Important Notes
•Yournewbatterymustbechargedforatleast 18hoursbefore you use itin your M1A2
Abrams Tank forthe first time.
•Werecommend that youstartchargingyour battery before beginning assemblyof your new
M1A2 Abrams Tank.
•The batterymust be upright while charging.
•The chargerisnot a toy.
•Do not short circuit thebattery.
•The batteryMUST beremovedfrom your M1A2 Abrams Tank eachtime yourecharge thelead
acid rechargeablebattery.
•Before charging thebattery,examinethebatterycase forcracks andotherdamage which may
cause sulfuric acid (electrolyte)to leakduring the charging process. If damageis detected, do not
chargethe batteryoruseit inyour M1A2 Abrams Tank. Batteryacid is verycorrosiveand can
cause severe damageto surfaces it contacts.
•Do not charge the batteryon a surface which could be damaged by the acidcontained inside the
battery.Take precautions toprotect thesurfaceonwhich you charge yourbattery.
•Use onlya 12 volt (2.0 Amp/Hr.)charger with aninputof120 VAC, 60 Hz, 24W and an output of
12VDC, 2000 mA tochargeyour rechargeable 12 volt(7.0 Amp/Hr.) battery.
•If your batteryis oldand willnot acceptafullcharge, do not leaveit inthe M1A2 Abrams Tank.
Always remove a dead battery from the M1A2 Abrams Tank.

IMPORTANT! The batterymustbe removedfrom your M1A2 Abrams Tank each time you
rechargeit.

Open the battery hatch fromthe batterycompartment.

•Loosenthe butterfly screws from the batteryclamp. Removethe batteryclamp from the battery
compartment.

•Removethe battery connector from the M1A2 Abrams Tank harness connector.

•Removethe 12 Volt (7.0Amp/Hr.) battery from the batterycompartment.

•Plugthecharger connector into the batteryconnector.

•Plugthecharger into astandard 120 voltwalloutlet.
Note:Ifpowerflowto the walloutlet is controlled bya switch, make sure the switch is “ON”.
•Before first time use, charge the batteryfor at least 18 hours. Never chargethe battery
longer than 30 hours.
•Recharge thebatteryfor at least14hours after each use of yourvehicle. Do not charge the
batterylonger than 30hours.
•Once the batteryis charged,disconnect the charger connector from thebatteryconnector.
Unplug thecharger from the wall outlet. The batteryis now charged and is ready to be installed in
your M1A2Abrams Tank. Pleasesee"Battery Installation" on page 10 for detailedbattery
installation instructions.

E BatteryInstallation
M1A2Abrams Tank:
IMPORTANT! Use onlya 12 Volt (7.0Amp/Hr.) battery. Useof any otherbatterywill damage your
M1A2 Abrams Tank.Make sure that you charge the batteryfor at least 18 hoursusing the
enclosed 12 Voltcharger before operating your M1A2Abrams Tank forthe first time. Charge the
batteryforat least 14hours aftereachuseof the M1A2 Abrams Tank. Neverchargethe battery
longer than 30 hours. Failure to follow these instructions maydamage yourbattery and will void
yourwarranty.

•Switch thepowerto “OFF”.
•Open thebattery hatch from the batterycompartment.

•ATTENTION:Make surethe battery connector wires connectedtothesame color of thebattery
pole i.e. black color wireconnector connected to black color batterypole (-ve) and red color wire
connector connected to red color batterypole(+ve).
•Place the 12 Volt (7.0Amp/Hr.) battery upright in the batterycompartment. Make sure thebattery
connector extends toward of the M1A2 Abrams Tank body.

•Plugthebatteryconnectorintothe M1A2Abrams Tank harness connector.

•Position the batteryclampoverthebatterywiththe endsof the batteryclamp alignedwith the
screwholesin thebatterycompartment.

•Insert the butterfly screwsthroughtheends of the batteryclamp into the batterycompartment.

•Tightenthe butterfly screws.Donot over-tighten.

•.Closethe batteryhatch securely.
Note:If the batteryconnector willnot plug intothe M1A2 Abrams Tank harness connector, turn
it overand tryagain!Donot force thebatteryconnectorintothe M1A2Abrams Tank harness
connector.
IMPORTANT! Alwaysrememberto keep the battery hatch locked at alltimes to preventchildren
from accessing thebattery.
Radio Controller:
•Switch thepowerto “OFF”.
•Unscrewthebatteryhatch located on theback of the radiocontroller with a Philips screwdriver
andremove it.

•Insert one 9-Volt battery in the proper direction as indicatedinside thebatterycompartment.
•Replacethe battery hatch&tighten screw securely.

