This Whirlpool Service Manual (Part No. W11403592), provides the In-Home Service Professional with service
informaon for the “Wine Center.”
The Wiring Diagram used in this Service Manual is typical and should be used for training purposes only. Always
use the Wiring Diagram supplied with the product tech sheet when servicing the refrigerator.
For specic operang and installaon informaon on the model being serviced, refer to the “Use and Care
Guide” or “Installaon Instrucons” provided with the refrigerator.

properly diagnose malfuncons and repair the “Wine Center.”

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury when using your wine celler, follow these basic precautions:
This appliance is not intended foruse by persons (including
children) with reduced physical,sensory or mental
capabilities,or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance.
To avoid the riskof children becoming trapped and
suffocating, do not allow them to play or hide inside the
wine cellar.
If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified
person.
Keep ventilation openings, in the appliance enclosure or in
the built-in structure, clear of obstruction.
Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate
the defrosting process, other than those recommended by
the manufacturer.
Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.
Plug into a grounded 3 prong outlet.
Do not remove ground prong.
Do not use an adapter.
Do not use an extension cord.
Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace allparts and panels before operating.
Remove doors from your old wine cellar.
Use non flammable cleaner.
Do not store or use petrol, flammable liquids or gas in the
vicinity of this or other electrical appliances. The fumes can
cause fires or explosions.
Do not store explosive substances such as aerosol cans with
a flammable propellant in this wine cellar.
Do not use or place electrical devices inside the wine cellar
compartments if they are not of the type expressly authorized
by the manufacture.
Use two or more people to move and install wine cellar.

Electrical Shock Hazard
Only authorized technicians should perform
diagnostic voltage measurements.
After performing voltage measurements,
disconnect power before servicing.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in
death or electrical shock.
Voltage Measurement Safety Information
When performing live voltage measurements, you must do the following:
■ Verify the controls are in the off position so that the appliance does not start when energized.
■ Allow enough space to perform the voltage measurements without obstructions.
■ Keep other people a safe distance away from the appliance to prevent potential injury.
■ Always use the proper testing equipment.
■ After voltage measurements, always disconnect power before servicing.
WARNING
Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect power before servicing.
Failure to do so can result in death or
electrical shock.
Replace all parts and panels before operating.
IMPORTANT:Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Sensitive Electronics
ESD problems are present everywhere. ESD may damage or weaken the electronic control assembly. The new control
assembly may appear to work well after repair is finished, but failure may occur at a later date due to ESD stress.
■ Use an antistatic wrist strap. Connect wrist strap to green ground connection point or unpainted metal in the
appliance -OR-
Touch your finger repeatedly to a green ground connection point or unpainted metal in the appliance.
■ Before removing the part from its package, touch the antistatic bag to a green ground connection point or
unpainted metal in the appliance.
■ Avoid touching electronic parts or terminal contacts; handle electronic control assembly by edges only.
■ When repackaging failed electronic control assembly in antistatic bag, observe above instructions.
Explosion Hazard
Risk of fire or explosion. Flammable refrigerant used.
Do not use mechanical devices to defrost refrigerator.
Do not puncture refrigerant tubing.

Error Codes

E1 T1 sensor open circuit Check the wiring and connecon between
PCB and sensor, if it is open circuit.
If the connecon and wiring are normal, replace
the sensor.
E2 T1 sensor short circuit Check the wiring and connecon between
PCB and sensor, if it is open circuit.
E3 T2 sensor open circuit Check the wiring and connecon between
PCB and sensor, if it is open circuit.
E4 T2 sensor short circuit Check the wiring and connecon between
PCB and sensor, if it is short circuit.
HI Inner temperature too high
1. Display on both compartment:
a. Check if any refrigerant leakage. a. Repair the leakage.
b. Check if the capillary jam. b. Clean or replace the capillary.
c. Check the evaporator fan. c. Replace the evaporator fan.
2. Display on lower compartment: Check
the lower fan If the fan is broken, replace it.
LO&CL Inner temperature too low Check if the PCB is normal. Replace the PCB.

Ƀ Follow normal sealed system purging, capturing, brazing, and charging procedures
for models: WUW35X15DS01, WUW35X24DS01, WUW55X15DS01, WUW55X24DS01, WUW55X15HS00, and WUW55X24HS00.
Ƀ Follow R600a sealed system purging, capturing, lokring,
and charging procedures outlined in Service Manual W11105483 for models: WUW35X15DS02, WUW35X24DS02, WUW55X15HS01,
and WUW55X24HS01.

