenna can be inserted in an empty pipe.
Note:
Make sure that the cable is not bent too much, the plu is pulled out of the terminals and / or the pins of
the connector are not bent.
Screw the mountin plate of the DAB radio into the flush-mounted socket with the enclosed PT screws.
After this has been installed, the front plate is inserted and the switch frame is fixed.
Differences in hei ht between the front plate and the switch frame can be compensated by the
compensatin frames supplied.
Note:
The device context is not supplied but must be obtained directly from the manufacturer of the switch
pro ram. Suitable are frames with an outburst of 55 x 55 mm.

- Which FM stations should be preset (priority)?
- Which DAB transmitters should be preset (priority)?
- Should an alarm function be used daily (Mo ... FR / SA / SO)?
- How lon should the alarm function be active?
- What is the bri htness of the display? If the display is e. . In the bedroom is DARK, you can activate the
display for a certain time before it ets dark a ain!
