TECHNICAL DATA
GENERAL INFORMATION
On average a menstrual cycle is about 28 days. Approximately 14
days after the start of your menstrual cycle and approximately 15
days before your next menstrual cycle the estrogen levels in your
body begin to rise which leads to ovulation.
Fertilization of the egg released after ovulation must occur within
24 hours.
The male sperm has a life span of up to 72 hours thus conception
can occur within a timeframe of approximately 2 days prior to
ovulation and 1 day following ovulation.
Your Body, Your Time™ demonstrated a high level of accuracy
when tested in a study comparing Your Body, Your Time™ to a
urine fertility rapid test.
Your Body, Your Time™ also successfully completed two clinical
studies with the support of the Unit of Reproductive Medicine at
the Dept. of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University of Schleswig-
Holstein, Kiel, Germany.
Electromagnetic compatibility
The device complies with current specification with regard to
electromagnetic compatibility and is suitable for use in all
premises, including those designated for private residential
purposes. The radio frequency emissions of the devise are
extremely low and in all probability do not cause any interference
with other devices in the proximity.

6
1. Certain medications, hormone treatments, smoking,

or cold.
4. Do not immerse Your Body, Your Time™ in water or

HOW TO USE THE YOUR BODY, YOUR TIME™
Using a gentle pulling motion carefully remove
the lens from the device. Carefully wipe the
surface of the lens using a dry soft cloth before
and after each use.
Use your finger to place a drop of saliva from under your tongue
on the middle of the lens. It is preferable to do this in the
morning, before eating breakfast, cleaning your teeth, or
smoking. Dab the saliva onto the lens without smearing the drop.
No air bubbles or foam should be visible. With the saliva side up,
set the lens aside and allow to dry at room temperature for about
10 to 15 minutes.
1. Use Your Body, Your Time™ before eating, drinking, brush-
ing your teeth or smoking, or three hours after these activi-
ties.
2. If testing in the morning and your salvia is thick and takes
longer to dry, repeat the test again later in the afternoon.
3. Clean the lens with a soft dry cloth before and after each
use.
Note
Step 3
Step 2
Remove the green protective cap from the device
and set it aside.
Step 1

8
If no pattern is visible when you
examine the sample, remove the lens
from the device and wait a few more
minutes until the saliva is completely
dry.
After each use, clean the lens with a dry soft cloth. Do not
immerse the device in water. Place the green cap back on after
use.
HOW TO USE THE YOUR BODY, YOUR TIME™
Place the lens into the device with the saliva side down.
Step 6
Note
Step 5
Push the light button to activate the
light switch. (If necessary, remove any
visual aids, such as glasses.) Bring
the optical lens up to your eye to view
the results. Look closely and carefully
at the sample in order to evaluate your
result correctly.
Step 4

9
It is scientifically proven that there is a direct correlation between
the increase in estrogen levels and the time of ovulation.
Estrogen can be detected in saliva, as well as elsewhere in the
body. During a woman’s fertile days, the salt content in saliva
rises due to an increase in estrogen production. The salt crystals
that form in dried saliva have a fern-like structure. This “ferning
pattern” can be seen most clearly directly before ovulation.
During infertile days this “ferning pattern” disappears due to the
increasing level of progesterone, thus a gravel like pattern is seen
instead.
...if you see a gravel like pattern with dots and
bubbles. You are probably not fertile.
INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS
...if you see a few crystals with a slight “ferning
pattern.” You are 3-4 days before ovulation.
This is the start of the fertile period.
...if the “ferning pattern” is clearly visible.
Ovulation has begun. Fertility lasts about 3
days. During these fertile days sexual
intercourse is recommended if you wish to
conceive.
Conception is unlikely...
Conception is possible , but unlikely...
Conception is highly probable...

10
Changes to the “ferning pattern” can occur because of the
following:
After stopping the use of contraceptive and other hormonal
contraceptive methods (e.g., birth control pills)
After giving birth, or during and after lactation
After eating, drinking, brushing your teeth, or smoking
