Please be aware that the device may not always correctly detect all
pipes and lines.
The following conditions can cause imprecise results:
– Weak battery
– Thick walls with thin pipes or electrical lines
– Very thick walls
– Very deep-set electrical lines or pipes
– Walls covered with metal
– Very damp conditions
– Shielded cable
– Electrostatic charging
– Always test the device prior to use by detecting a known pipe/
a known electrical line.
– In case of doubt, always ask a qualified builder.

Inserting the battery
Open the battery comportment lid on the underside of the
device, pull the connector forward slightly and press the 9V
battery onto the connector with correct polarity. Close the
battery compartment lid.
Switching the device on and off
Press the button in order to switch the device on and off.
After 60 seconds without entry, the device will switch off automatically.
Detecting concealed objects
In order to avoid personal injury or material damage, the following must be
observed:

The device can be used to detect the following objects (materials):
– Wood/joists (STUD), maximum detection depth 19 mm
– Metal (METAL), maximum detection depth 30 mm
– Electric lines (AC), maximum detection depth 50mm
– With the DEEP setting, particularly deep-seated joists/wood and metal items can
be detected (max. detection depth 38 mm)

Calibrating the device to the object
Prior to each search procedure, a calibration of the device takes place.
Hold the device still, with its reverse side against the surface in which you are
searching for the searched object and keep the calibration button pressed down, until
a bar cannot be seen on the LC display. Press the calibration button (4) and keep the
button pressed down. After approx. 2 seconds, three short beeping tones will sound.
The calibration is completed and the search procedure can begin.
Note:
– During the calibration, the device must be held still and must not be moved.
– If you calibrate too closely to the object or directly on the wood, the calibration
can fail. If the calibration should fail, the LC display will show the following symbol
“”or a long beeping tone will sound. Then, please switch the device on again,
in order to start the calibration. This time, please hold the device several centime-
tres further right or left from the previous surface. The calibration button must be
kept pressed during the entire search procedure and the device must be touching
the surface.

Searching for/detecting the concealed object
Note:
The searching/detecting procedure is the same in all 4 modes
and is clarified on the basis of the illustrations. The found
object must be passed over twice with the device, in each
case. The passing over takes place in opposite directions.
After calibration, slide the device slowly and in a horizontal
direction along the wall (see illustration). Do not lift or tilt the
device.
a) Display only shows the mode = no object in the vicinity
When you are approaching the sought object, the first bars in the LC display will
fill. With a full bar diagram, please place a mark on the point (see illustration).
b) Increasing bars in display = the device is approaching the object

c) Full bar display with constant beeping tone = the device is at the start of the
object
Continue moving the device in the same direction, until no bars appear in the display
anymore. Then, move the device in the opposite direction, in order to mark the other
corner of the object. Position the mark where the diagram is completely filled. (see
illustrations)
Detecting concealed objects
The sought object is between both of the markings.
NOTE:
If you are searching for metal objects in “METAL”mode, it can be necessary to repeat
the search procedure at a 90° rotation. Metal bars running parallel to the device can
disrupt the sensor.

Detecting concealed objects
If a lightning symbol should be displayed, in addition to the “AC” mode and the bar
diagram, the found object is a live electric line.
If you know that the lines run in a specific location, but cannot find these with the
device in “AC” mode, use the“METAL” mode. Electric lines can be shielded with metal

clear detection of the individual objects.
The device also measures concealed posts, slats and metal in walls up to a depth of
38 mm in “DEEP” mode. Here, the existence of posts, slats and metal is identified.
However, it cannot be distinguished between wood and metal. The Multi-Sensor is
maintenance-free. Clean the device with a dry or slightly damp cloth.

Cleaning
Clean the Stud finder with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
Storage

Remove the batteries, if you do not use the Multi-Sensor over a longer period of time.
Disposal of device

Thank you for purchasing a top quality Workzone product. This Stud Finder was
tested and met our stringent quality standards. This product is warranted to be free
from manufacturer’s defects and workmanship for 2 years with dated proof
of purchase receipt.
The warranty is void if the defect is due to accidental damage, misuse, abuse,
neglect, improper repair or alteration by unauthorized persons or failure to follow
operation instructions provided with the product. This warranty does not apply
to commercial use.
The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchase and
does not extend to subsequent owners of the product. Liability under this warranty
is limited to replacement products or refund at EuroCentra’s discretion. In no event
shall liability exceed the purchase price paid by the purchaser of the product.
Under no circumstances shall there be liability for any loss, loss of profits, direct,

