Mounting the headlamp
The universal handlebar bracket is designed to fit
virtually any handlebar.
• To t the handlebar bracket, position the
bracket as required with the light mount facing
upward and the screw facing forward.
• Thread the serrated strap through the base
slot of the screw and turn the screw clockwise
to advance the strap until tight.
• To remove the bracket, turn the screw anti-
clockwise until the serrated strap can be pulled
gently from the slot and the unit removed from
the handlebar.
Inserting the light into the bracket
The Spiker light is easily inserted into and removed
from the handlebar bracket for safe storage.
• To insert the light, depress the small lever at
the rear of the runners while sliding the light
fully onto the mount.
• To remove the light, depress the lever and slide
the light backward from the mount.
Rotating the light
The Spiker light can be rotated 360 degrees.
• To swivel the light, mount the light on the
handlebar bracket as outlined previously and
turn clockwise through 360° as required.
• Do not rotate beyond one complete revolution.
Mounting the battery pack
The Spiker light connects to a discreet, removable
rechargeable battery pack during operation.
• To insert the battery into the strap, thread the
connector cable through the base slot and out
the small hole at the front of the holder.

Thank you for purchasing the Xeccon Spiker 1206 Bicycle Light. To get the most
from your Spiker light, please refer to the instructions that follow.
Xeccon Spiker 1206 Bicycle Light

• Slip the casing over the battery until it is
contained within the holder.
• Position the base of the battery holder on the
bike frame as required. Ensure cables remain
clear of chain, cogs, wheels and pedals.
• Circle the pack strap under the frame and
through the pack buckle.
• Return the strap under the frame, pulling it tight
and secure the pack with the Velcro strips.
• To remove the pack, undo the Velcro fastening
and unbuckle the pack. Ensure the battery is
no longer connected to the light.
Connecting the battery to the light
The Spiker light easily connects to the battery
pack for convenient recharging.
• To connect the light, plug the light cable into
the battery pack cable.
• If the light cable cannot reach to the battery
pack, use the extension cord to extend the
length of the cable.
Charging the battery
The Spiker light will operate for approximately
four hours on a single, full charge.
• To recharge the battery, remove the pack from
the bike frame and plug the pack cable into
the AC adaptor.
• Plug the AC adaptor into a household electrical
socket.
• The status light on the rear of the adaptor
will glow yellow if the battery requires further
charging and green when the battery is fully
charged and can be reconnected to the bike
frame and light.
Operating the light
The Spiker light operates in four modes, high,
low, light sense and strobe.
• When plugged into the battery pack, the power
light on top of the light will glow green to
indicate there is between one and four hours
of power remaining.
• If the power light glows red, there is less
than one hour of power remaining before the
battery must be recharged.
• For high mode press the power button once.
• For low mode, press the power button twice.
• For strobe mode, press the power button four
times.
• For light sense mode, press the white button
three times. The light will adjust automatically
in response to light sensitivity as outlined
below:
50-41 lux 20 per cent brightness
40-31 lux 40 per cent brightness
30-21 lux 60 per cent brightness
20-11 lux 80 per cent brightness
0-10 lux 100 per cent brightness
• To turn off the light, press the power button no
more than four times until no light is visible.
Maintaining your Spiker light
If handled correctly, the Xeccon Spiker 1206
Bicycle Light will provide you with many years
of use.
• To maximise battery life, disconnect the light
from the battery pack when not in use. Ensure
cables do not interfere with moving parts of
the bicycle.
• Do not leave the battery pack and battery
charger plugged in to electrical sockets for
excessive periods once fully charged.
• Wipe the light and bracket with a damp cloth
if cleaning is required. (Ensure the light is not
connected to the battery pack.)
• The light and battery are water resistant,
however submerging the light or battery in
water will cause irreparable damage.
• When inserting and removing the light from
the handlebar bracket, ensure the lever is fully
depressed.

While the Xeccon Spiker 1206 Bicycle Light
is designed to improve visibility and safety
during night time riding, be aware that cycling,
particularly at night, is a high risk activity.
Always wear a helmet and reflective clothing and
obey the rules of the road when cycling.
