USE AND MAINTENANCE
DAILY USE AND MAINTENANCE
1. Check the grease/debris tray frequently throughout the day. Keep the drain clear and do not allow the tray
to overflow.
2.The cooking surface should be wiped periodically through the day using a damp towel.
CAUTION: COOK SURFACE IS VERY HOT. Use a spatula or other appropriate tool to move the towel around the
cook surface when cleaning. If needed, you may use a suitable scraper or abrasive pad to clean stubborn
residues from the cook surface. Scratches or other damage to the cook surface caused by improper use of
scrapers etc. are not covered by the WARRANTY.
3. Keep the external surfaces of the appliance clean and free of grease and dust build up. DO NOT use
excessive amounts of water to clean the appliance. A damp cloth and a mild detergent is sufficient. DO NOT
USE any type of scouring pad on the stainless steel exterior as this can scratch the surface. Be careful when
cleaning the front panel area.
4. Cooling fans. This appliance is equipped with two cooling fans, that pull air from the underside of the front
control box area. It is critical that this area be kept clear and cleaned regularly to prevent the cool air intake
from being blocked.
5. Cooling vents on sides, back and underneath of the appliance. The Plancha Grill is capable of extremely
high temperatures, much higher than a conventional electric grill. To ensure the reliability of the electrical
components cooling vents are provided on the appliance. These vents must not be blocked, and must be kept
clean.
6. Over-temp warning light. This appliance is equipped with a warning light on the front panel to warn of an
over temperature condition in the front control box. If at any time this light is illuminated, turn off all heating
zones and disconnect the appliance from the incoming power. Then check to make sure that none of the air
vents on the appliance are blocked,, especially the perforated air intakes for the cooling fans on the underside
of the appliance at the front. If any vents are blocked, correct the situation, and return the appliance
