1 Precautions
Do not use a damaged power plug or loose outlet as
there is a danger of electric shock or re.
Do not pull the power line out as there is a danger of
electric shock or re.
Do not spray pesticides or chemicals on the product as
this may cause re or discoloration.
Do not clean the product with the power plugged in.
If you spray water directly or wipe the product with benzene
or thinner, there is a danger of electric shock, re or discoloration.
Do not place the product in a dusty place or in a place
with a lot of chemicals, as it may cause electric shock, re
and deterioration of product performance.
Do not disassemble, repair or modify the product.
There is a danger of electric shock, re or damage to the product.
Do not use near strong magnetic objects,
as this may cause malfunction.
Do not place the product in direct sunlight or
near a heating appliance, as there are risks of re,
explosion or discoloration.
Never touch any electrical appliance with wet hands.
Wet body can act as a good conductor of electricity.
In case of any leakage the person.

2 Other Precautions
Notes on Battery use:
Be sure to fully charge the battery after purchase.
The battery life varies depending on the usage period and usage, and
the usage time gradually decreases after purchase.
When the bettery is not to be used for a long time, keep it separate from
the product.
The battery warranty period is 6 months from the date of shipment.
Type of non-repairable:
Repair is not possible if the product and battery are disassembled arbitarily.
※This product is not capable of life-saving services because of
the possibility of radio interference.

※ When the charging LED turns blue, product is fully charged.
※ Before use the scanner, be sure to remove the protective lm on the lens.

1. Remove the tape on the back of the Quad-lock adaptor and
attach to the Phone.
2. Insert it into the Quad-lock mount on the top of the product.
5 Mounting phone & Connection
※Do not need to connect the USB cable if charging or data communication
does not required.
Please decide whether or not to connect according to the usage environment.
3. Turn the phone 45 degrees to x it as shown below.
4. Connect the USB Type-C cable to the phone.

6 Charging with USB cable
1. Connect the Sync cable to the connector.
2. Connect the USB part of the Sync cable to the charger.
3. Plug the charger into an outlet to start charging.

※ If the product sync with PC, charging does not proceed.
Be sure to use a USB type-C standard charger.(5V, 2A)
※Simultaneous charging of equipment connected to the product is not supported when charging
the product using a sync cable. If simultaneous charging needed, please use the cradle.
7 Charging with cradle
1. Plug the charging adapter into the charging cradle.
2. Plug the charging adapter into an outlet.
3. When the product is inserted into the cradle, charging proceeds.
※ Remove the Sync cable before charging.
(Sync cable is connected while charging may cause malfunction.)

8 Battery charging with cradle
1. Plug the charging adapter into the Cradle.
2. Plug the charging adapter into an outlet.
3. When the battery inserted into the cradle, paying attention to
the direction of battery insertion. (If charging is normal,
the LED on the front of the cradle lights up.)

9 How to change
1. Remove the battery by pressing down on both sides of the gun handle
and pulling down as shown in the following gure.
2. Replace the battery by inserting a new battery upward.

※ Pay attention to the insertion direction.

Press the 'Power button' for about 5 seconds to turn on the power.
(When the COM mode LED blinks after the buzzer sounds, the power is on.)
While the power is on, press the 'Power button' to turn o the power.
(When the COM mode LED turns o after the buzzer sounds, the power is o.)
※ Be sure to remove the sync cable before power o.
Pressing the 'COM mode button' switches the Bluetooth/USB communication mode
sequentially. (It takes 2-3 seconds to switch the mode.)
Each time the 'Mode button' is pressed, the RFID/Barcode/Key input mode
is switched sequentially.

15 Bluetooth mode setting
3. Each time the 'Mode button' is pressed, BLE/HID/SPP mode is switched
sequentially.
4. Press the 'Power button' until the buzzer sounds to complete the setting.
1. While pulling the trigger, press the 'Power button' to enter the setting mode.
2. Press the 'COM mode button' and set the communication mode LED to ash blue.
(If the communication mode LED is blue, it is Bluetooth mode.)

※ Please pay attention to the setting. If the mode setting is incorrect,
it may not be able to connect with phone.
iPhone - BLE mode Android, Windows - SPP mode or HID mode
(In the HID mode, user cannot control BUTTERFLY with an application.)

1. While pulling the trigger, press the 'Power button' to enter the setting mode.
2. Press the 'COM mode button' to set the COM mode LED to ash in red.
(COM mode LED is red, it is USB mode)
3. Each time the 'Mode button' is pressed, the VCP/HID mode is switched
sequentially.
4. Press the 'Power button' until the buzzer sounds to complete the setting.

16 USB mode setting

- Red LED On : HID mode
※If the USB data communication mode setting is incorrect,
the connection with the iPhone, Android, or Windows device
in use may not be possible.
iPhone - not supported Android, Windows - VCP mode or HID mode
(In HID mode, user cannot control BUTTERFLY with an application)

17 iPhone bluetooth connection
※ This app available from iOS version 10.2 or later.
※ When using an iPhone, it must be set to BLE mode.
For details, refer to "15 Bluetooth mode setting".
1. Activate bluetooth in iPhone settings.
2. Launch the WSMR Reader Demo app.

3. Tap 'New Device' to go to the Regist Device screen.
4. Wait for the connectable product to appear in the New Device item.
5. Select the product in the New Device category, the connection is completed
with a buzzer sound.

1. Tap ' ' to try to disconnect the bluetooth connection
2. Tap "OK" in the pop-up windows, the buzzer sounds and the color of ' '
changes to blue.

1. Press and hold ' ' until a pop-up window shows.
2. Tap "OK" on the pop-up window to remove the product.

1. Select "Inventory" from the top menu.
2. Tap "Start" or pull the Trigger of the product.

4. Check the list of recognized tags on the screen.
