A Important Information
•You must charge your batteryfor 18 - 30
hours before you use your M5 Stuart Tank
for the first time. We recommend that you
start charging your batterybefore beginning
assembly.Please see BatteryCharging
section beginning on page 5 for detailed
instructions.

hard surfaces; on generally level terrain; and
by children 8 years ofage and up.

serious injury.
-Use of Ultimate Solider®components in products other than Ultimate Solider®M5 Stuart Tank
could cause overheating, fire or explosion.
•The batterymust be handled byadults only.The batteryis heavyand contains sulfuric acid
(electrolyte). Dropping the batterycould result in serious injury.
•Never allowchildren tocharge the battery.Batterycharging must be done byadults only.
A child could beinjured bythe electricityinvolved in charging the battery.
•Never lift or carrythe batterybythe wires or connector. This can damage the batteryand
possiblycause a fire resulting in serious injury. Lift and carrythebatterybythecase only.

Important Notes
•Your new battery must becharged for at least 18 hours before you use it in your M5Stuart
Tank for the first time.
•We recommend that youstart charging your battery before beginning assemblyof your new M5
Stuart Tank.
•The batterymust be upright while charging.
•The charger is not a toy.
•Do not short circuit the battery.
•The batteryMUST be removed fromyour M5 Stuart Tank each timeyourecharge thelead acid
rechargeablebattery.
•Before charging the battery,examine the batterycase for cracks and other damage which may
cause sulfuric acid (electrolyte) to leakduringthecharging process. Ifdamage is detected, do not
charge the batteryor use it in your M5 Stuart Tank. Batteryacid is verycorrosive and can cause
severe damage to surfaces it contacts.
•Donot chargethe batteryon a surface whichcouldbe damaged bytheacidcontainedinsidethe
battery. Take precautions to protect the surface onwhich you charge your battery.
•Use onlya 12 volt (2.0 Amp/Hr.) charger with an input of120VAC, 60 Hz, 24W and an output of
12V DC, 2000 mA to chargeyour rechargeable 12 volt(7.0 Amp/Hr.) battery.
•If your batteryis old andwill not accepta full charge, do not leaveit in the M5 Stuart Tank.
Always remove a dead battery fromthe M5 Stuart Tank.

IMPORTANT! The batterymust be removed fromyour M5 Stuart Tankeach timeyou rechargeit.

•Usinga Phillips screwdriver, loosen the screws from the battery hatch. Open thebattery hatch
fromthe batterycompartment.

•Usinga Phillips screwdriver, loosen the screws from the batteryclamp. Remove the battery
clamp fromthe batterycompartment.

•Remove the batteryconnector fromthe M5 Stuart Tankharness connector.

•Remove the 12 Volt (7.0 Amp/Hr.) battery fromthe batterycompartment.

•Plug the charger connector into the batteryconnector.

•Plug the charger intoa standard 120volt wall outlet.
Note:Ifpower flowto the wall outlet is controlled bya switch, make sure the switch is “ON”.
•Before first timeuse, charge the batteryfor at least 18 hours. Never charge the battery
longer than 30 hours.
•Recharge the batteryfor at least 14 hours after each use of your vehicle. Do not charge the
batterylonger than 30 hours.
•Once the batteryis charged, disconnect thecharger connector fromthe batteryconnector.
Unplug the charger fromthewall outlet. The batteryis nowcharged andis ready to be installed in
your M5 Stuart Tank. Please see "Battery Installation" on page 10 for detailed battery installation
instructions.

E BatteryInstallation
M5Stuart Tank:
IMPORTANT! Use onlya 12 Volt (7.0 Amp/Hr.) battery. Use ofanyother batterywill damage your
M5 Stuart Tank. Makesure that youchargethe batteryfor at least 18hours usingthe enclosed 12
Volt charger before operating your M5 Stuart Tank for the first time. Charge the batteryfor at least
14 hours after each use ofthe M5 Stuart Tank. Never charge the batterylonger than 30 hours.
Failure to follow these instructions maydamage your batteryand will void your warranty.

•Switch the power to “OFF”.
•Usinga Phillips screwdriver, loosen the screws from the battery hatch. Open thebattery hatch
fromthe batterycompartment.

•Usinga Phillips screwdriver, loosen the screws from the batteryclamp. Remove the battery
clamp fromthe batterycompartment.

•ATTENTION: Make sure the battery connector wires connected to the same color of the battery
pole i.e. black color wireconnector connected toblack color batterypole (-ve) and red color wire
connector connected tored color batterypole(+ve).
•Place the 12 Volt(7.0Amp/Hr.) battery upright in thebattery compartment. Makesure thebattery
connector extends toward of the M5Stuart Tankbody.

•Plug the batteryconnector into the M5 Stuart Tank harness connector.

•Position the batteryclamp over the batterywith the ends ofthe batteryclamp aligned with the
screwholes in the batterycompartment.

•Insert the screws through the ends ofthebatteryclamp into the batterycompartment.

•Tighten the screwswith aPhilips screwdriver. Do notover-tighten.

•.Close the batteryhatch & tightenscrewsecurely. Donot over-tigthen.
Note:Ifthe batteryconnector will not plug intothe M5 Stuart Tank harness connector, turn it
over and tryagain!Do not force the batteryconnector into the M5Stuart Tank harness connector.
IMPORTANT! Always remember to keep the battery hatch locked at all times to prevent children
fromaccessing thebattery.
Radio Controller:
•Switch the power to “OFF”.
•Unscrew the batteryhatch located on the backofthe radio controller with a Philips screwdriver
and remove it.

