WHEN USING ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES, BASIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS SHOULD ALWAYS BE FOLLOWED,
INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
To protect against electrical shock, do not put the motor body, cord or electrical plug of this Immersion
Blender in water or other liquid. The detachable blending shaft of this appliance has been designed
forimmersion into water or other liquids. Never submerge any other portion of this unit.
If the motor body falls into liquid, remove immediately. Do not reach into the liquid without unplugging
the unit first.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory
ormental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision
orinstruction concerning use of the appliances by a person responsible for their safety.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off attachments and before cleaning.
Tounplug, grasp plug and pull from electrical outlet. Never pull cord.
CAUTION: AVOID CONTACT WITH MOVING PARTS. Touching the moving parts can cause serious injury.
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions,
oritisdropped, or has been damaged in any way. Contact your retailer for information on inspection,
repair or adjustments.
CAUTION: Blades are SHARP. Handle the stainless-steel blending blade with care. Do not place your bare
fingers inside the blade housing. Keep hands and utensils out of container while blending to reduce the
risk of severe injury to persons or damage to the blender.
The use of attachments, including canning jars, not recommended by the manufacturer may cause a risk
of injury to persons.
Do not use outdoors.
Do not use for other than intended use.
Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter.
Do not let cord contact hot surfaces, including the stove.

ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
ALL USERS OF THIS APPLIANCE MUST READ AND UNDERSTAND THIS INSTRUCTION MANUAL BEFORE
OPERATING OR CLEANING THIS APPLIANCE.
If this appliance falls into or accidentally becomes immersed in water, unplug it immediately.
DO NOT REACH INTO THE WATER!
Do not use this appliance after it has fallen into or becomes immersed in water.
If this appliance begins to malfunction during use, immediately STOP, then unplug the cord.
DO NOT USE THIS APPLIANCE FOR OTHER THAN ITS INTENDED USE.
CAUTION: NEVER process boiling liquids. Allow to cool first and use care when blending hot liquids.
Fill a tall container no more than halfway, and process small quantities at a time to reduce spillage
andavoid injury.
Remove the shaft from the motor body before washing.
If food becomes lodged around the blending blades, release either the (I) or (II) button. Then unplug
thecord. Make sure the motor and blades have completely stopped before removing the blending shaft
from the motor base. Use a spatula to dislodge or stir the food before continuing.
CAUTION: Keep fingers away from blades as they are sharp.
NOTES ON THE PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock,
this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug.
Ifitstill does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.
NOTES ON THE CORD
A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) is provided to reduce the risk resulting from
becoming tangled or tripped over.
Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care
isexercised in their use.
If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:
1) the marked electrical rating of the cord or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical
rating of the appliance;
2) if the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounding-type3-wire cord.
3) the longer cord should be arranged so that it does not drape over the countertop or table top where
itcan be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
ELECTRIC POWER
If the electrical circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your appliance may not operate properly. It should
be operated on a separate electrical circuit from other appliances.

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR IMMERSION BLENDER
Product may vary slightly from illustrations.
EXTRA-LONG ELECTRICAL CORD. Enables you to blend soups and sauces directly in the saucepan
(notshown).
VARIABLE SPEED CONTROL DIAL (1 – 5). Use when slower speeds for blending, chopping, mincing,
grinding, or whisking are needed.
LOW (|)Button. Press and quickly release to PULSE. Turn the control dial to change speed.
Hold for continuous low speed action. When the button is released, processing will STOP.
HIGH (||) Button. Press and quickly release to PULSE. Hold for continuous high speed action.
When the button is released, processing will STOP.
MOTOR BODY WITH ERGONOMIC HANDLE. Easy to grip.
8-INCH STAINLESS-STEEL SHAFT to reach inside deep vessels.

BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
Read all operating instructions carefully.
Carefully unpack the Immersion Blender and attachments. Remove all packaging materials
andanylabels from the outer surfaces.
CAUTION: Blades are SHARP. Handle the blade with care. Do not place your bare fingers inside
the blade guard.
Wipe the blender motor body with a clean, damp cloth to remove any dirt or dust. Drythoroughly with
asoft absorbent cloth. Handle carefully.
Wash the shaft by hand or in the top rack of your dishwasher.
Dry thoroughly before use.
CAUTION: To protect against electric shock, NEVER immerse the motor body or allow cord to come
intocontact with water or other liquids.
IMMERSION BLENDER
IMPORTANT: Always make sure the shaft is dry; keep the connection point free of moisture.
Place the motor body and shaft on a flat, clean work area.
Align the center (•) dot on the motor body with the shaft’s UNLOCK ( ) icon. (See Figure 1)
Turn the shaft clockwise until the LOCK ( ) icon is directly under the center (•) dot and both pieces
arelocked together. (See Figure 2)
Plug the power-supply cord into a 120V AC electrical wall outlet.
To process at slower speeds, turn the variable speed control dial at the top of the motor body
tothedesired speed (1 – 6).
NOTE: To avoid splattering and over-processing, begin slower, then increase speed as needed.
Place food to be processed into any tall cooking or mixing container.
Insert the blending shaft deep into the bottom of the container. (See Figure 3)
Press and quickly release either speed button for PULSE action.

