1. Preface
1.1 Audience
This manual is intended to provide clear operating instructions for those responsible for
configuring and managing the G216/G232 FXS VoIP Gateways. By carefully reading and
consulting this manual, to help the audience solve the setting and deployment issues of the
FXS VoIP Gateway.

2. Overview
2.1 Product Overview
ZYCOO G216 and G232 are high-performance FXS analog gateways designed specifically
for small and medium-sized enterprises, aiming to deliver high-quality, stable, and reliable
voice solutions.
The G-Series FXS VoIP Gateways utilize the standard SIP protocol and come equipped with
16/32 FXS ports, allowing you to seamlessly connect analog phones to VoIP networks.
Furthermore, the FXS gateways support advanced features such as Remote Configuration,
enhancing system setup and troubleshooting efficiency. In terms of security, both of them
utilize TLS protocol encryption technology to ensure safety.
The simple deployment, user-friendly operation, and easy management features make the G-
Series an ideal choice for communication needs in small and medium-sized enterprises.
2.2 Product Main Features
Compatibility with a wide range of analog phones, including support for message light
functionality.
Standard SIP protocol, ensuring compatibility with various PBX systems.
Support for multiple encodings, enabling adaptation to different network bandwidths and
ensuring optimal voice quality.

3. Getting Started
3.1 Hardware Installation
The hardware installation instructions for each device are described in detail in the paper
"Quick Installation Guide" in the device package. Please refer to the instructions in the
"Quick Installation Guide" to complete the hardware installation of the device. During the
installation process, please pay attention to the safety precautions to avoid unnecessary safety
problems during the installation process.
Note:
1.Please do not use a third party power adaptor to power the gateway device.
2.You may install the gateway device on desktop or mount it on to the rack.
3.If you are installing more than 1 FXS gateway devices in your local network please do not
use LAN port, as LAN port has a static IP “192.168.10.100” which may cause IP conflict.
3.2 Accessing the Web GUI
Access through IPPBX
You may use the CooVox T-Series IPPBX to scan, discover and access gateway devices.
As shown in the figure below, in the IPPBX management interface, click Addons -> Exbox -
> G2 Gateway in the navigation bar to access, as shown in the figure below.
Click the "Scan" button to start Auto Discovery all gateway devices in the same local
network and the discovered devices will be listed on this page. Once a device is successfully
discovered, clicking on its IP address in the IP column will redirect you to the gateway's Web
GUI.

Note: Only by deploying the CooVox T-Series IPPBX and G-Series gateways in the same
local network, and configured with IP addresses within the same network segment, so they
can work together.
Access through browser
You may also access the FXS gateway Web GUI by specifying its IP address in the browser
address bar. It is recommended that users use the latest version of Google Chrome browser
to access.
When there is DHCP server in the network, the WAN port obtains dynamic IP address in
default. If the acquisition fails, the default WAN port IP address is: 192.168.1.101. LAN port’
s default IP address is: 192.168.10.100.
The login page as below figure, by clicking on the icon , you can switch the system
language. Enter the username and password, then click the "Login" button to access the
system.

3.3 ZYCOO IPPBX Auto Provision
Log in to the management interface of IPPBX, click Addons -> Exbox -> G2 Gateway.
Then please refer to the steps in Chapter 3.2 "Access through IPPBX" to automatically
discover the gateway devices under the local network first.
Quick Setup
Each FXS gateway can be configured with in a minute. Please click on the “Edit” button of a
newly discovered gateway device and start to configure it.
Under Advanced Information, you only have to specify a start extension number and click on
“Auto Fill” button to automatically assign extension numbers to the selected ports from the
first port that you have selected.

Please ensure there’s enough available extension numbers that can be assigned to the FXS
ports you have selected, or you will have to create some more extensions from Telephony ->
Extensions -> IP Extensions page. After assigning extensions to the FXS gateway device,
please click on “Submit” button.
Once new configurations submitted, the CooVox IPPBX will deliver configurations to the
FXS gateway and make it effective. Once done the gateway is ready for phone calls.

4. Dashboard
4.1 Monitor
After logging in, you will see the system information interface of the device, and you can
view the basic information of the device.
Or click Dashboard -> Monitor in the navigation bar to enter, as shown in the figure below.
Monitor
CPU: Display the current usage of the CPU.
Storage: Display the current usage of storage.
Memory: Display the current usage of memory.
Call Statistics: Statistics of the current day’s call type and number of call of
the device.
Current Calls: Get the number of calls currently in progress every 5 seconds.

System Info
Model: The model of current device.
Device Name: The given name of current device.
WAN IP: WAN port IP address.
WAN MAC: WAN port MAC address.
LAN IP: LAN port IP address.
LAN MAC: LAN port MAC address.
Hardware Version: Hardware version number of current device.
Software Version: Software version number of current device.
Current time / Uptime: The system time of the device and how long the device has
been running continuously.
4.2 FXS Status
On the FXS Status page, you can view the status of all FXS ports of the device, such as the
extension number that assigned for the port, extension register status of the FXS port, and
current call status. As shown in the figure below.

FXS Status
Port: Display the port number of the FXS module.
Extension: Display the extension number used by each port.
FXS Status: Display the port running status of the FXS module.
Register Status: Extension register status of FXS port.
Call Status: Call status type such as Busy, Idle, Ring, Inuse.

