2. TECNICHAL DETAILS
2.1 DESCRIPTION
Manual corker Pneus enables closing of the corks for champagne bottles (dim.30, 5mm and max. height
H48mm) and also of regulars corks (dim 24-30,5mm and max. height H49mm). The machine is half-
automatic; pressing the stainless steel handle down releases the air cylinder, which enables the
compression of the jaw through a special mechanism and pushes the cork into the bottle. The entire
closer is made of stainless steel AISI 304
(except for opening jaws, which are made of polyethylene).

5. OPERATING DIRECTION
5.1 PLACEMENT
Place the corker stably and connect it to air pressure system
5.2 MACHINE OPERATION
Operation of the stainless steel manual corker mod. Corker Pneus is very simple. To operate the closer
an air compressor with the capacity of min. 50L ( 6 bar) is needed. First you plug the closer to the air
compressor through a quick coupler. This way we enable the operation of the air cylinder. The closer
doesn’t require a source of electric energy.
First we place the bottle on the base (the bottle must be firmly placed below the closing jaws)
We must push the stainless steel handle into the highest position and at the same time push the cork in
the orifice between the closing jaws. You don’t need to push the cork to the bottom of closing jaws; it
should stay in the middle of the orifice. When the cork is correctly positioned in the jaws, remove body
parts from the closing head and push with your right hand the handle of closers onto the sealing jaws.
Then with your left hand trigger the switch, which is positioned on the left side of the sealing jaws (see
Figure).
This way we trigger the mechanism of air cylinder and it starts to push the stainless steel jaws together
via the stainless steel lever. We keep pushing the handle down by hand and wait for the cylinder lever,
which helps us to push the cork through the push nose into the bottle. At the same time we press the
closing handle downwards. When we push the corks into the bottle, the closing valve is in the lowest
position. With the help of the switch, the air cylinder comes back to initial position.

5.3 ADJUSTEMENT
SETTING THE DEPTH OF THE IMPRESSION
The depth of the cork impression is set with a nut (foto n. 1).
SETTING THE BOTTLE NECK
(foto n. 2)
SETTING THE HEIGHT OF THE BOTTLE HOLDER
Corking bottles of different heights enables to set the height of the bottle holder by transferring the
handle. Make sure that the bottle is always firmly fixed underneath the closing jaws (foto n. 3).
SETTING THE CLUTCH
Bottle closers have an adjustable clutch. With time the lever of the clutch wears out, which causes the
sinking of the bottle during closing. The distance between nuts must always stand at 15 mm. By setting
the nuts we lower the lever and this way obtain correct functioning (foto n. 4).

6. MAINTENANCE
After finished work and before every maintenance and cleaning procedure the bottle closer needs
to be disconnected from the air compressor.
For optimal operation of the machine the following measures need to be implemented regularly:
➢disassemble the upper cover above the closing jaws and add a bit of paraffin oil between the
jaws for more smooth movement;
➢clean all dirt that got caught between the closing jaws of the machine;
➢grease the levers of the push nose for more smooth movement.
➢When we aren’t using the machine for a longer period of time, it needs to be thoroughly wiped
and protected with foil so that the dirt doesn't accumulate on the machine;
7. DISPOSAL AND DEMOLITION
7.1 WASTE DISPOSAL
During use of the machine as part of the work process, waste substances or scrap are produced
that must be collected, recycled and disposed of according to the laws in force in the country
where the machine is installed. The parts of the machine that are being replaced must be treated
in the same way.
7.2 MACHINE DEMOLITION
When disposing of the machine, it is necessary to separate the plastic and electrical components
which must be sent to separate waste sites in accordance with local regulations.
With regard to metal mass, simply separate the steel parts from those in other materials or alloys,
for correct sending to recycling for melting.
ATTENTION: any drained fluids should not be mixed together and should be stored in closed
containers to avoid contamination with foreign substances. Their disposal must be entrusted to
special waste disposal consortiums.