F BatteryCare and Disposal
Care
If abatteryleak develops, avoidcontact with theleaking acid and place thedamaged batteryina
plastic bag.See information belowfor proper disposal.
If acid comes incontact with skin or eyes, flushwith coolwater foratleast 15 minutes andcall
a physician.
If acid isinternallyingested, give water, milk of magnesia or egg whites immediately. Never give
emetics orinduce vomiting. Call a physician.
•Chargeanew batteryfor atleast 18hours before first use. Never chargethebatterylonger than
30 hours. Overcharging or underchargingthe batterymay shortenbatterylife anddecrease
vehiclerunning time.
•Afterthe first charge, recharge the batteryforat least 14hours aftereach use. Never charge the
batterylonger than 30 hours. Charge thebattery aftereach use, regardless ofhowlong thevehicle
was used.
•The batterymust be upright while charging.
•Do not allowthe batteryto run down completely before charging.
•Chargethe batterybeforestoring thevehicle.
•Chargethe batteryat least once per month, evenif the vehiclehasnot been used.
•Leaving thebatteryina discharged condition will ruinit.
•Always remove an exhausted batteryfromthevehicle. Batteryleakage and corrosion can
damage thevehicle.
•Do not storethebatteryonasurfacewhich couldbe damagedbythe acid contained insidethe
battery. Take precautions toprotect thesurfaceonwhich you storethe battery.
•Do not storethebatteryin temperatures above 75°F or below -10°F.
•Prevent thebatteryfrommoving freelyinside the batterycompartment. Always use the battery
clamp to secure thebatteryin the batterycompartment.
•Examine thebattery, charger and their connectors for excessivewear ordamageeach time you
chargethe battery. Ifdamage is detected, do not use thecharger orthe batteryuntil you have
replaced the wornor damaged part.
Disposal
- Your batteryisasealedlead-acid battery. It must be recycled or disposedof inan
environmentallysound manner.
-Do not dispose ofalead-acidbattery in your regular household trash. The incineration, land filling
or mixing ofsealedlead-acid batteries with householdtrash isprohibited bylawin most area.
-Returnexhausted batteries tofederalor state approvedlead-acid battery recycler, or a local
seller of automotive batteries. Contact your local waste managementofficials for otherinformation
regarding the environmentallysound collection,recyclingand disposaloflead-acid batteries. If
youlive intheState ofFlorida or Minnesota,it is prohibitedbylawfor anyoneto throw away
lead-acid batteries in the municipal wastestream.

G Caring For Your M1A2Abrams Tank
•During snowyorrainyweather, the M1A2 Abrams Tank should be stored insideorundera
protectivecover.Remember to chargethe batteryat least once per month while your M1A2
Abrams Tank is not in regular use.
•Avoid operatingthe M1A2Abrams Tank in wetorsnowyconditions. Waterormoisture inthe
motors or electricalswitches can causethem tocorrode,andcould cause switch or motorfailure.
•Avoid operatingthe M1A2Abrams Tank on sand, loose dirt orgravel. Sand, loosedirt or gravel
inthe motors or electrical switches can causethem tojam, andcouldcause switch or motor
failure.
•The M1A2Abrams Tank canbewiped with asoft, dry cloth.

H How to Operate Your M1A2Abrams Tank
•To operate a M1A2Abrams Tank individually, slide the Channel Switches of the M1A2Abrams
Tank (rear tank body) andRadio Controller (back of the radio controller) as followingtable.

•It is allowable to operate four M1A2 Abrams Tanks simultaneously by setting switchingS2 andS3,
slides the Channel Switches of first Tank Bodyand first RadioController to “channel 1”according
to theabove table;and slides theChannel Switches of second TankBodyand secondRadio
Controller to “channel 2”, andrepeat the settingforthethird andforth M1A2 Abrams Tank.
•Extend the antenna of theRadio Controller.
•Use the left &right controlsticks tocontrolthe M1A2 Abrams Tank tomove FORWARD,
BACKWARD, LEFT andRIGHT
•Soundswitch onrear tank body to turnOn/Off the electronic sound.

•Push theTURRET TURNING buttons torotated the turret left orright direction
•Insert themissile into the main cannon then pushtheMISSILEFIRINGbuttons to launch the
missile (with missile firing soundeffect &recoilmotion).
•Push theMACHINE GUN FIRING buttons to generatedmachinegun firing sound effect.
•Afterapproximately45 minutes, your M1A2 Abrams Tank will beginto loseits power. Simply
followthe steps outlined in the “BatteryCharging”section torecharge your M1A2 Abrams Tank.
