1. EQUIPMENT RATINGS
• Transmitter: 110–120 Vca 60 Hz 3 W.
• Receiver: 9 Vcc 14 mA.
• This device posseses a single input/output connection designed
to plug into a standard U.S. outlet.
• This device is for indoor use only.
If the device is used in a manner not specified here, then the
protection provided by the device may be impaired.

2. INSTALLING THE BATTERY
Lift tab on bottom end of clip to release end cap.
Slide 9 Vcc battery into compartment, terminal side
first, matching (+) and (-) terminals from battery
to case.
Slide the clip onto
the receiver, pressing
down on battery
until both pieces
snap together.
3. LOCATING A CIRCUIT
Note: A small percentage of circuit boxes are mounted
with breakers oriented vertically. See diagrams for
proper receiver orientation.
Warning: For indoor use only on standard
110–120 Vca outlets.
Plug the transmitter into the outlet that needs to be turned off.
Verify that the red LED glows, indicating a live circuit.
Go to the circuit panel. Turn on the receiver
and hold it against the breaker as shown.
5. HELPFUL HINTS
It is important to hold the receiver at an angle so that the entire
CONTACT AREA of the receiver touches each circuit breaker.
Slowly scan the receiver over all breakers. This calibrates the unit.
During this first pass while the unit is calibrating, the receiver
may indicate more than one breaker. This is normal. If you have
more than one panel, be sure to perform this step on each panel.
Do not turn off the receiver.
Perform a second pass over the breakers. When the green
LED glows and the buzzer sounds, you are directly over the
breaker connected to the transmitter.
Turn off the breaker.
Verify that the red LED on the transmitter is off, indicating a dead
circuit, before beginning work.
4. CLEANING AND STORING THE UNIT
Clean transmitter with dry cloth only. Do not expose product
to liquids.
Snap the transmitter and receiver together for storage.

Scan the box that supplies
that circuit.
Scan again, moving the receiver
slowly. Be sure to keep the nose of
the receiver close to the breaker
and maintain proper orientation.
Use an outlet adapter. Screw the
adapter into the socket, then plug
the transmitter into it. Or plug an
extension cord into the adapter,
then plug the transmitter into the
extension cord.
Hold the receiver at an angle so
the entire CONTACT AREA of
the receiver touches each circuit
breaker (see illustration in Step 3).

Locating a breaker when you have to turn off a circuit can be a

1. EVALUACION DEL EQUIPO

diseñada para enchufar a un tomacorriente estándar.
• Este dispositivo es para uso en interiores únicamente.

2. INSTALACION DE LA BATERIA
Levante la lengüeta de la parte inferior de la presilla
para aflojar la tapa.
Coloque una batería de 9 Vcc dentro del
compartimento, con el extremo de los polos
primero, haciendo coincidir los polos
positivo (+) y negativo (-) de la batería.
Deslice la presilla dentro
del receptor y presione
la batería hasta
que ambas piezas
encajen juntas.
3. UBICACION DE UN CIRCUITO
Nota: Un pequeño porcentaje de cuadros de interruptores,
están montados en posición vertical. Vea los diagramas para
una orientación adecuada del receptor.
Advertencia: Para uso en interiores únicamente en
tomacorrientes de 110-120 Vca.
Conecte el transmisor al tomacorriente que debe apagarse.
Verifique que la luz del LED rojo esté encendida,
lo cual indica que el circuito está activo.
En el cuadro de interruptores, encienda el receptor
y sosténgalo contra el interruptor según se indica.
5. CONSEJOS UTILES
Es importante sostener el receptor con un ángulo de manera que
toda el AREA DE CONTACTO del receptor toque cada uno de los
interruptores del circuito.
Pase lentamente el receptor sobre todos los interruptores. Este proceso
calibra la unidad. Durante este primer paso mientras la unidad se está
calibrando, el receptor puede indicar más de un interruptor. Esto es
normal. Si usted tiene más de un panel, asegúrese de realizar este
paso en cada panel. No apague el receptor.
Realice una segunda pasada sobre los interruptores. Cuando la
luz del LED verde esté encendida y suene el tono audible, usted estará
directamente sobre el interruptor conectado al transmisor.
Apague el interruptor.
Antes de comenzar a trabajar, verifique que la luz del LED roja del
transmisor esté apagada, indicando que el circuito no está activo.
4. LIMPIEZA Y ALMACENAJE DE LA UNIDAD
Limpie el transmisor con un paño seco. No lo exponga a
sustancias líquidas.
Encaje el transmisor y el receptor juntos para su almacenaje.

Verifique la caja que alimenta
el circuito.
Verifique nuevamente, pero moviendo el
receptor más lentamente.Asegúrese de
mantener la parte delantera del receptor
cerca del interruptor y mantenga la
orientación correcta.
Use un adaptador para el tomacorriente.
Enrrosque el adaptador en el casquillo,
y conecte el transmisor. Otra posibilidad
es conectar al adaptador un cable de
extensión y conéctele el transmisor.
Sostenga el receptor en ángulo para
que toda el área de contacto del
receptor toque cada interruptor del
circuito (vea la ilustración en el paso 3).
Ubicar un interruptor general cuando se tiene que desconectar un
circuito puede ser un verdadero problema. Ahorrese el trabajo de
adivinar cual es el interruptor correcto.
