Mounting instructions for Wolfman and Backroads Moto
Top rack
KTM 690
PART # RTR8
This kit contains the following:
Rack is designed to work with the stock tail light assembly if
you have a tail tidy you will need longer spacers
Tools required:
10mm End wrench
4mm Hex wrench
6mm Hex wrench
¾ Drill bit or step drill
Drill
Read and understand these instructions prior to installation
Be sure to tighten all bolts
Properly installed Top rack for KTM 690
1. Remove rear fender, turn over and drill out the four dimples in the under side to ¾
inch so that the four mounting holes are accessible.

2. Reinstall rear fender.
3. Place four 5/8x1” spacers in the holes. See FIG 1
4. Using 3 each 6mm x 20mm flat head bolts, 6mm (small) washers and 6mm nuts
attach top rack under mount bracket to bottom side of top rack (don’t tighten). See
FIG 2

WE RECOMMEND USING ANTI SIZE OR GREASE ON THE 8MM
SOCKET HEADED BOLTS THAT MOUNT INTO FUEL TANK
5. Using two each 8mm x 60mm socket head and 8mm washers, start back two
mounting bolts (don’t tighten). See FIG 3
6. Using two each 8mm x 60mm socket head and 8mm washers start front two
mounting bolts (don’t tighten). See FIG 4

7. With all bolt started, adjust under mount bracket so that it is aligned and tighten
three 6mm flat head bolts using 4mm hex wrench and 10mm end wrench.

8. Tighten remaining hardware.
