Introduction
Thank you for purchasing this Devine CABT100 cable tester. The Devine CABT100 can be
used to test most pro audio, video and data cables. By testing the connector pins on both
sides of the cable and seeing if there is a connection, you can be sure that your cable is
either in orking order or defective.
The CABT100 is equipped ith the most common connections. These include 3-pin XLR,
USB, Speakon and RCA. Any connector not available directly on the unit can still be tested,
by making special adapter leads.
The Devine CABT100 operates on t o 1.5V AA batteries, hich are not included in delivery.

Battery precautions and warnings
The DI-50 DI box orks on standard AA batteries. Due to the hazardous substances of a
battery, precautions must be met in order to use this battery and the product in hich it is
installed to, safely.
CAUTION
Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced.
Replace only ith the same or equivalent type of battery.
Do not expose batteries to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire and the like.
Do not leave batteries in an extremely high-temperature environment, as this may cause
explosions or leakage of flammable liquids or gas.
Do not burn batteries, do not place batteries in a hot oven, and do not crush or cut batteries,
as this may cause explosions.
Do not subject batteries to extremely lo air pressure (high altitudes), as this may cause
explosions or leakage of flammable liquids or gas.
When equipment is not used for an extended period of time (e.g. a fe months), batteries
should be removed.
Instantly remove empty batteries from the equipment.
Do not store loose batteries or carry them in your pocket or purse. Contact ith metal
objects like coins and keys, etc. may cause them to leak, rupture or short-circuit.
Keep batteries out of reach of children.
Recycling:
Do not dispose of batteries in general household aste. Batteries can contain substances
that may harm the environment. If they are properly recycled, used batteries are a valuable
source of reusable materials. Contact your local government for information on battery
disposal.

Important: Please note that this cable tester is only suitable to test both connection ends of
a cable, to ensure there is a connection running.
If you ish to test cables, please ensure that both ends of the cable are removed from their
source. Do not leave cables connected, as these could for example be connected to an
active amplifier output connector.
Ignoring these instructions could lead to permanent damage to this device, as ell as your
audio install.

- This device is designed for fixed use. During transport, it should be ell-protected,
preferably in the original packaging or other ise in a suitable case ith foam interior.
- This device is not designed for permanent (24/7) use. The expected lifespan of the device
ill not be affected by occasionally turning the device off. Disconnect the device or turn off
the po er hen it is not actively in use.
- If the device ill not be used for a longer period of time, it should be disconnected and
stored in a dust-free environment.
- Do not expose the device to extreme temperature differences.
Housing
- Inspect the device's housing frequently, and al ays just before use. Avoid operating the
device if there are large dents or cracks, or if scre s are missing. Do not use the device if
the housing is not in good condition.
Contact your dealer or a qualified technician if you are unsure about the state of the device.
- Check the device and the scre s for corrosion. Corrosion must not be present on this
device. Contact your dealer or a qualified technician if you find any corrosion on the scre s.
Every po er and signal connector should be securely mounted. Do not use the device if the
connectors are not secure.
Avoid dust and dirt build-up. Clean the device once a month by disconnecting it from the
po er supply and iping it do n ith a dry or slightly moist cloth. If the device is used
frequently, the cleaning intervals should increase.
