EnvelopescanbeprintedonlyfromTray5(BypassTray),orfromTray1iftheoptionalenvelopetrayisinstalled.
Guidelines
Successfulenvelopeprintingishighlydependentonthequalityandconstructionoftheenvelopes.Some
wrinklingorembossingmayoccurwhenprintingonenvelopes.Onlyusepaperenvelopesspecifiedinthe
machine.
Printqualitydependsonthequalityandconstructionoftheenvelopes.Tryanotherenvelopebrandifyoudo
notachievetherequiredresults.
Maintainconstanttemperaturesandrelativehumidity.
Storeunusedenvelopesintheirpackagingtoavoidtheeffectsofmoistureanddrynesswhichcanaffectprint
qualityandcausewrinkling.Excessivemoisturecancausetheenvelopestosealbeforeorduringprinting.
Avoidpaddedenvelopes;purchaseenvelopesthatlieflatonasurface.
Avoidenvelopeswithheatactivatedglue.
Avoidenvelopeswithpressandsealflaps.
Removeairbubblesfromtheenvelopesbeforeloadingthemintothetraybysettingaheavybookontopof
them.
Intheprintdriver,select[Envelope]asthepapertype.
CAUTION:Neveruseenvelopeswithwindowsormetalclasps;theycandamagetheprinter.Damage
causedbyusingunsupportedenvelopesisnotcoveredundertheXeroxwarranty,serviceagreement,or
TotalSatisfactionGuarantee.
1.OpenTray5andremoveanypaperthatisadifferentsizeortype.



2.Movethewidthguidestotheedgesofthetray.


3.Loadtheenvelopesfacedownwiththeflapsclosed:

Loadenvelopesupto297mm(11.7in.)longedgefeed,withtheflapsleadingintotheprinter.

LoadC4andcustomsizeenvelopeslongerthan297mm(11.7in.)shortedgefeed,withtheflapsleading

intotheprinterortowardtheback,anddefineacustomsizeattheControlPanel.

4.Adjustthewidthguidestofittheenvelopes.



5.Dooneofthefollowing:

Toconfirmthepapersize,type,andcolorwhenatrayissettoFullyAdjustable,select[Confirm].Toselect

anewpapersize,select[Size].Toselectanewpapertype,select[Type].Toselectanewpapercolor,

select[Color].Whenfinished,select[Confirm].

Tochangethepapersize,type,orcolorwhenthetrayissettoDedicatedmode:

a.LoginastheSystemAdministrator.SeetheRelatedContentforadditionalinformation.

b.Pressthe[MachineStatus]buttonontheControlPanelandthenselectthe[Tools]tabontheTouch

Screen.

c.Select[DeviceSettings]andthen[PaperManagement].

d.Select[TraySettings]andthenselectadedicatedtray.

e.Tomodifythetraysettings,select[Edit].

f.Select[Size],[Type],or[Color]tochangethepapersize,papertype,orpapercolor.

g.Select[OK].
