Operationprocedure:Useablowertoblowawaythedustontheequipmentsurface,
anduseabsolutealcoholtowashtheequipmentsurface.Itisrecommendedtoputa
thinlayerofheat-conductivesiliconoilonthecomponentsexposedintheair.
2.Takeantistaticmeasurestoprotecttheequipment.
Operationprocedure:Keepacertainhumidityinsidetheequipmentroom,preventthe
accumulationofstaticelectricity,andkeepgoodcontactbetweenthegroundingcable
andtheequipment.
3.Verifythattheairconditionerintheequipmentroomisoperatingproperly,andkeep
thetemperatureinsidetheequipmentroomwithintherangefrom15°Cto35°C.
4.Keepthehumidityinsidetheequipmentroomwithintherangefrom20%to80%,and
takewaterproofanddampproofmeasuresfortheequipmentintherainyseason.

groundingmode.IftheIFcableisshorterthan60m,itisrecommendedtogroundthe
cableinthetwo-pointgroundingmode.Waterproongmeasuresshouldbemadeat
thegroundingpoints.
6.Tosatisfytheantennaheightadjustmentrequirementinfuture,reserve5-10mofthe
IFcabletomakearingandxitonthemetaltower,seeFigure1-6.

Thisprocedureshowsanexamplewhentheairinterfaceuses1+1conguration.The
followingprinciplesshouldbeobservedfortroubleshooting:

2.1ApplicationFaults
2.1.1APCConnectedtotheLMTInterfaceCannotPingEquipment
Performthefollowingtroubleshootingsteps:
1.ChecktheIPcongurationofthePersonalComputer(PC).
ToaccesstheequipmentthroughtheLMTinterface,theIPaddressofthePCmustbe
conguredwithinthesamenetworksegmentofthedefaultLMTdebugIPaddress.
2.VerifythattheFTPprocesscanbeaccessed.
3.VerifythatthePCisconguredwithonlyonenetworkadapter.
IfthePCisconguredwithtwonetworkadapters,itcannotaccesstheequipment
sometimes.Inthiscase,disableonenetworkadapter.Afterthat,thePCcanaccess
theequipmentsuccessfully.
4.VerifythattherewallfunctionisnotenabledonthePC.
Normally,therewallfunctionwillprohibitsomeprogramstoaccessthenetwork.Itis
recommendedtodisabletherewallfunctionoraddtheportstobeaccessedinthe
rewallconguration.
5.ChecktheRUNindicatoroftheRadioCoreCrossModemUnitA(RCMUC)orRCMUD
boardtoverifythattheRCMUCorRCMUDboardisoperatingproperly.
lIftheRUNindicatorislitredforveseconds,theRCMUCorRCMUDboardis
beingstarted.
lIftheRUNindicatorislitgreen,theRCMUCorRCMUDboardisoperating
properly.
lIftheRUNindicatorisnotlitgreenaftertheRCMUCorRCMUDboardisstarted,
theRCMUCorRCMUDboardmaybefaulty.
6.Iftheproblemstillexistsafterthepreviousoperations,replacethePC.
2.1.2APCConnectedtotheNMSInterfaceCannotPingthe
Equipment
Performthefollowingtroubleshootingsteps:
1.ChecktheIPcongurationofthePC.
ToaccesstheequipmentthroughtheNMSinterface,theIPaddressofthePCand
thatoftheNMSinterfacemustbeconguredinthesamenetworksegment.Ifthetwo
IPaddressesarenotconguredinthesamenetworksegment,recongurethem,and
accesstheequipmentagain.
2.ChecktheportmodeandVLANcongurationoftheNMSinterface.
ToenablethePCtoaccessequipment,enabletheNMSinterface,settheportmode
oftheNMSinterfacetoAccess,andsetPVIDtotheNMSVLANID.
3.VerifythatthePCisconguredwithonlyonenetworkadapter.
