Yanzi IoT Gateway 2 / AP 2
The Yanzi IoT Gateway 2 is an Internet of Things gateway for commercial facility
and building installations. The solution is cost efficient for small to medium
installations. Yanzi IoT Gateway 2 has a built-in radio to allow for communication
with sensors directly. It can also be combined with multiple Yanzi IoT Access Point 2
to support larger areas scaling to hundreds of IP-based sensors. It enables a very
fast installation and roll-out of a secure all-IP sensor network in smart buildings,
securely providing data in the Yanzi cloud API called Cirrus. The gateway and access
points delivers an all-IP connectivity for smart building.
Yanzi IoT Gateway 2 enables the communication between the Smart Building and
the cloud and ensures autonomous operations even if Internet connection is down -
including local storage of sensor data. Thanks to the built-in battery back-up, the
gateway can operate for hours during a potential power failure. Low-power radio
support high density sensor networks.
Yanzi IoT Gateway 2 communicates periodically with all Yanzi sensors (directly or
via Yanzi IoT Access Point 2) to confirm their status and presence over a secure
encrypted connection.
Yanzi IoT Gateway 2 connects to the Internet using built-in 4G***, when available, or
by using the existing Internet connection.
The Yanzi IoT Gateway 2 and Yanzi IoT Access Point 2 are based on the same
hardware platform, only differing in software configuration.

Getting started
Two steps and Yanzi IoT Gateway 2/Yanzi
IoT Access Point 2 is connected
1. Start
Plug in the included power adapter and
connect the Ethernet cable to your existing
Internet connection OR
Plug in PoE compliant Ethernet connection.
Push the UPS switch on the left side backwards
to enable the battery backup feature.
2. Connect
Register Yanzi IoT Gateway 2 or Yanzi IoT
Access Point 2 using the QR code on the
back side.
You are now ready to use Yanzi IoT
Gateway 2 and Yanzi IoT Access Point 2 to
connect with other products from the Yanzi
family.

Network Connectivity
●Gateway and Access Points requires a DHCP server on the network
to get IP addresses assigned.
●The Gateway communicates with the Access Points using UPnP
and TLS over Ethernet.
●Gateways and Access Points must sit on the same layer 2
broadcast and IP multi-cast domain.
●Internet connection only requires outgoing port 443 and 4445. No
inwards connection required. Gateway connects automatically to
the Yanzi server.
