The F115 delivers on Yamaha’s desire to make each
new generation of outboards lighter and more efficient.
The new F115 started with the venerable DOHC in-line,
four-cylinder 16-valve engine that set the standard for
reliability and durability, then added new technologies to
make a highly efficient package that’s ready to lead the
segment in the industry.
More Responsive | Induction features a new long-track
intake system with a single throttle valve and a resonator
to improve throttle response.
Improved Performance | Re-shaped combustion
chambers increase combustion efficiency, and an ECM
controlled electronic fuel injection system provides
more precise control of the combustion process — all for
improved performance and increased fuel efficiency.
Better Engine Protection | New knock sensor in the
ECM provides protection from knocking, improved
combustion efficiency, and helps assure maximum
performance and acceleration.
Improved Draining and Corrosion Resistance | A new
cowl design improves air intake, better restricts water
intrusion and drains more effectively for increased
corrosion resistance.
Lighter Weight | Adapting the latest ancillary designs
and new materials means the entire unit weighs less
than before, which translates to better efficiency.
Latest Technology | The redesigned F115 is now
compatible with Command Link®Gauges and the
Y-COP™immobilizer system.
