Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Der Melder wurde für die Bewegungserkennung durch Passiv-
Infrarottechnik (PIR) in Verbindung mit einer Präzisions-Spiegeloptik
für den Einsatz in Außenbereichen entwickelt. Das Gerät erkennt
die Temperaturdifferenz von bewegten Objekten bezogen auf
einen festgelegten Hintergrundbereich. Durch die intelligente
Signalverarbeitung und Signalanalyse werden die Alarmschwellen,
abhängig von den Umgebungsbedingungen, Temperaturschwankungen
und Störsignalen, automatisch nachgeführt. Der Melder hat einen
Erfassungsbereich von 200 m (656 ft) Länge und 5.1 m (17 ft) Breite.
Dieser Melder verfügt über eine Vorhangoptik und überwacht einen sehr
langen und schmalen Detektionsbereich.

Das Gerät darf nicht in Ex-Bereichen und Bereichen mit
potentiell explosiver Atmosphäre eingesetzt werden.
Für diesen Einsatzzweck sind spezielle eigensichere
Gerätetypen verfügbar (IS Produktvarianten).
Um eine optimale Funktion zu gewährleisten, sollte der
Erfassungsbereich durch einen natürlichen Hintergrund,
z.B. einer Wandäche abgeschlossen werden. Stellen
Sie sicher, dass sich keine beweglichen Objekte, wie
z.B. Äste, Sträucher, Zäune oder auch Wasserbehälter
innerhalb des Erfassungsbereiches benden.

Intended Use
The device is designed for outdoor movement detection using
passive-infrared technology (PIR) and high-precision mirror optics.
The device senses temperature differences between moving objects
and a stationary background. The detector adapts the threshold level
depending on external inuences such as environmental effects,
temperature changes and rejects interference signals by means of
microprocessor-controlled signal processing and signal-shape analysis.
The detector covers a length of 200 m (656 ft) and a width of 5.1 m (17
ft). This detector has a curtain mirror optics and monitors a superior long
range.

The device must not be used in potentially explosive
areas, or areas where work with hazardous substances
is being carried out. Intrinsically safe models are
available (IS family of products).
For an optimal function of the detector limit the detection
range to a natural or articial background (e.g. a wall).
Ensure that no moving objects (e.g. branches, bushes,
fences) or body of water are within the detection zone.
