GENERAL SAFETY WARNINGS
Read all safety warnings and instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may
result in electric shock, re and/or serious injury. Save all warnings and instructions for future

SAFETY
The warnings, precautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction manual cannot cover all possible
conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by the operator that common sense and
caution are factors which cannot be built into this product, but must be supplied by the operator. Read
carefully and understand all ASSEMBLY AND OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS before operating. Failure
to follow the safety rules and other basic safety precautions may result in serious personal injury.
DO NOT use electric tools when tired or affected by drugs and/or alcohol.
Proper use of personal protective equipment, ALWAYS wear safety glasses, protective devices including
dust masks, skid-proof safety shoes and thermal protective devices.

Keep your balance when using this machine.
DO NOT overuse electric tools. Be sure to choose the right tool for the job.
DO NOT use any tools where the switch does not work. Have it repaired by a qualied technician before
attempting to use the machine.
To reduce the risk of injury, close supervision is necessary when an appliance is used near children.
DO NOT contact moving parts.
Only use attachments recommended or sold by the manufacturer.
DO NOT use outdoors
To disconnect, turn all controls to the off (″O″) position, then remove plug from outlet.
DO NOT operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or
is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for
examination, repair, or electrical or mechanical adjustment.
To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not put motor or cord in water or other liquid. Do not place or
store appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
Connect to a properly grounded outlet only.
Risk of Electric Shock. Keep extension cord connection dry and off the ground.
DO NOT wear cloth gloves or loose clothing, or use a rag to grasp the cable to prevent entanglement.
To prevent cable from whipping, place Drain Cleaner as close to drain line as possible (within 2 feet)
or thread cable through guide (not included).
Wear ANSI-approved splash-resistant safety goggles under face shield, NIOSH-approved dust mask/
respirator, and heavy-duty LEATHER gloves during use.

DO NOT use in pipe containing drain cleaning chemicals.
DO NOT use in pipe obstructed by roots.
DO NOT operate the Drain Cleaner with the belt guard removed. Fingers can get caught between the
drive belt and pulley.
To prevent Cable from whipping, place Drain Cleaner within 2 feet of drain line or thread Cable through
guide (not included). Greater distances can result in the Cable twisting or kinking.
Keep gloved hand on the Cable whenever the Drain Cleaner is running.
Keep hands away from the rotating Drum and Distributor Tube. Do not reach into Drum unless the Drain
Clean power cord is unplugged.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment while handling and using Drain Cleaner. Drains may
contain chemicals, bacteria and other substances that may be toxic, infectious, cause burns or other
issues. Appropriate personal protective equipment always includes ANSI-approved safety glasses and
heavy-duty LEATHER work gloves, and may include equipment such as latex or rubber gloves, face
shields, goggles, protective clothing, respirators and steel toed footwear.
Wash hands after use. Use hot, soapy water to wash hands and other exposed body parts exposed to
drain contents after handling or using Drain Cleaner. Do not eat or smoke while operating or handling
Drain Cleaner. This will help prevent contamination with toxic or infectious material.
Prevent unintentional starting. Turn switch to the off-position before plugging in.
Have your Drain Cleaner serviced by a qualied repair person using only identical replacement parts.
This will ensure that the safety of the Drain Cleaner is maintained.
Maintain labels and nameplates on the Drain Cleaner These carry important safety information. If
unreadable or missing, contact XtremePower for a replacement.
Avoid unintentional starting. Prepare to begin work before turning on the Drain Cleaner.
DO NOT operate the Drain Cleaner if it is sitting in standing water, or if the operator is in standing water.
Locate on a at, level, and solid surface that is capable of supporting the weight of the Drain Cleaner.
DO NOT put too much stress on Cable. Quickly release tension if it starts to build in the cable. Excess
tension will cause the Cable to twist, kink, or break.
One person must control both the Cable and the Foot Switch. If the Cutting Tool stops rotating, the
operator must turn the Drain Cleaner motor off quickly.
Only use Drain Cleaner to clean drains of recommended sizes according to these instructions. Other
uses or modifying the Drain Cleaner for other applications may increase the risk of injury.
People with pacemakers should consult their physician(s) before use. Electromagnetic elds in close
proximity to heart pacemaker could cause pacemaker interference or pacemaker failure.
WARNING! Handling the cord on this product will expose you to lead, a chemical known to the State
of California to cause cancer, and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Wash hands after handling.

AUTOMATIC CABLE ENTRY INSTALLATION
1. Put the cable head in and pass through the guide pipe.
2. Lift the automatic entry/withdrawal control rod so that the
spherical spiral head of the cable can pass through.
3. Put down the automatic feeding / withdrawing control rod and
put the cable conduit on the machine conduit.
PRE-OPERATION INSPECTION
1. Conrm that the plug is pulled out of the unit and make sure
the cable is not damaged.
2. Refer to the manual to lubricate the automatic header and
cable and check the safety label.
3. Check and make sure there is sufcient light and no combustible
liquids gas or dust in the vicinity of the machine.
4. Make sure the power switch on the machine is at OFF.
5. Before plugging into the socket, conrm the dredger is close
enough to reach the area you will be draining. If the distance
cannot be achieved within 15cm, add the sleeve shown in Fig. D

NOTE: USE A STANDARD POWER CORD. When using this
machine outdoors, use an extended cable marked “W-A” or “W”.
These cables are suitable for outdoor use and can reduce the
occurrence of electrical shock and the insulating layer of wire
must be of sufcient thickness.

OPERATION
1. Pull out the cables and place them at least 30cm in the pipe so that
the head will not come out when the machine starts.
2. Make sure the switch/pedal on the machine can be controlled at the
same time and do not stand on the pedal switch.
3. Open the switch on the machine and do not step on the foot switch
at this time. Do not trigger the reverse mode as this could cause
damage to the cable.
4. Make sure the cables in the dredged pipe are at least 30cm long. The moving cable rod is at most 15cm
away from the pipe opening. Step on the foot switch and start the machine, press the automatic cable rod.
It will automatically move forward in the pipeline. This operation must be completed by one person.
REPLACING THE CABLES
1. Remove the conduit from the machine and lift the automatic entry rod so that the cables can exit from the
and extend the remaining cables into the machine with only one head outside.
2. Release the three screws on the drum and remove the cover of the drum and remove the whole drum from
the machine.
3. Turn the drum over and load the cable manually.
4. Take out the inner drum and insert the cable head into the inner
drum.
5. Turn the drum toward the ground and pull out all the cables from the
spherical rotating head.
6. Starting from the tail end of the new cable (it is xed on the inner drum)
7. Install the inner drum and the steel cable together into the outer drum. Align the
screw holes and replace them with new screws.
8. Turn the drum over and load the cable manually.
9. Replace with a new drum cover to align the screw eye, tighten.
10. Install the catheter.
