Chapter 1 Product Introduction
1.1 Product Description
Thank you for choos ng the 1GE+WIFI EPON ONU. The term nal dev ces are des gned for
fulf ll ng FTTH and tr ple play serv ce demand of f xed network operators or cable operators. The
box s based on the mature G gab t EPON technology, wh ch have h gh rat o of performance to
pr ce, and the technology of Layer 2/3. They are h ghly rel able and easy to ma nta n, w th
guaranteed QoS for d fferent serv ce. And they are fully compl ant w th techn cal regulat ons such
as IEEE802.3ah and techn cal requ rement of EPON Equ pment (V2.1 and above vers on) from
Ch na Telecom.

Chapter 2 Quick Installation
2.1 Standard Packing Contents
When you rece ve our products, please check carefully to make sure that our products
whether have some defects or not. If someth ng wrong w th sh pp ng, please contact carr er;
other damage or lack of some parts, please contact w th dealer.

2.2 Quick Installation
1. Connect ng the opt cal f ber cable to the un t.
a) Remove the protect ve cap of the opt cal f ber.
b) Clean the end of the opt cal f ber w th an opt cal f ber end cleaner.
c) Remove the protect ve cap of the ONU opt cal nterface (PON nterface). Connect the
f ber to the PON port on the un t.
Note: When measur ng the opt cal power before connect ng to the ONU, t s
recommended to use a PON Inl ne Power Meter.
Wh le connect ng, please note:
Keep the opt cal connector and the opt cal f ber clean.
Make sure there are no t ght bends n the f ber and that the bend ng d ameter s greater
than 6cm. Otherw se, the opt cal s gnal loss may be ncreased, to the extent that s gnal
may be unava lable.
Cover all opt c ports and connectors w th protect ve cap to guard aga nst dust and
mo sture when the f ber s not used.
2. Apply power to the un t. Push the power button.
3. After the ONU s power ON, Ind cators should l ght up as for normal operat on. Check
whether the PON nterface status LED (PON) s on cont nuously. If t s, the connect on s
normal; otherw se there s e ther problem of the phys cal connect on or the opt cal level at

e ther end. Th s may be caused by e ther too much or too l ttle attenuat on over the opt cal
f ber. Please refer to the Layout Descr pt on sect on of th s nstallat on manual for normal
LED act v ty.
4. Check all s gnal levels and serv ces on all the ONU commun cat on ports.
Un t Installat on Adjustment
Install ng the ONU on a hor zontal surface (Bench top)
Put the ONU on a clean, flat, sturdy bench top. You must keep the clearance for all s des
of the un t to more than 10cm for heat d ss pat on.
Install ng the ONU on a vert cal surface (Hang ng on a wall)
You can nstall the ONU on a vert cal surface by us ng the mount ng holes on the bottom
of the ONU chass s and two flat-head wood screws.
a) Insert the screws nto the wall. The screw pos t ons must be n the same hor zontal l ne
and the d stance between them must be 145mm. Reserved at least 6mm between the
screw caps and the wall.
b) Hang the ONU on the screws through the mount ng holes.

Chapter 3 Configuration

to sat sfy nd v duat on serv ce requ rements, th s charter prov des the user parameter
mod f cat on and nd v duat on conf gurat on descr pt on.
3.1 ogin
The dev ce s conf gured by the web nterface. The follow ng steps w ll enable you to log n:

Entry of the user name and password w ll be prompted. Enter the default log n user name
and password.
By default, there are two user levels for management. Administration level user name is
"admin", password is "admin" . Normal level user name is "user", password is "user".

Connect on Name
The l st of WAN connect on name that has been created.
If you want to create a new WAN connect on, please select “Create
WAN Connect on” and nput other Parameter at the same t me and
then cl ck “Create” button. If you want to ed t WAN connect on,
please select the wan connect name you want to ed t and change
some Parameter and then cl ck “Mod fy” button. If you want to
delete one connect on, please select the wan connect on you want
to delete and then cl ck “Delete” button.
New Connect on Name
Name of new connect on that you want to create.
Mode Br dge/Route. The dev ce works on route mode w th th s WAN
connect on.