•Insert one 9-Volt battery in theproper direction as indicated inside the batterycompartment.
•Replace the batteryhatch& tighten screwsecurely.

F BatteryCare and Disposal
Care
If abattery leakdevelops, avoid contact with the leaking acid and place the damaged battery ina
plastic bag. See information belowfor proper disposal.
If acid comes in contact with skin or eyes, flush with cool water for at least 15 minutes and call
a physician.
If acid is internally ingested,give water, milkof magnesia or egg whites immediately.Never give
emetics or induce vomiting.Call a physician.
•Charge a newbatteryfor at least 18 hours before first use. Never charge the batterylonger than
30 hours. Overcharging or undercharging the batterymay shorten batterylife and decrease
vehiclerunning time.
•After the first charge, recharge the batteryfor at least 14 hours after each use. Never charge the
battery longer than 30 hours. Charge thebattery after each use, regardless ofhow longthe vehicle
was used.
•The batterymust be upright while charging.
•Do not allowthe batteryto run down completely before charging.
•Charge the batterybeforestoring the vehicle.
•Charge the batteryat least once per month, evenif the vehicle has notbeen used.
•Leaving the batteryin a discharged conditionwill ruinit.
•Always remove an exhausted batteryfromthe vehicle. Batteryleakage and corrosion can
damage the vehicle.
•Do not store the batteryon a surface which could be damaged bythe acid contained inside the
battery. Take precautions to protect the surface onwhich you storethebattery.
•Do not store the batteryintemperatures above75°F or below -10°F.
•Prevent the batteryfrommoving freelyinside the batterycompartment. Alwaysuse the battery
clamp to secure the batteryin the batterycompartment.
•Examine the battery, charger and their connectors for excessive wear or damage each timeyou
charge the battery. Ifdamage is detected, do not usethe charger or the batteryuntil youhave
replaced thewornor damaged part.
Disposal
- Your batteryis a sealedlead-acid battery. It must be recycled or disposed ofin an
environmentallysound manner.
-Do not dispose ofalead-acid battery in your regular household trash. The incineration, land filling
or mixing of sealedlead-acid batteries with household trash is prohibited bylawin most area.
- Return exhausted batteries to federal or stateapproved lead-acid battery recycler, or a local
seller ofautomotive batteries. Contact your local waste management officials for other information
regarding the environmentallysound collection, recycling and disposal oflead-acid batteries. If
you live in the StateofFlorida or Minnesota, it is prohibited bylawfor anyone to throwaway
lead-acid batteries in the municipal wastestream.

G Caring For Your M5 Stuart Tank
•During snowyor rainyweather, the M5 Stuart Tank should be storedinsideor under a protective
cover. Remember to charge thebatteryat least once per month while your M5 Stuart Tank is not
in regular use.
•Avoid operatingthe M5Stuart Tank in wet or snowyconditions. Water or moisture inthemotors
or electrical switches can cause themto corrode, and could cause switchor motor failure.
•Avoid operating the M5Stuart Tank on sand, loosedirt or gravel. Sand,loose dirtor gravel inthe
motors or electrical switches can cause themto jam, and could cause switch or motor failure.
•The M5 Stuart Tank can be wiped with a soft, drycloth.

H HowtoOperate Your M5 StuartTank
•To operate a M5 Stuart Tankindividually, slide the Channel Switch of the M5 Stuart Tank (rear
tankbody) andRadio Controller (left side ofthe radio controller) to “A”position.
•To operate twoM5 Stuart Tanks simultaneously,slidethe Channel Switches offirst TankBody
and first Radio Controller to “A”position; and slidethe Channel Switches ofsecond Tank Body and
second Radio Controller to “B”position.
•Extend the antenna oftheRadio Controller.
•Use the left & right control sticks to control theM5Stuart Tankto move FORWARD,
BACKWARD, LEFTand RIGHT

•Push the TURRETTURNING buttons to rotated the turret left or right direction
•Insert the missile into the main cannon then pushtheMISSILE FIRING buttons to launch the
missile (with missile firingsoundeffect & recoil motion).
•Push the MACHINE GUN FIRING buttons to generated machine gun firing sound effect.
•After approximately45 minutes, your M5 Stuart Tank will begin to lose its power. Simplyfollow
the steps outlined in the “BatteryCharging”section to recharge your M5 Stuart Tank.
Operation Tips and Helpful Hints:
- Do not operateduring thunderstorms.
- When your M5 Stuart Tankstarts to loose power, it mayexperience loss offunctions of
performance ability. Ifthis happens, simplyrecharge your batteryagain and/or replace the
radio controller battery.
- Your M5 Stuart Tankis operated byradio waves. It is possibletheunit maynot perform
properlydue to interferencefromnearby devices such as acordless phone, hair dryer, walkie-
talkie or others radio controlled toys.
- Avoidsand and snowwhen operatingyour M5 Stuart Tank.
- Always select a safe place to play. Never drive your M5 Stuart Tankon streets.
- Keep fingers, hair andloose clothing awayfromthe trackand wheels while the M5 Stuart
Tankis switched on.
- Do not getyour rechargeable batterywet. If you do, dryimmediately.