Inserción de la batería
Abra la tapa del comportamiento de la batería en la parte inferior
del dispositivo, tire del conector ligeramente hacia adelante y
presione la batería de 9 V contra el conector con la polaridad
correcta. Cierre la tapa del compartimento de la batería.
Encendido y apagado del dispositivo
Pulse el botón para encender y apagar al dispositivo. El dispositivo se apagará
automáticamente después de 60 segundos sin utilizarse.
Detección de objetos ocultos
Se deben cumplir las siguientes instrucciones a fin de evitar lesiones personales o
daños materiales:

El dispositivo se puede utilizar para detectar los siguientes objetos (materiales):
– La profundidad máxima de detección de madera/vigas (STUD) es de 19 mm
– La profundidad máxima de detección de objetos de metal (METAL) es de 30 mm
– La profundidad máxima de detección de las líneas eléctricas (AC) es de 50 mm
– Con la opción DEEP se pueden detectan vigas/madera y elementos de metal
particularmente profundos (profundidad máxima de detección de 38 mm)
Selección del modo
– Presione el botón MODO para seleccionar el modo deseado

Iniciar la búsqueda
Mantenga el botón de calibración presionado hasta que haya terminado con la bús-
queda.
Calibración del dispositivo para el objeto
Mantenga el dispositivo inmóvil, con el reverso contra la superficie en la que está
buscando al objeto y mantenga el botón de calibración presionado hasta que no se
vea una barra en la pantalla LCD. Presione y mantenga presionado al botón de calibra-
ción (4). Después de aproximadamente 2 segundos se escucharán tres pitidos cortos.
La calibración ha finalizado y puede comenzar el procedimiento de búsqueda.
Nota:
– El dispositivo debe mantenerse quieto y no se debe mover durante la calibración.
– La calibración puede fallar si realiza la calibración demasiado cerca del objeto o
directamente sobre la madera. Si la calibración falla, la pantalla LCD mostrará el
siguiente símbolo “ ”o sonará un pitido largo. Entonces, apague y encienda el
dispositivo de nuevo con el fin de iniciar la calibración. Esta vez, sostenga el dispo-
sitivo varios centímetros a la derecha o a la izquierda del punto anterior. El botón
de calibración debe mantenerse presionado durante todo el procedimiento de
búsqueda y el dispositivo debe estar en contacto con la superficie.

Buscar/detectar el objeto oculto
Nota:
El procedimiento de búsqueda/detección es igual en los 4
modos y se clarifica en las ilustraciones. Se debe pasar dos
veces con el dispositivo sobre el objeto encontrado en cada
caso. Los pases se realizan en direcciones opuestas.
Después de la calibración, deslice el dispositivo lentamente
y en dirección horizontal a lo largo de la pared (ver la
ilustración). No levante o incline al dispositivo.
a) La pantalla muestra solamente el modo =
ningún objeto en las cercanías. Cuando se esté acercando al objeto buscado se
llenarán las primeras barras en la pantalla LCD. Cuando tenga el diagrama de
barras completo coloque una marca en el punto (ver la ilustración).
b) El aumento de las barras en pantalla = el dispositivo se está acercando al objeto

Continúe moviendo el dispositivo en la misma dirección hasta que no aparezcan más
barras en la pantalla. A continuación, mueva el dispositivo en la dirección opuesta con
el fin de marcar la otra esquina del objeto. Coloque la marca cuando el diagrama esté
completamente lleno. (ver las ilustraciones)
Detección de objetos ocultos
El objeto buscado se encuentra entre las dos marcas.
NOTA:
Si está buscando objetos de metal en el modo“METAL“, puede ser necesario repetir el
procedimiento de búsqueda con una rotación de 90°. Las barras de metal paralelas
al dispositivo pueden afectar al sensor.

Detección de objetos ocultos
Si además del modo de“AC“ y el diagrama de barras se muestra el símbolo del rayo,
el objeto encontrado es una línea eléctrica viva.
Si usted sabe que las líneas se hallan en una ubicación específica, pero no las
puede encontrar con el dispositivo en modo“AC“, utilice el modo“METAL“. Las líneas
eléctricas pueden estar protegidas con revestimientos metálicos. Las vigas y líneas
eléctricas vivas que corren cercanas entre sí pueden impedir la detección clara de
los objetos individuales.
El dispositivo también mide los postes, listones y objetos de metal ocultos en las
paredes hasta una profundidad de 38 mm en el modo“DEEP“. Aquí se identifica la
existencia de postes, listones y objetos de metal. Sin embargo, no se puede distinguir
entre la madera y el metal. El sensor múltiple no necesita mantenimiento. Limpie el
aparato con un paño seco o ligeramente humedecido.
