Description:
The WIR 952 System reduces background noise and overcomes distance by delivering audio directly from the
sound source to the listeners ears.With adjustable volume control users can listen to the audio program at their
own comfort level.The user can select between 95 kHz, stereo or 250 kHz operation.

TX295Transmitter
The transmitter shall be encased in a grey, ABS plastic, compact in design for easy mounting on top of a TV, VCR
or audio equipment.The transmitter shall have 8 infrared LEDs that can transmit a signal up to 30 ft (line-of-sight) at
6 dB of intensity.There shall be a three-position slide switch for selecting 95 kHz, stereo or 250 kHz operation.Two RCA
jacks shall be available for mono or stereo line-level input at 200 mV to 10 V. A 3.5 mm jack shall be available for
microphone input at 1.5 kΩ. A television microphone shall be included to directly pick up the audio of the sound source
where there are no available jacks.The transmitter shall have a spare battery port for the RX295’s BAT AP97A on both
sides of the transmitter.
The transmitter shall serve as a charger for a single RX295 receiver plus two additional BAT AP97A batteries.**The
transmitter shall automatically turn off after 1.5 minutes of no audio.The transmitter shall be covered by a five-year
parts and labor warranty.*The transmitter shall be theWilliams Sound Corp. modelWIRTX295.
RX295 Receiver
The receiver shall be a stetho type with an IR detector lens on the face of the unit.The receiver shall be compatible with
wideband 95 kHz and 250 kHz transmitters.The receiver shall have a rotary-type volume control and the power switch
shall be built into the “arms,” so that the unit will automatically shut off when not in use. There shall be a three-
position slide switch for selecting 95 kHz, stereo or 250 kHz operation.The receiver shall have left and right tone and
balance controls adjustable by screwdriver.The receiver shall operate for 6 hours per charge with 1 BAT AP97A NiMH
battery.The receiver shall be housed in a grey and black ABS plastic case.The receiver shall provide 112 dB SSPL90
output.The system frequency response shall be 200 Hz to 8 kHz, and the signal-to-noise ratio shall be 60 dB at 10 m.
The receiver shall be covered by a five-year parts and labor warranty, 90 days on the battery.The receiver shall be the
Williams Sound Corp. modelWIR RX295.
*90 days on battery, power supply and cords.
**Only one additional battery is supplied with theWIR 952 system.
