TMA MASTER
Spare Parts Replacement Procedures
Service Manual

Removing the cover of TMA MASTER
- Open the cover lid (1)
- Turn screws (2) so that the slits of the heads are horizontal.
- Remove shield window (3).

- Remove hexagon socket head cap screws (4) -M3x10- located at the bottom plate of TMA
MASTER.
- Lift the cover (5) off and place aside.

Stepper motors
Replacing the wagon stepper motor
TMA X motor with spindle
HP-TMA-MOT-100000
- Turn off the power supply and disconnect cables.
- Pull off X (wagon) motor connector.
- Remove the X motor.

- Remove screws (1) -M2x10- securing the nut of the threaded spindle of the sled motor.
- Unscrew M3x12 screws (2) fixing the stepper motor to the console.

- Pull the motor (3) to the right.
Replacing the motor
Motort is delivered with a nut, that should not be rotated or removed as it is positioned so to make
its mounting easier (not in Home2).

Mount the X motor
- Push the motor (3) to the left.
- Check the screw spindle end fits in the screw spindle holder (X bumper)

- Attach screws (1) -M2x10- securing the nut to the threaded spindle of the sled motor.
- Attach M3x12 screws (2) fixing the stepper motor to the console.
- Reconnect connectors, then the TMA to the PC and the power supply unit.
Necessary adjustments after the replacement of the unit
- Follow steps of „X outer bearing adjustment”
- Follow steps of „Wagon motor physical limits”
- Follow steps of „Fifth block center”
- Follow steps of „Optical adjustments and corrections” (usually, it is sufficient to modify the offset
position only; the physical adjustment of the camera is not necessary)
- Follow steps of “Trashbin adjustments”

Replacing the tray stepper motor
TMA Y motor with spindle
HP-TMA-MOT-200000
- Turn off the power supply and disconnect cables.
- Pull off Y (tray) motor connector.

- Remove the Y bumper (2)
- Remove the two hexagon socket head cap screws (2) -M2x12- securing the bumper of the
threaded spindle on the tray motor.
- Remove the bumper (2)

- Remove the Y motor nut from the tray
- Turn the spindle nut with your hand until the tray and the Y nut are positioned above the service
holes.
- Remove hexagon socket head cap screws (3) -M2x14- by reaching through the service holes on the
base plate.
(The tray is lifted on the illustration only for visualization purposes, please do not lift it!)

-Remove the Y stepper motor unit
Remove hexagon socket head cap screws (6) -M3x8- securing the motor.

- Pull the stepper motor unit (7) backwards to remove it from its position.

Mounting the replacement motor
Motor is delivered with a nut, that should not be rotated or removed as it is positioned right above
the service hole, so to make its mounting easier (not in Home2).
- Insert the Y stepper motor unit
- Push the stepper motor unit (7) forward to mount it to its position.

- Insert hexagon socket head cap screws (6) -M3x8- securing the motor.

Secure the Y nut to the tray
3 Insert hexagon socket head cap screws (3) -M2x14- by reaching through the service holes on the
base plate.
(The tray is lifted on the illustration only for visualization purposes, please do not lift it!)
- Reconnect cables
- Reconnect TMA with the PC and then with the power supply unit
Necessary adjustments after the replacement of the unit
- Follow steps of „Y outer bearing adjustment”
- Follow steps of „Tray motor physical limits”
- Follow steps of „Fifth block center”

Replacing the Zn (puncher) stepper motor
TMA Zn motor with spindle
HP-TMA-MOT-300000
- Turn off the power supply, and disconnect cables
- Pull off Zn (puncher) motor connector

- Remove the Zp motor
1. Remove screws (1) -M2x12- from the nut on the spindle of the puncher motor.
2. Remove screws (2) -M3x10- securing the motor to the console.

- Pull the stepper motor (3) upwards to detach it from the console.

Mounting the replacement motor
Motor is delivered with a nut, that should not be rotated or removed as it is positioned right above
the service hole, so to make its mounting easier (in Home2).
Mounting the Zn motor
Push the stepper motor (3) downward to attach it to the console.