NOTES:
Ƀ Follow normal
sealed system purging, capturing, brazing, and charging
procedures for models: WUW35X15DS01, WUW35X24DS01,
WUW55X15DS01, WUW55X24DS01, WUW55X15HS00, and
WUW55X24HS00.
Ƀ
 Follow R600a sealed system purging,
capturing, lokring, and charging procedures outlined in
Service Manual W11105483 for models: WUW35X15DS02,
WUW35X24DS02, WUW55X15HS01, and WUW55X24HS01.
The Display Does Not Work:
1. Is the power supply cord unplugged? Check if the
refrigerator cabinet lights illuminate. It is a simple way
to check the power supply. If lights in the cabinet are not
illuminang, check the power supply (power cord, plug,
socket).
2. If the display sll not receiving power input, check the Main
PCB circuit.
3. If there is the power to the display and does not work, the
control panel has failed.
The Inner Temperature Is Not Rising Correctly:
1. Is the inner temperature lower than the set temperature
 Check the
PTC heater with the mulmeter, if it works normally.
2. If any PTC heater is sll not receiving power input, then check
the Main PCB circuit and its wiring.
The Compressor Is Not Working Properly:
1. If the Wine Center not cooling, check the current with the
Ampere meter. Refer to the rang label for the recommended
value.
2. If the amp rang is too high, check the compressor winding.
3. If the amp rang is too low, then check for the refrigerant
leak, inecient compressor or restricon in the sealed
system.
NOTE: Wine Center takes approximate 3 hours to reach to the
lowest set temperature of 5°C (41°F) for an empty unit.
The Compressor Is Creating Noise:
• If the noise of the compressor is not steady or very high, then
the compressor is faulty. Repair or replace the compressor.
• If the shock absorpon rubber of the compressor has become
hard or damaged, then replace the shock absorpon rubber.
• If the xing screws of the compressor is too ght or loose, it
will cause noise, then replace the screws.
The Evaporator Fan Is Creating Noise:
1. If the noise of the evaporator fan is extremely high and
abnormal, replace the faulty fan.
Refrigerant Flow Noise Is Louder Than Normal:
1. The end of the capillary is in the wrong posion, or there are
rough edges on the end of the capillary.
Repair the capillary to evaporator joint using the proper
method depending on gas type.
2. Reposion the capillary tube into the correct posion [not
exceeding 0.6" (15 mm) in the evaporator] and pack the joint
with an-vibraon compound.
3. Recharge the sealed system with the proper refrigerant.
Capillary Vibration Noise:
1. The capillary is in the wrong posion, and may be rubbing on
the cabinet.
2. Reposion the capillary tube in the Machine compartment or
behind the evaporator cover.
3. If the capillary touches the inner cabinet and the air duct
panel, then adjust the posion of the capillary and add an-
vibraon compound.
Noise in Sealed System Because Oil Is Jammed:
1. If intermient and deep jet noise coming from inside of the
capillary, then clean the cooling system pipe, vacuumize it
and recharge it with the refrigerant.
The Evaporator Is Not Defrosting:
1. If the door is le open or not sealing properly, then replace
the door seal or close the door correctly.
2. If the door seal is not air-proof, then seal it with the heat
dryer. Then move up and down unl it comes back to the
normal state.
3. When it becomes cool, check it with the closed door.
4. If there is any distoron, dry it again unl it xes for the door.
5. If the fan is broken, replace the fan.
6. If the Wine Center is sll not cooling, verify the sealed system
is working properly and replace any necessary parts.
Unstable Temperatures Inside The Cabinet:
1. If the fan is not running with the running compressor, then
check the fan connecons and verify there is correct voltage
to the fan.
2. If the fan is broken, replace it with the same model.
3. When the door opens, the fan of the evaporator pauses.
The Machine Is Not Cooling/Compressor Is Off:
1. Is the power supply cord unplugged? Check if the
refrigerator cabinet lights illuminate. It is a simple way
to check the power supply. If lights in the cabinet are not
illuminang, check the power supply (power cord, plug,
socket).
2. Check the error codes on the display (refer to the page).
3. If error codes are not displaying, check the power input of
the starter. The starter is failed if it is not receiving power
input.
4. If the starter is not receiving power input, check the power
input of the protector. The protector is failed if it is not
receiving power input.
The Lower Compartment Not Cooling:
1. Is the lower compartment fan running normally? If the fan
is not running normally, then check the fan connecons and
verify there is correct voltage to the fan. If those are good,
replace the lower compartment fan.

The upper compartment not cooling with running compressor:
Steps/Actions If Yes If No
Close the door and turn the power on for
5 minutes. The alarm will ring.
1. Check if the switch pressing piece on
the door of the boom is working. If
the switch pressing is not working,
repair it.
2. Check for the switch act when closing
the door, using a mulmeter. If
mulmeter does not show any reading,
replace the faulty switch.
3. Check the wiring connecon between
switch and Main ACU. Repair the faulty
wiring.
4. If the switch sll not receiving power
input, replace the ACU circuit.
Do not open the door frequently.
Check if the hot goods are put in the
cabinet.
Take out the hot goods. Check the door gasket.
Check if the door gasket is air-proof. The cooling system is faulty. Repair the
cooling system.
The cooling system is faulty. Repair the
cooling system.
