Getting Started
The Yunmai Smart Scale is a body analyzer that measures body weight and uses b io el ect r i cal impedance
analysis (BIA) t e c hn olo g y to e s t im a t e body fat percentage, BMI/BMR, bone mass, hydration level, muscle,
and body age. This helps in measuring and managing your health statistics.
Automatic user-identification technology stores personal data for a maximum of 16 users and saves it
in cloud storage. Upload data to your smart phone or other devices using the Bluetooth for easy
monitoring through the Yunmai app.
The Yunmai Smart Scale includes the following features:
 Measures weight, body fat percentage, BMI/BMR, bone mass, hydration level, muscle, and body
age.
 Measures weight in 0.2 lb. increments.
 Includes a large LCD display with backlight that helps users to read data, and also contains an
automatic power on.
 Automatically recognizes and stores personal data for a maximum of 16 people.
WARNING
 Do not use if you have a pacemaker or any other internal medical device.
 Do not use if you are pregnant.
 Not intended for use by children under the age of 10.
 Do not use to diagnose or treat any medical condition.

The Yunmai smart scale is intended only for usage at home.

Prerequisites to use Yunmai Smart Scale
The following are the prerequisites for using the Yunmai Smart Scale:
1. Install foot pads if using on a carpeted surface.
2. Install the batteries.

WARNING
Do not touch the Aligning Key.
The Yunmai smart scale is shipped with 4 AAA batteries in a small box.
Open the battery cover on the back of the scale and insert the batteries. This enables the screen to
flicker and flash.
In case of no data display, rub the four batteries up and down with your fingers until data displays.

Configuring Yunmai Smart Scale
Configure the Yunmai smart scale using one of the following methods:
 Scan the QR code to start downloading the Yunmai app.
The QR code is also located at the back of scale in the box, on the website, or in the Quick Start
Guide). After scanning the code, download and install the Yunmai app.
 Download the Yunmai app from Google Play or Apple iTunes.
After completing the download, open the app and set up your profile. Answer all questions (your
height, gender, date of birth, and so on), and follow the prompts to complete setting up your
profile.
Enter your name by touching the text box on the screen. Also set your age and your height by
scrolling up or down the number on the screen.
Go to the Settings tab to change the unit of measurement as lbs, kg, or jin. Make sure to enable
the Bluetooth.
Select the Reminder option to set up reminders during the day.

This section describes how to use the Yunmai app to view your data.
Viewing your data
In addition to checking your weight, body fat percentage, and BMI data, Yunmai also allows you to view
the physical examination scores. View the details by touching the data you require.
Your weight is always stored in the Cloud, and this helps you to check your weight and body fat
percentage every week, month, or year. Touch Day, Week, Month, or Year to view the respective data.

Yunmai allows you to set a target weight to track whether you have lost or gained weight. Slide to the
left or right on the number displayed to set your target.
INFORMATION
The Yunmai Smart Scale measures up to 350 lbs and displays an accurate readout to the nearest .2
lbs.
Accessibility to Guest users
A maximum of 16 users can associate their Yunmai accounts through the Yunmai Smart Scale.
Only the weight of the guest user is displayed, if the user does not have an account linked with the scale
steps on the Yunmai Smart Scale. The body fat percentage is not displayed and the data stored is not
be shared with other users or attributed to a user account.
All data gets stored in the Cloud, so you can easily and conveniently monitor your progress each week,
month and even the whole year.

Ensuring a ccuracy
The following tips help you to get the most accurate and consistent readings from your scale:
 Step on the scale barefoot. The scale cannot measure body fat percentage if you’re wearing
shoes or socks.
 Ensure to dry your feet before weighing yourself.
 Place the scale on a hard, flat surface when used. Using the scale on a soft surface like carpet
or linoleum may affect accuracy of the readings.
 Balance your weight evenly between both feet while standing on the scale.
 Weigh yourself at the same time each day to see consistent trends. Your weight and body fat
percentage will naturally vary over the course of the day.

Yunmai Information and S p e c i f i c a t i o n s
Four load cells measure weight. Body fat information is measured through electrical impedance and is
calculated based on weight and user account data.
Body mass is measured using bio-impedance analysis. Indium tin oxide (ITO) electrodes form a pattern
on the top of scale and send a small, safe signal through the body to measure impedance.
 Maximum weight limit is 350 lbs. (159 kg).
 Body fat percentage may not be accurate for children under the age of ten.
 4 AAA standard batteries included (Operating max: 3.3V, 0.1A / 300mW)
 No power cord necessary

 Do not submerge the scale or use high-pressure water jets (for example, shower head) to clean
the surface.
 Wipe the surface with a damp cloth using a mild detergent.
