WARNINGONTHEUSEOFTHISCLEANERINAPOOLWITHAVINYLSURFACE
The surface of certain vinyl patterned surfaces can wear rapidly and the patterns disappear on contact from objects such as
cleaning brushes, toys, inflatable buoys, chlorine distributors and automatic pool cleaners. The decoration on some vinyl sur-
faces can be scratched or worn by basic friction such as through the use of a pool brush. The colours of certain patterns can
also be erased during use or when in contact with objects in the pool. The erased patterns, wear or scratching of vinyl surfaces
are not the liability of Zodiac® and are not covered by the limited warranty.
ͳ Failure to respect the warnings above may cause serious damage to the pool equipment or cause
serious injury.
ͳ This product is intended to be used in pools which are permanently installed. Do not use the cleaner
in pools which may be dismantled. A permanent pool is built into the ground, on the ground or in a
building and cannot be easily dismantled and stored.

1.4Recommendationsforuse
• When the pool is dirty, especially when commissioning, remove the largest debris using a net in order to optimise
cleaner performance.
• Remove any thermometers, toys and other objects that might damage the cleaner.
• The cleaner must operate in pool water with the following characteriscs: chlorine < 3 mg / l; pH between 6.8 and 7.6;
temperature between 15°C and 35°C.
• Immerse the cleaner before launching a cleaning cycle.
• Start by launching several bottom-only mode cleaning cycles.
• Never cover the control box while the cleaner is in operation.
• You can operate the filtering pump during a cleaning cycle; the particles placed in suspension by the cleaner will thus be
filtered out. However, if you see that the behaviour of the cleaner is influenced by the jet as the discharge nozzle level
when the filtering pump is operational, we advise you to start your cleaner when the filtering pump is not operating.
• If part of the pool is not properly cleaned change the place where you immerse the cleaner unl you nd the best spot.
• Regular use of the cleaner means that your pool will always be clean and the filter less clogged.
1.5Immersingthecleaner
Bathingisprohibitedwhenyourcleanerisinthepool.
• Roll out the full length of the cable alongside the pool (1)to avoid the cable becoming entangled when the cleaner is
immersed (4).
• Place the cleaner vercally into the water(2).
• Move it slightly in all direcons so that the air contained in the cleaner escapes (3).
• It is essenal that the cleaner sinks on its own and seles on the pool boom. While it is immersed, the cleaner draws
the length of cable it needs into the pool.

For better operation, place the control box in the centre of the pool's length, following the safety conditions
relating to electrical connection (see § 1.6).

1.6Electricalconnection
ͳUseofanelectricalextensionisprohibitedwhenconnecngthecontrolbox.
ͳPlacethecontrolboxonthecaddyoronthebaseontheground(dependingonmodel)atadistanceofat
least3.5metresfromtheedgeofthepool.
ͳChooseadry,atplacefreeofanyobjectsthatmaydamagetheundersideofthecontrolboxandexposing
thecontrolboxtodirectsunlight.
ͳThecontrolboxissplash-proofbutmustnotbeimmersed.Topreventanyelectricshock,neverimmersethe
controlboxorexposeittobadweather.
ͳBathingisprohibitedwhenyourcleanerisinthepool.
• Connect the oang cable into the control box (1).
• Push the connector in unl you hear 2 clicks (2). Make sure the connector is suciently pushed into place. If it is not,
repeat the operaon.
• Connect the mains cable. Only connect the control box to a power outlet protected by a 30 mA maximum ground fault
circuit breaker (ifindoubtcontactaqualiedelectrician).
• To disconnect the oang cable from the control box, pinch the 2 clips at the end of the connector and pull at the same
me (3).

4.Use
4.1Startingupthecleaner
ͳDonottouchthecleanerwhenitisoperang.
ͳTopreventanydamagetothecleaner,alwaysremovethecleanerfromthepoolbeforeyouaddanychlo-
rineoracid.
ͳ The pool cleaner is so ecient that it is not necessary to run more than 3 cycles per week
ͳ The rst me you use the cleaner, we recommend that you launch a "boom only" cleaning cycle.
ͳ The cleaning cycle can be customised at any me, before the cleaner starts or while it is operang.
• Before each cleaning cycle, roll the oang cable out along the pool.
• Connect the control box.
• The following lights come on the rst me you connect: boomandwalls(factory seng).
• Press the buon to select the "boomonly"cycle or the "boom+walls+waterline"cycle.
• You may launch a cleaning cycle by pressing the buon; the cleaner remains immobile for a few seconds while
the system congures, then starts up.
• It is normal for your cleaner to stop for a few seconds sometimes: it is calculating and adjusting its trajectory for opti-
mum cleaning of the whole surface of your pool.
4.2Adjustingthecleaningtime(RC4400)
You may reduce or increase the cleaning time at any time (+/- 0.5 H).

