INSTALLATION
PLACING YOUR WIREPATH STRUCTURED WIRE MODULE
Wirepath structured wiring modules are designed to t Wirepath structured wiring enclosures, but also t
most major brands of enclosures as well. Installation is simple with our familiar expansion pins. Plan the
placement of each model in the enclosure based on how you have wire entering the enclosure and what
will allow for the cleanest routing of wires.
If the Wirepath module is being used in an enclosure of another brand, it may be necessary to use one
of the included spare mounting pins in the extra mounting ange hole and remove the two pins on that
side to t the mounting pattern of other enclosures from another brand.
VIDEO CABLE WIRING
Use standard F connectors for terminating the wire.
TELEPHONE WIRING
A standard 110 punch down tool is all that is required to properly connect the wiring to the module.
Please see illustration.
RJ-31X WIRING
If it is necessary to interface the telephone wiring with a security system, simply use the provided jack.
Follow the illustration below if you need to make a cable for this use.
POWER SUPPLY
Do not route the power supply wire in a way that could cause it to be pinched or cut.
Proper Connection
Do not untwist pairs
more than 1/2”
The connector is a insulation
displacement system. Use a
high quality 110 punch down
tool to push the wire into the
contacts. Use of other tools such
as screwdrivers or pliers will
result in poor performance and
may damage the connectors.