Press and hold the top VARIABLE speed (|) button to blend at slower speeds. Increase speed setting
byturning the variable speed control dial. When the button is released, blending will STOP.
For a consistently fast speed, press and hold the HIGH speed (||) button. Blend ingredients with a gentle
lift and lower motion.
When the button is released, it will turn OFF.
IMPORTANT: If food becomes lodged around the blending blade or the blade housing, release the speed button
and unplug the blender. Turn to unlock and remove the shaft from the motor body. Use a long-handled kitchen
brush to clear debris and rinse well under running water. Assemble unit andcontinue processing.
When processing is complete and the blades are completely stopped, lift the blender out ofthe blending container.
To avoid splattering, make sure the blade has completely stopped.
Remove the plug from the electrical outlet.
USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance requires little maintenance. It contains no user serviceable parts. Do not try to repair it
yourself. Contact a qualified appliance repair technician if the product requires servicing.
CARE & CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION: Never immerse the power base, plug or cord in water or any other liquid.
Always unplug the blender before cleaning.
Rinse the shaft under warm running water after each use.
If food becomes lodged around the blending blade or the blade housing, release the speed button
andunplug the blender. Turn to unlock and remove the shaft from themotorbody. Use a long-handled
kitchen brush to clear debris and rinse well under running water.
CAUTION: BLADE IS SHARP! Do not place your bare fingers near the blade.
The shaft is top-rack dishwasher safe.
Wipe the motor body with a damp cloth or sponge. Dry thoroughly.
WARNING: DO NOT IMMERSE THE MOTOR BODY IN WATER
STORING INSTRUCTIONS
Unplug and clean the blender and all parts. Then assemble the body to the shaft and store in its original
box or in a clean, dry place.
Never store the blender while the motor body is plugged in.
Never wrap cord tightly around the appliance. Never place any stress on cord, especially where the cord
enters the power base, as this could cause the cord to fray and break. Store in a clean, dry place.

IMMERSION BLENDER PROCESSING GUIDE
WARNING: This Immersion Blender is not designed to operate continuously for more than 1 minute. Allow
the motor to rest for 1 minute before resuming. When processing dry, thick or heavy mixtures, never mix for
more than 15 sec. Stop processing ingredients and stir by hand before continuing.
FREEZE MEATS PARTIALLY BEFORE PROCESSING to ensure chopped but not pulverized results.

RECIPES
ROASTED BUTTERNUT SQUASH SOUP
2 Tbs. olive oil
2 Tbs. seasoned salt
2 Tbs. dry Italian seasoning
2 cups butternut squash, chopped into
1-in.chunks
1 cup carrots, (2-3) cut into chunks
1 poblano pepper
1/2 tsp ground allspice
1 cup almond milk
1/2 cup water
2 tsp organic maple syrup
roasted squash seeds, for serving
maple syrup, for serving
Roast vegetables. Add butternut squash, carrots and poblano pepper to a large zipper bag.
Add oil, salt and Italian seasoning to the bag. Close bag, mix and massage seasoned oil onto
all veggies.
Empty veggies onto a large roasting pan. Roast at 400˚F for 20 minutes. Turning vegetables, continue
toroast for 15 to 20 minutes or until squash and carrots are tender and caramelized.
Prepare soup. Place roasted vegetables and the remaining ingredients into a medium soup pot.
Heatonmedium high until warm. Turn the heat OFF.
Lock the blender shaft to the motor body. Insert the blender into bottom center of pot.
Press and quickly release the HIGH speed (||) button to PULSE several times to begin.
Press and hold the HIGH speed (||) button. Blend ingredients with a gentle lift and lower motion
untilthesoup is pureed. If a thinner consistency is desired add water, 1/4 cup at a time.
Serve soup with salted, roasted squash seeds and a drizzle of maple syrup.

ROASTED GARLIC AIOLI
1/2 tsp. sea salt
1/3 cup Mayonnaise
2 Tbs. freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 Tbs. grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tps. Dijon mustard
cayenne pepper, pinch
1/2 tps. Worcestershire sauce
chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Roast garlic. Discard garlic head, then chop garlic cloves. Peel away excess skins. Center garlic
ona4-inch square piece of aluminum foil. Drizzle cloves lightly with olive oil andseason with salt
andpepper. Wrap garlic into a tight package. Roast at 380ºF for 35 to 40 minutes. Remove from oven
andwhen cool enough to handle, squeeze the roasted garlic out of the skins into amixing bowl.
Prepare ailoi. Add the remaining ingredients to the mixing bowl.
Lock the blender shaft to shaft to the motor body. Insert blender into bottom center of mixing bowl.
Pressand hold the HIGH speed (||) button and blend ingredients until the mixture hasemulsified
andtheaioli is creamy smooth.
Smear the aioli over toasted bread for steak, pork or chicken sandwiches. The creamy base makes
aperfect condiment for dipping vegetables, steamed artichokes, cold shrimp or poached salmon.