4.3Surfacecontrol
According to the type of pool lining, the cleaner will behave differently when climbing the walls.
The cleaner has the function to optimise thewallcleaning,thenthewaterlinebrushingon all types
of lining. However the function is set, the suction power remains at its maximum at all times when the
cleaner is moving across the bottom of the pool.
• Check that the cleaner lter is clean so as not to aect the cleaner's behaviour.
• Once the cleaning cycle has been launched, monitor the cleaner's behaviour when climbing the walls and when it
brushes the water line.
• Use the buon (accessible at all mes) according to the cleaner's behaviour: seethefollowingtable

4.4Stoppingthecleaner
• The cleaner stops automacally when the cleaning cycle is complete.
• To stop the cleaning cycle in progress, press the buon on the control box.
• When the cleaner is within arm's reach pick it up by the handle and li it gently out of the pool (1) so that the water it
contains drains into the pool (2).

4.5Storingthecleanerandthecable
• Take your cleaner out of the water at the end of the cleaning cycle.
• Do not leave the control box in direct sunlight aer having used the cleaner.
• After each cleaning cycle:
1. Disconnect the cleaner from the control box.
2. Roll the cable out alongside the pool, untangling knots, starting on the cleaner side.
3. Leave it to dry for the cable to return to its initial shape.
4. Reconnect the power cable to the control box.
• If you have the caddy (available as an opon), place the cleaner vercally in the posion provided for it to dry out quick-
ly. Then wind up the oang cable on the caddy handle to avoid the cable becoming tangled up. Keep the cleaner out
of sunlight unl the next me you use it.

5.Maintenance
Toavoidanyelectricshockandanyotherrisksthatmaycauseseriousinjuryordeath,disconnectthecleaner
fromthepowersupplybeforeyoucarryoutanycleaningormaintenance.
5.1.Cleaningthefilter
The cleaner performance can be reduced if the filter is full or dirty. At the end of each cycle, clean the filter in
fresh water for effective cleaning.
Filteraccess
• The lid's handle rises automacally when you press the Push’n’Go™ buon (1;2).
• Remove the "lid + handle" assembly using this handle (3).
• Press the two locks on the lid to release the lter (4;5).
• Clean the lter in fresh water(6).

"Cleanfilter"indicator(RC4400)
If the "clean filter" indicator on the control box lights up, it is strongly recommended to clean the filter.
If the indicator comes on during a cleaning cycle, it will remain on until the end of the cycle.
5.2Replacingthebrushes
• The cleaner is ed with PVC brushes. They have wear indicators (1).
• To remove worn brushes, remove the tabs from the holes in which they are xed.
• To t new brushes start by ng the side without tabs under the brush holder (2).
• Roll the brush around its support and slide the tabs into the xing holes (3).
• Using non-cung pliers, pull the end of each tab to slide it through the slot
• Cut the tabs using a pair of scissors for them to be level with the other blades (4).

We recommend that you change the brushes after 2 seasons' use.

5.3Replacingthetracks
• Place the cleaner on its side(1).
• Starng with one of the wheels, pull the inside of the track to separate it from the wheel (2).Then remove the track
from the cleaner.
• To install the new track, posion the inside of the track on the rst wheel's grooves (3).
• Stretch the track around the second wheel, then around the last one. Press down on the track to posion it correctly on
the wheel grooves (4).Make sure that the track passes under the guide.

5.4Maintenanceofyourcleaner
• The cleaner must be cleaned regularly using clean or slightly soapy water, do not use solvents such as trichloroethylene
or its equivalent.
• Rinse the cleaner generously using clean water.
• Do not let your cleaner dry in the sun by the pool.
5.5Recycling
This symbol means that you cleaner must not be thrown into a normal bin. It will be selectively collected for
the purpose of reuse, recycling or creating value. If it contains any substances that may be harmful to the envi-
ronment, these will be eliminated or neutralised. Contact your dealer for recycling information.
6.Troubleshooting
6.1Meaningofthe"controlindicator"LEDBLINKS
• If the LED is o, the cleaner is operang normally.
• If the LED is ashing, the cleaner is leng you know that checks must be carried out to improve cleaning and/or
resolve an error. See the table below.
PROBLEMS SOLUTIONS
• Check that the cleaner is correctly connected to the control box. If nec-
essary, unplug it and reconnect it following the appropriate procedure.
• Check that nothing is stopping the brushes and tracks from turning cor-
rectly (sand, cable, etc.). To do so, raise the tracks to check that there
are no external elements jammed in a housing.
• Cleaner operang outside the pool. Make sure you start the cleaner
when it is in the water (see § 1.5).
• Check for the presence of pebbles or hair in the fan, if necessary clean
the lter.

6.2Otherpossiblesituations

This may have 2 causes:
• The lter is full or dirty: all you have to do is clean it.
• Even though the water seems clear, microscopic algae are present in your
pool, they are not visible to the naked eye, and they make the sides slippery
and prevent the cleaner from climbing. Carry out shock chlorinaon and slight-
ly reduce the pH.
Donotleavethecleanerinthewaterduringshocktreatment.

• Check that the outlet to which the control box is connected is receiving a
power supply.
• Check that you have started a cleaning cycle and check that the indicators are
on.
