Dear Customer,
Thank you very much for choosing the ARYS™ me arm re-
habilitation support system. We hope you will enjoy using
this device. Thanks to the intelligent tracker with its inte-
grated sensors, this system offers you the possibility of
recording arm activities during your everyday life. Each
handshake starts to become a part of your daily therapy.
All your collected data is transferred to the smartphone app
and transformed into therapy-relevant information. Daily
progress is visualized on the app in an easily understandable
way in the «Tree of Recovery» game, and can be recalled at
any time.
The ARYS™ me system comes with the following contents:

Attaching the tracker to the wristband
Attach the tracker to the wristband by lining up the tracker
with the LEDs facing upwards. Press the tracker into the
wristband.
Wrist placement
In order to get accurate data, ARYS™ me should fit snugly
on top of the wrist of the affected arm.
• ARYS™ me has been tested for biocompatibility and
should not cause allergic reactions
• If you feel any discomfort on your wrist while or after
wearing the product, please discontinue use

Charging ARYS™ me
1. Connect the USB cable to the ARYS™ tracker charger
and wall hub
2. Connect ARYS™ me to the charger by laying the tracker
flat on top of it. A built-in magnet helps to place the
tracker in the ideal position for charging
3. Wait until the LED turns on. Charging is indicated as
follows on the status LED:
• Charging: LED ashes green every two seconds
• Fully charged (>95 %): LED lights up green
continuously. After a few seconds, the LED turns off
completely and returns to normal mode
Your tracker will be fully charged after approximately
2 hours15 minutes.
• Do not use other equipment than the ones provided by
yband therapy (excluding the standard USB cable) as
they may result in increased emissions or decreased
device immunity.
• The ARYS™ me tracker and charger should not be used
adjacent to or stacked with other equipment.
• Do not use your ARYS™ me devices within less than
30 cm away from any other devices with RF emissions
(e.g. all smartphones).

Status LED:
• Press and hold the button for at least 5 seconds until the
LED turns blue and starts flashing. Pairing mode of the
tracker is activated.
• Flashes blue every 30 seconds: Bluetooth® connected
• Battery level
• Flashes green every 15 seconds: tracker is running

Status LED and its functionality
Bluetooth
®:
• A slowly flashing blue LED indicates that the tracker has
been detected by the app and can be paired
• If the pairing was successful, the status LED lights up in
blue for 4 seconds
• A fast, flashing blue LED indicates that data is being
exchanged with the app
Battery level:
• During charging, the LED flashes green
• If the battery status is low, this is indicated as follows:
• Below 20 %: the LED ashes two times every 60 seconds
• Below 10 %: the LED ashes four times every 30 seconds
• Below 2 %: the status LED is constantly red
• If the battery reaches 1 %, the tracker vibrates and shuts
down
If flight mode is activated, the LED works according to the
same principle but the LED is purple instead of blue. The
arm activities are counted independently of the status of the
Bluetooth® function.
Activity LEDs and their functionality
The activity LEDs indicate the progress made towards the
daily target as follows:
• Progress <25 %: rst LED ashes white (starting on the
left side)
• Progress between 25 and 50 %: rst LED is lit in white
and the second LED flashes
• Progress between 50 and 75 %: the rst two LEDs are lit
in white and the third LED flashes
• Progress between 75 and 99 %: the rst three LEDs are
lit in white and the fourth LED flashes
• Progress 100 %: all four LEDs are lit in white and the
tracker vibrates
If snooze mode is activated, the activity LEDs are blue
instead of white.

Button:
The button has the following functions:
• Pressing the button once turns the activity LEDs on and
the progress towards your daily target is visible
• Pressing the button constantly for 3 seconds activates
flight mode
• Pressing and holding the button for at least 5 seconds
means the LED turns blue and starts flashing. Pairing
mode of the tracker is now activated
• Pressing the button constantly for 9 seconds resets the
tracker
Button and snooze period:
The button has the following functions for the snooze
period:
• Pressing the button twice activates and deactivates the
snooze period
• The duration of the period can be changed in the app
settings. The period can be set to between 60 and
120 minutes (default setting 90 minutes)

