Thank you for purchasing this Xaoc De-
vices product.
Bytom is a simple yet very useful utility
module that allows the user to combine
various trigger/gate signal sources to
obtain interesting rhythmic events.
Use Bytom for sequencing, modulation
and patch automation purposes.
insTallaTiOn
The module requires 6hp worth of free
space in the Eurorack cabinet. Always
turn the power off before plugging the
module into the bus board using the
supplied ribbon cable! The ribbon-type
power cable must be plugged into the
bus board, paying close attention to
polarity orientation. The red stripe indi-
cates the negative –12v rail and should
point in the same direction on both the
bus board and the unit. The module it-
self is secured against reversed power
connection, however, reversing the 16-
pin header may cause serious dam-
age to other components of your system
because it will short-circuit the +12V
and +5V power rails. The module should
be fastened by mounting the supplied
screws before powering up. To better
understand the device, we strongly ad-
vise the user to read through the entire
manual before using the module.
MOdule OVerVieW
Bytom is a triple gate and trigger signal
combiner (OR gate). It consists of three
independent sections a, b and c. Each
one can process up to four signals fed
to input sockets 1. The corresponding
LED 2lights up every time the status
of the gate/trigger at the output 3is
high.
All three sections can be normalled into
one 12-signal combination via the man-
ual switches 4. The upper aand lower
csections can be individually combined
with the middle bsection as well—
creating a combination of up to eight
signals. The summed signals of two or
three sections appear at the middle b
section’s output socket 5.
The individual outputs on upper and
lower units remain active even when
combined with the middle section. Last
but not least, Bytom can also be used for
summing positive control voltages. •

THE DEVICE INTENDED FOR REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT UNDER WARRANTY NEEDS TO BE SHIPPED IN
THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING ONLY, SO PLEASE KEEP IT JUST IN CASE. ALSO, A FILLED RMA FORM MUST
