2. Select%Internet%Protocol%Version%4%(TCP/IPv4)%then%select%Properties%
3. Select%”Use%the%following%IP%Address”%%
4. Enter%IP%Address:%192.168.144.99%
5. Enter%Submask:%255.255.255.0%
6. Select%“OK”%
7. Open%internet%browser%
8. Enter%default%IP%Address%of%the%WiP7500%–%192.168.1.155%
9. When%complete,%reset%computer%to%original%TCP/IP%settings%

2. Select%“Ethernet”%in%left%column%list.%
3. Change%Configure%IPv4%from%“DHCP”%to%“Manually”%
4. Enter%IP%Address:%192.168.1.99%

6. Select%“Apply”%
7. Open%internet%browser%
8. Enter%default%IP%Address%of%the%WiP7500%–%192.168.1.155%
9. When%complete,%reset%computer%to%original%TCP/IP%settings%

Coax!Network!PHY!Test!
The%PHY%Rate%table%is%a%valuable%diagnostic%tool%for%identifying%marginal%MoCA%connections.%%It%can%also%be%used%to%verify%
performance%of%the%coaxial%cabling%network%prior%to%completion%of%install.%%The%PHY%Rate%table%is%accessed%in%the%Management%folder%
on%the%configuration%menu%page.%
The%table%shows%the%PHY%rate%in%megabits%per%second%(Mbps)%relative%to%other%MoCA%devices%in%the%network.%%Each!MoCA!device!is!
identified!by!the!Location!ID!for!WiP7500’s!and!the!last!6!digits!of!the!MAC!address!for!other!MoCA!devices.%
The%data%rates%are%the%average%of%the%TX%(transmit)%and%RX%(receive)%data%rates%between%bridges.%
PHY!Rate!Table*!
Low%link%rates%below%600Mbps%for%MoCA2.0%devices%and%below%200Mbps%for%MoCA1.1%devices%appear%in%red%and%indicate%less%than%
optimum%data%throughput.%%Problems%may%be%caused%by%poor%quality%cable,%poor%quality%“F”%connectors,%obsolete%500MHz%splitters%
or%loss%due%to%excessive%coax%cable%run%lengths%between%node.!

Loop%Out%F-Connector.%%%The%MoCA%signal%is%delivered%to%the%STB%by%
using%an%RF%2way%splitter%(see%diagram).%

Basic!Installation!Steps!
The%WiP7500%WiFi%Access%Points%may%be%installed%without%any%
configuration%or%setup%by%simply%connecting%to%the%coax%network%
as%shown%in%the%Connection%diagram.%
1. Check%coax%endpoint%location%connections%to%confirm%
that%they%are%connected%to%the%main%coax%TV%network.%
2. Locate%the%Broadband%Modem.%
3. Install%WiP7500%Ethernet%Coax%Bridge%by%connecting%
Modem%Ethernet%output%to%any%of%the%WiP7500%RJ45%
Ethernet%ports.%

4. Connect%”Cable%In”%F%connector%on%WiP7500%to%Coax%outlet%or%to%RF%splitter%output%port,%if%present.%
5. Connect%“Loop%Out”%F%connector%on%WiP7500%to%the%TV%or%to%MoCA%Set-Top-Box,%if%present.%

Advanced!Configuration!&!Installation!Steps!
The%WiP7500%can%be%configured%to%allow%custom%settings%such%as:%changing%wireless%network%name%(SSID)%and%password,%assignment%of%a%
static%IP%Address,%upgrade%of%Firmware%and%access%to%a%built-in%network%PHY%Rate%table%for%diagnostics%and/or%verification%of%physical%
cabling%integrity.%%Steps%to%access%the%configuration%setup%are%as%follows:%
1. WiP7500%must%not%be%connected%to%coax%network%during%this%procedure.%%
2. Connect%computer%directly%to%the%WiP7500%with%an%Ethernet%cable.%
3. Set%computer%TCP/IP%properties%setting%to%a%static%IP%Address%which%is%on%the%same%subnet%as%the%WiP7500’s%default%IP%Address%
–%192.168.1.99.%%Also%set%the%Subnet%Mask%to%255.255.255.0.%
4. Open%Web%browser%on%the%computer%and%enter%the%WiP7500%default%static%IP%Address%of%192.168.1.155%into%the%browser%
address%bar.%
5. Enter%the%User%Name%“admin”%and%Password%“wi3admin”.%