Tracker LED interface:
• Flashes green every 15 sec. – normal operation
• Flashes purple every 15 sec. – normal operation, in flight
mode
• Flashes green twice every 60 sec. – battery below 20 %
• Flashes green four times every 30 sec. –battery below
10 %
• Flashes red continuously – battery below 2 %
• Flashes blue continuously – tracker and smartphone are
exchanging data
Daily target:
How are the daily targets defined and how can I reach
them?
• The daily target is defined by the system based on the
activities of the last 30 days
• Every arm movement is recorded
Reminder:
The tracker has been programmed with a smart
reminder:
• Your daily target takes place during normal waking hours
(24 hours reduced by the predefined quiet hours). If the
threshold has not been reached for the last 30 minutes,
your tracker makes two short vibrations
• If further 30 minutes pass without reaching the
requested amount of activity, your tracker makes five
long vibrations
• The reminder can be suspended for the defined snooze
time, which is activated by pressing the button on your
tracker
Technical details:
Your tracker monitors the following:
• All arm activities are monitored and counted towards
your daily target. Activities made in parallel to steps that
are counted are not considered as arm activities for the
daily target
• Movements during quiet hours or snooze periods are
counted
• Movements during flight mode are also added to your
daily target
• All steps made during the day are counted
Your tracker saves the following:
Arm activities are saved every 60 seconds
• All reminders
• Daily totals
• Start and end point of the snooze period
If the memory of your tracker is full, the oldest entry will
be deleted and the latest one stored.
Communication:
• Your tracker can only be paired to one device running the
ARYS™ me app and/or to a clinical system
• The data transfer is performed via a Bluetooth® connec-
tion using a standard AES 128-bit encryption between
the devices
Update:
The software of your tracker can be updated via the ARYS™
me app.
Tracker test initiated via the ARYS™ me app:
• Sensor test the bar duplicates the movements when
moving the tracker up and down
• Vibration test the tracker vibrates for one second
• Light test status LED and activity LEDs light up
consecutively in all available colors
Flight mode:
In some cases, it is necessary to switch off communication
between the tracker and smartphone. To activate and
deactivate flight mode on the tracker, please press and
hold the button for 5 seconds. On the smartphone, you can
switch flight mode on and off as normal.
When in flight mode, the status LED and activity LEDs flash
in different colors.

Daily usage:
Your tracker can be worn during all everyday activities
except:
Bathing
Swimming
Attending an MRI, CAT, CT or PET examination
In such cases, we strongly recommend taking off the
tracker.
If you feel any discomfort on your wrist while or after wear-
ing the product, please discontinue use.

Standalone use of the tracker
You can also use your tracker as a standalone device. Your
tracker can record your movements without being paired to
a smartphone.
Once the tracker is paired after using it without a connec-
tion to your smartphone, the tracker date and time will be
synchronized. As the smartphone is the primary system,
the previously recorded data on the tracker may be trans-
ferred to the smartphone with a different time/date period.
This happens when the time and date of the two devices do
not match.
As a result, your activities may not show up in the activity
report and may also not be counted towards the daily
targets.
To avoid triggering reminders during the night, we
recommend placing the tracker on the tracker
charger every night. The reminder function is then
suspended in this case.

Signing up with the ARYS™ me app
Download the app and follow the instructions to create an
account and log in. All the information you provide is confi-
dential.

This app has been designed to work with Android 4.5 and
higher.

The «Tree of Recovery» grows with your progress! Every
arm activity leads to a blossoming of your tree, not to men-
tion some other surprises. Every arm activity will be record-
ed with the tracker and is reflected in the size of your tree.
All of your arm movements are collected to make your tree
grow. This total is counted towards the score that you need
to reach to move to the next level.
Your Tree of Recovery needs water every day to remain
healthy. Diamonds can be collected by completing the avail-
able challenges every day and then exchanged for water.

Pairing ARYS™ me for the first time
After setting up your account, you will be asked to pair your ARYS™ me with the app. In
order to do so, follow the instructions on the screen:
Smartphone and tracker are in close proximity
1. On the Welcome screen, you can start the registration
process by choosing your language and pressing the
«Registration» button.
2. Enable Bluetooth® and press «Next».
In order to pair the tracker, press and hold the button on the ARYS™ me tracker for at
least 5 seconds until the LED turns blue and starts flashing. This activates the pairing
mode of the tracker. The app now automatically searches for ARYS™ me trackers .
3. If an ARYS™ me tracker is found, it will be displayed above the search area. You can pair
the specific tracker by pressing the «Pair» button. The blue LED of the tracker flashes
blue while in pairing mode.
4. If the pairing was successful, this is indicated on screen. After a successful pairing, the
tracker vibrates and the LED turns constantly blue for 4 seconds before going out.

Setting up your ARYS™ me profile
1. In order to complete your initial registration, you need to
fill in all mandatory fields (*marked) on the screen.
Once you have finished, press the «Next» button.
2. Please agree to the terms and conditions before contin-
uing by pressing the «Agree» button.
3. You need to enter a personal ID code in order to use the
ARYS™ me app. The code was automatically generated
and sent to your email address. After entering the code,
the «Verify» button is activated and is used to send and
verify the code.
4. You can finish the registration process by pressing the
«Start app» button. Your ARYS™ me is now paired and
ready to be used.
You will now be given an introduction to the ARYS™ me
tracker and a brief introduction on how the app works.

1. Collect arm activities with the tracker
Wear the tracker on your affected wrist and collect arm
activities for arm movements. You choose the activities!
Every arm activity will count towards the collected
activity level.
2. Grow your Tree of Recovery
Gather arm activities to grow your Tree of Recovery level
by level.
3. Water your tree
Your tree needs water to stay healthy. Without water it
will lose blossoms and leaves. Trade diamonds for
water!
4. Overcome challenges to earn diamonds
You can earn diamonds by achieving challenges – for
example, by reaching the daily target. Get them all!
