12. line-Cord Polarization
Thisproduct is equippedwith a polarized a|ternating-cur-
rent line plug (a plug havingone blade wider than the

14. Outdoor Antenna Grounding
If an outside antenna or cablesystem is connectedto the
product, be sure the antenna or cablesystem is grounded
so asto provide some protection against voltage surges
and built-up static charges.Article 810 of the National
Electrical Code(U.S.A.), ANSl/NFPA 70 provides informa-
tion with regard to proper grounding of the mast and sup-
porting structure, grounding of the lead-in wire to an
antenna discharge unit, size of grounding conductors,loca-

AN OVERVIEW
ParentalControl allows the user the capability of defining whichprogram rating they consider acceptable to the younger
_r moresensitive viewer. It can be preset and turned either on or off by the user who specifies the secret
_-number code. The number of hours blocked can be specified. Generalaudience and children viewer blocks can both be
programmedinto the TV'smemory. Viewer ratings are specified for both TVand the motion picture industry; both rating
systemscan be used. Theseratings arebased mainly on the agesof children.
Below are listed explanations of each of the blocking options and a guide to help you access and
select the the Parental Control option best suited for your viewing environment.

ALLowsyou to blockthe signal sentby equipment connectedto the 1_/Audio/Videoinput jacks such
as a VCR,a DVDPlayer,Laser DiscPlayer,etc. So, if you do not wishsomebodyto watcha videotape,
a LaserDisc,etc,just set the Aux. Blockto SourcesBlocked.
The Motion Picture Association of America's Rating system has been included for those people who
may be more familiar with this rating system. There are six Levelsof settings. They are: 6and Above,
PG and Above, PG-13 and Above, R and Above, NC-17 and Above, and X. Press_l _to access.
NOTE:If you choose TV-PG, all of the more restrictive ratings will be automatically blocked. This
means that the viewer will not be able to see TV-PG, TV-14, or TV-MA rated programming.
Youmaywish to usethese ratingsinstead. Theyare dividedinto two groups, Genera[and Children.
Thesesettingsare:TV-Gand Above,TV-PGand Above, 1_/-14 and Above andTV-MA.
CHILDRENIThesesettingsare:TV-Y and Above andTV-YT. Press_ to access.
Onceagain, there are six designatedblocksthat you canaccess.They are: Dialog, Language,Sex
Scenes, Violence, FViolence and No Rating. Thesesettings allow you the option to block the
program"Content" basedon individual parameterssuch as: Strong Dialog, Bad Language,SexScenes,
Violence Scenesor FantasyViolence Scenesand then to select an age Levelaswell. Press_ _" to access.
Usethis setting to enter the amount of hoursyou wish the ParentalControl feature to beactive.
Selecta secret passwordor code, using the number keyson the remote control. Don'tforget the
password,it is the only way you can accessthe Parental Control menuand change the rating
selections. It is also the only way you can turn the ParentalControl feature off.
Thissetting gives you the optiQn to havethe ParentalControl feature active all the time or allow
you to turn it on or off as needed.
