Using the ACB1 CommBack
1.Turning the CommBack On and
Off
STEP 1 – Press and hold the power button
STEP 1 – until the indicator LEDs flashing,
STEP 1 – then again hold the Power
STEP 1 – Button to turn on the ACB1
STEP 1 –
The Battery Level Indicator (LED 1) displays the battery level of the
CommBack when it is powered ON. See the table below for details
on these indicators:
STEP 2 – CommBack
STEP 2 – Within 60 seconds, the Indicator LED 3 will flash slowly
STEP 1 – indicating the device communication module is starting
STEP 3 – Repeat Step 1 to turn off the CommBack
2. Checking battery level
Press the power button once to check the current battery level.
When ACB1 CommBack is OFF, the indicator LEDS displays the
battery level of the CommBack. See the below for details on these
indicators.

3.Charging the CommBack
ACB1 CommBack can be charged by standard USB Adapter with
a USB to Type-C Cable. During charging, the Battery level LED
indicates the status of the Charging. See the table below for details
on these indicators.
4.Firmware Update
4.1.Method 1 – Update via APP
STEP 1 – Open the Official XAG XPLANET APP
STEP 2 – Select ACB1 CommBack
STEP 3 – Check for Updates
STEP 4 – Select the corresponding firmware to be update, and Press
STEP 4 – “Start Update”
STEP 5 – The downloading process will begin
STEP 6 – Once the download had been completed and data had
STEP 6 – been transferred, please turn off the Device following the
STEP 6 – on-screen instructions
STEP 7 – Press the Power Button once, the device will enter update
STEP 7 – mode and the indicator LEDS will flash RED
STEP 8 – The indicator LEDS will stop flashing once the update is
STEP 6 – completed
Repeat this process if the firmware update are unsuccessful
4.2.Method 2 – Update via PC
STEP 1 – Turn ON the ACB1 CommBack
STEP 2 – Press and HOLD the Control Keypad (Center) and Power
STEP 2 – button until the indicator LEDS turns SOLID RED
STEP 3 – Connect the ACB1 CommBack with an USB to Type-C Cable
STEP 3 – to the PC
STEP 4 – Transfer the ACB1.fw File onto the ACB1 CommBack
STEP 5 – Safely Eject the CommBack, Press and HOLD the Control

STEP 6 – Keypad (Center) and Power button until the indicator LEDS
STEP 6 – turns OFF
STEP 6 – Power the Power Button once, the device will enter update
STEP 6 – mode and the indicator LEDS will flash RED
STEP 7 – The indicator LEDS will stop flashing once the update is
completed
Repeat this process if the firmware update are unsuccessful
5.Device connection
STEP 1 – Connect the ACB1 CommBack with an Type-C USB Cable to
STEP 1 – the Smart Phone
STEP 2 – Start XPLANET APP and ensure the device is connected
STEP 2 – successfully (the icon turns green)
STEP 3 – Click on the icon to check for Hotspot Details
Default name: XAG123
Default Password: 20070401
Hotspot Details on ACB1 CommBack can be edited
STEP 4 – Edit the Hotspot detail to be consistent with your Smart
STEP 4 – Phone, and enable Hotspot
STEP 5 – Disconnect the USB Cable connecting your Smart Phone
STEP 4 – and ACB1 CommBack, and waits for the device connection
STEP 4 – via WiFi. Once it is connected, the WIFI connection icon on
STEP 4 – “XPLANET” APP to light up ( turns green)
6.Pairing the Aircraft
STEP 1 – When your Smart phone is wirelessly connected via
STEP 1 – Hotspot, access XPLANET or XGEOMATICS APP
STEP 2 – Select Device, and click on “Pair”
STEP 3 – Follow the on-screen instruction and Power on the UAV,
STEP 3 – and select the corresponding device to be paired

STEP 4 – If the pairing process is successful, an notification will
STEP 4 – appear “Pairing successful”, and the device will be
STEP 4 – displayed on the device interface
STEP 5 – Repeat this process if the firmware update are
STEP 4 – unsuccessful
STEP 5 – Confirm the UAV is functioning normally by selecting
STEP 5 – the UAV and Select “USE” in deployment of UAS, if it is
STEP 5 – displaying “IN USE”, the UAV is functioning normally
Note: Please be noted that pairing the aircraft requires sufficient
Operator Level
Follow the on-screen instruction and Power on the UAV, and select
the corresponding device to be paired.
7.Aircraft Operation by Control Keypad
Operators can remotely control the flight of the UAV by the Control
Keypads during the Flight Operation, Hovering or Return to Home.
When the UAV are operating the UAV by the CommBack, the Flight
Status LEDs (LED 4) will turn Green.
Directional key (1-2, 4-5) will command the UAV to move in the
direction based on the nose of the UAV at
a speed of 2m/s.
Emergency Key (3) Short Press the Emergency key will
command the UAV to Hover Long Press
(>2s) the Emergency key will command
the UAV to land immediately
