The warnings, precautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction manual cannot cover all
possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by the operator that common
sense and caution are factors which cannot be built into this product, but must be supplied by the
operator. Read carefully and understand all ASSEMBLY AND OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS before
operating. Failure to follow the safety rules and other basic safety precautions may result in serious
personal injury.

DO NOT allow persons to operate or assemble the product until they have read this manual and
have developed a thorough understanding of how it works.
DO NOT modify this product in any way. Unauthorized modication may impair the function and/or
safety and could affect the life of the product. There are specic applications for which the product
was designed.
Use the right Pump for the job. DO NOT attempt to force a small Pump or attachment to do the work
of a larger industrial Pump. There are certain applications for which this Pump was designed. DO NOT
modify this Pump and do not use this Pump for a purpose for which it was not intended.
Maintain Pump with care. Inspect tool cords periodically and, if damaged, have them repaired by an
authorized technician.
Inspect the work area before each use. Keep work area clean, dry, free of clutter, and well-lit.
Cluttered, wet, or dark work areas can result in injury.
DO NOT use the product where there is a risk of causing a re or an explosion; e.g., in the
presence of ammable liquids, gases, or dust. The product can create sparks, which may ignite the
ammable liquids, gases, or dust.
Guard against electric shock. Prevent body contact with grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators,
ranges, and refrigerator enclosures. It is strongly recommended that this Pump be plugged into a
Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI). Ask a local electrician for easy installation instructions. To
avoid electrical shock, no person or animal should be in contact with the water being pumped. Never
walk on wet or damp area when pump is running in the same room.
Keep children and bystanders away from the work area while operating the pump. DO NOT allow
children to handle the product.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
Stay alert, watch what you are doing, and use common sense when operating the tool. DO NOT use the
tool while you are tired or under the inuence of drugs, alcohol, or medication.
Dress properly. DO NOT wear loose clothing, dangling objects, or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing
and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery, or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
Use eye and ear protection. Always wear ANSI approved impact safety goggles. Wear an ANSI
approved dust mask or respirator when working around metal, wood, and chemical dusts and mists.
DO NOT overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times.

Avoid unintentional starting. Dry running of the Pump causes excess wear.
Check for damaged parts before each use. Carefully check that the product will operate properly and
perform its intended function. Replace damaged or worn parts immediately. Never operate the
product with a damaged part.
Circulation of caustic uids, as well as the circulation of abrasive materials, must be avoided at all
costs.
For your safety, maintenance should be performed regularly by a qualied technician.
DO NOT pump hazardous materials. DO NOT pump explosive or ammable materials such as Fuel
Oil, Kerosene, Gasoline etc. DO NOT pump in close proximity to ammable or explosive materials. DO
NOTpump fats, oils, salt or waste water. This Pump is designed to move clean or dirty water. DO NOT
pump hot liquid.
Water transfers in cycles. DO NOT attempt to manipulate the switch to keep Pump running continuously.
It is meant to shut off intermittently. Doing so will damage the Pump.
WARNING: People with pacemakers should consult their physician(s) before use. Electromagnetic
elds in close proximity to heart pacemaker could cause pacemaker interference or pacemaker
failure.
WARNING: Handling the cord on this product will expose you to lead, a chemical known to the
State of California to cause cancer, and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Wash hands
after handling. (California Health & Safety Code § 25249.5, et seq.)
NOTE: Performance of this Pump (if powered by line voltage) may vary depending on variations in local
line voltage. Extension cord usage may also affect Pump performance.

NOTE: Do not install the Pump by suspending it unsupported from its delivery pipe or power cord.
The Pump must be suspended from the handle or be placed on the bottom of the basin.
To ensure that the Pump works properly, keep the bottom free from sludge and dirt of all kinds.
NOTE: If the water level sinks too low, any sludge in the basin will dry out and stop the Pump from
starting. To help ensure the Pump will start as required, check the Pump regularly with start-up tests.
AREAS OF USE
1. This Pump is designed to pump water only.
2. This Pump is designed to be used for: • Removing ground water from basements and outdoor job
sites • Very high ow
3. This Pump should NOT be used for: • Continuous run, fountain/pond water features • Basement
sump applications • Septic or sewage systems • Potable water systems
4. This Pump can also be used to transfer water (e.g. household, farming, plumbing).

INSTALLATION
This Pump should be plugged into an outlet tted with a
Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI).
1. Make sure the Pump rests on a at, level, and solid
foundation.
2. Keep the pump inlet openings, near the suction base, clear
of debris.
4. Avoid installation in areas of extreme heat or cold.
OPERATION
WARNING: DO NOT let the pump run dry. It will increase wear to the unit and possible cause steel
damage.
1. Verify that the Pump rests on the oor of the basin, if it is not suspended by the handle.
2. Verify that the discharge pipe is properly connected.
3. Verify that the electrical socket is GFCI protected and in good condition. Test GFCI protected outlet
before use.
3. Attach one end of a discharge hose to the discharge port.
Place the other end as needed to direct the water discharge at
least 3 feet away from the source. Slope the discharge hose
downward, away from the source.
WARNING: Do not use an extension cord with this Pump.
Keep plug dry and secured away from water.
4. Verify that water and moisture cannot get near the power supply socket.
MAINTENANCE
PUMP MOTOR MAINTENANCE
1. Any repair or replacement of parts should be performed by a qualied service technician.
2. Inlets should be inspected periodically and any debris which clogs them should be removed (Before
performing inlet cleaning, disconnect the pump from the outlet).
3. Periodically clean the Lower Base, remove the Screws from the Base and remove any dirt or debris.
Replace the Lower Base.
NOTE: Many problems occur due a clogged Lower Base. Remove the Screws from the Lower Base and
remove the Lower Base. Clean out dirt or debris from the bottom of the Pump and replace Lower Base
using the same screws.

HE OR SHE IS QUALIFIED TO MAKE ANY REPAIRS TO THE PRODUCT, OR THAT HE OR SHE IS
QUALIFIED TO REPLACE ANY PARTS OF THE PRODUCT. IN FACT, THE MANUFACTURER AND/OR
DISTRIBUTOR EXPRESSLY STATES THAT ALL REPAIRS AND PARTS REPLACEMENTS SHOULD BE
UNDERTAKEN BY CERTIFIED AND LICENSED TECHNICIANS, AND NOT BY THE BUYER. THE BUYER