5. Gateway
5.1 VoIP Server
Click Gateway-->VoIP Server to enter the VoIP server configuration page, as shown in the
figure below.
The FXS gateways support up to 8 VoIP server registration configurations which means one
FXS gateway can be registered to multiple PBX servers.
Export and Import buttons are used to backup and upload server configuration files. Click the
"Edit" button on the right side of the server list to change the VoIP server parameters. Click
the "Delete" button to delete the specified VoIP server settings.

Name: The name you given to this SIP server.
SIP Server: The IP address of the SIP server.
Port: The port number of the SIP server.
Protocol: The transport protocol to be used by SIP signaling. By default,
it uses UDP protocol, if you choose to use TCP or TLS please make sure the SIP IP
phone or softphone uses the same protocol. Otherwise, you’ll get “403” error on SIP
register.
Advanced Server Settings
Proxy Host: The IP address of the proxy server.
Proxy Port: The port number of the proxy server.
DTMF Mode: Defines how the system detects DTMF tones, the default
setting is RFC4733, it can be changed if necessary.
Available Codec: The FXS gateway system supports the following audio codecs
G.722, G.726, GSM, Opus, Speex, AMR, and AMR-WB. You may choose the
appropriate audio codecs from the Available Codec column and click to add to Selected

Codec column.
Selected Codec: Audio codecs you chose will be added here. The sequence of
the audio codecs listed here is the sequence of the audio codecs to be one call to be
established.
5.2 FXS Settings
On the Gateway --> FXS Settings page, you can configure each FXS port and view the
configuration information in the list, as shown in the figure below.
Export and Import buttons are used to backup and upload the FXS configuration files. Click
the "Edit" button to change the specified FXS port parameters. Click the "Delete" button to
delete the specified FXS port settings.
FXS Settings
Port Number: FXS port number, G216 is 1~16, G232 is 1~32.
Extension: The extension number corresponding to each port.
Remark: The remark information of the port.
Hotline: A specific number that the phone will automatically dial when
taken off the hook after enabling the hotline feature.
VoIP Server: The VoIP server to which a port extension is registered.
Registration Status: The extension status of the FXS port. The failure of registration

may be caused by the failure of the network or wrong password.
Operation: Edit or delete the FXS port configurations.
FXS Basic Settings
Extension: Set the extension number configured on the PBX.
Password: Set the corresponding extension password configured on the
PBX.
Auth User: In some scenarios, there is a requirement that the extension
number and the auth name are inconsistent. In this case, the auth name needs to be set
separately. Leave blank will be good in most cases.
VoIP Server: Set the VoIP server registered on the specified FXS port. If
there is no optional server, it needs to be configured in the VoIP server menu item first.

FXS Advanced Settings
MWI: Set the extension number configured on the PBX.The telephone
or other device will indicate to the user whether there are unread voicemail messages by
displaying on the screen, LED, or other indicators.
Hotline: Set up a hotline number.
Remark: Add remark for this port.
Bulk Fill
Click the "Batch Fill" button to quickly fill in batches of extension numbers for 1~16 / 1~32
ports, as shown in the figure below.
Click the "Upload Extension Information" button to import the configuration by uploading an
Excel file.
After clicking the "Auto Fill" button, the system will use the extension number with port
number 1 as the starting number to automatically generate extension numbers sequentially to
fill in the extension numbers corresponding to all port numbers.
Click the "Empty Fill" button to clear all the extension numbers.

Switch Config
Select any two ports and click the "Switch Config" button to exchange the FXS basic settings
and advanced settings of the two ports. When a port encounters a failure or requires
maintenance, users can perform a Switch Config with another functional port to continue
providing service without interrupting user connections. This capability proves crucial in
scenarios where flexibility in deployment and temporary adjustments are necessary.

5.3 Advanced Settings
On the Gateway --> Advanced Settings page, you can change the global configuration for
all ports, includes DAHDI related configuration, input and output volume, echo, and other
settings. As shown in the figure below.
Gateway Advanced Settings
Tone Zone: Select the tone zone of your country.
RxGain: Level of input volume.
TxGain: Level of output volume.
Send Key: Allow you to add # or * in the end number to call out fast when
you dialed on the analog phone such as call 10000# or 10000*, device will only handle
the call number of 10000.
Send Caller ID After: Certain countries (UK) have ring tones with different ring
tones(ring-ring), which means the caller ID needs to be set later on, and not just after the
first ring, as per the default (1).
Dial Match Delay: Set the dial-out delay time after inputting number completely.
Echo Cancellation: Algorithms of echo cancellation, options include OSLEC and
MG2. OSLEC is an open-source adaptive filtering algorithm that effectively in handing

long-tail echoes. MG2 entails incorporating a proprietary algorithm known for its
robustness and versatility in handing various types of echoes.
Enable Internal Call: Allow to call between FXS port without SIP server.
Call Waiting: Whether to enable call waiting on internal extensions. With this
set to 'yes', busy extensions will hear the call-waiting tone, and can use hook-flash to
switch between callers.
Denoise RX/TX: The denoise parameter will help on noise reduction of the noisy
analog lines, especially when gains have been increased on the lines.
Digit Map: If the user's dialed number matches a pattern on the digit map,
the call will be placed without waiting for system confirmation.

Feature Codes
Announce WAN IP: After dialing **11 on the extension, the WAN IP
address will be announced to the user.
Announce LAN IP: After dialing **12 on the extension, the LAN IP
address will be announced to the user.
Announce Extension: After dialing **13 on the extension, the extension
number will be announced to the user.
