Nowmovethecursorsothat its tip is justbelowtherightmost digitoftheTEMPO indicator.Thistime,
holddownthe rightbuttonwhilemovingthemouse tothe leftandright.As youmove totherightthe
valueoftheselected digit willincrease,andasyoumovetotheleft itwilldecrease.Trythesameoperation
withtheotherdigitsintheTEMPO indicator,thenthedigitsintheTIMESIGNATUREindicator.The right
button isthusprimarilyused tosetnumericalvalues.
Thereareafewexceptionstothispattern,andthesewillbenotedaswelook atthespecificfunctions
towhichtheyapply.
UsingtheComputerKeyboard
Mouse-EquivalentKeys
AlthoughtheMouse isgenerallyrecommended foroperation oftheMIDIRecorder, allfunctionscan
becarriedoutdirectlyfromthecomputerkeyboard.Therearealso averyfewfunctions forwhich
keyboardentryistheeasiestandmostappropriatemethod.
Whenusingthekeyboard,thecursorkeys(theright, left,upanddownarrowkeys)areusedtoposition
theredcursorarrowonthescreen.TheSELEZT1keyintheblock ofkeysabovethecursorkeys is
equivalenttothe leftmousebutton.To testthis.usethecursorkeys tomovethearrow totheAUTO
RECORDmodesector (atleastpartofthearrow mostlogicallythepoint mustbeinsidetheAUTO
RECORDsector).Nowpressthe ISELECTIkey.TheAUTORECORDsectorshouldhaveturnedblue,
indicatingthat it isselected,andablockofparameterspertainingtotheAUTORECORDmodeshould
appearatthebottom ofthescreen.
