BATTERY INFORMATION
O - Ld = Weight Overload Replace Battery
These scales operate on a 3-volt CR2032
lithium battery (included). There is a strip under
the cover to prevent battery drain during
shipping, please remove this strip before
continuing.
Replace the battery when the low battery icon
“Lo” appears in the display screen, or when the
screen readings grow dim and/or irregular. It’s
important there is a sufficent battery level for
best performance.
To replace the battery:
Remove the cover
Remove any old battery
Replace the battery with a 3-volt (3V) lithuim
CR2032 battery
Put the cover back on
Note: please recycle or dispose of batteries

GENERAL USE
Use the scales on a firm, level surface at all
times to provide an accurate reading.
Press the “ON/OFF” (SYM) button and then,
using the “UNIT” button, select the unit of
measurement, metric or imperial; when
starting, the display should always read zero.
If not, press the “ON/TARE/OFF” button to
reset. Place the item(s) to be weighed in the
centre of the scales (maximum: 5kg/11lb/5L
/176fl.oz).
The scales will automatically turn off after 30
seconds of ‘non-use’ or if there is no change in
the weight.
TARE - ADD AND WEIGH
During use place your item(s) on the scales and
then use the (SYMBOL) button to “zero” the
reading.
This cancels out the weight of the bowl and you
can then weigh the ingredients.
This function can be repeated for each further
ingredient added.
The scales will turn off automatically after
approximatley 30 seconds of non-use, or if
there is no change in the weight after
approximatley 30 seconds.

ADVICE FOR USE AND CARE
If the display reading indicates “O-Ld” ; this
means weight overload; remove the item(s)
immediately.
These scales are designed to weigh items up
to 5kg /11lb /5L /176fl.oz.
If the display reading indicates “Lo” ; this means
the battery is low ; replace the battery, following
the steps in section 1.
Do not immerse the scales in water or any other
liquid.
To clean, wipe the scales with a soft, damp
cloth - do not use abrasive cleaners.
Do not tamper with the internal components,
this will invalidate your guarantee and could
cause lasting damage.
These scales are extremely sensitive, do not
store weight on them.
Do not dispose of batteries into a fire, river etc.
or anywhere that could cause harm to the
environment. If the scales will not used for a
long period of time, please remove the battery.
Do not use the scales in an oven or microwave
oven.
