INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the INPRINT-MICRO. The INPRINT -MICRO incorporates
state-of-the-art biometric technology to safeguard your valuable property. It is
important that you take a few minutes to read this manual to ensure the proper
function of your INPRINT-MICRO. Also, to better serve you in the future, please
complete and return the Warranty Registration Card included to properly register your
new INPRINT-MICRO.
WHAT IS BIOMETRIC TECHNOLOGY?
Biometric technology is the recognition of the physical characteristics of an individual.
Examples are voice patterns, iris or retina differences, handwriting technique and, of
course, fingerprints. It has been known for more than 2000 years that an individual’s
fingerprint pattern is unique. Through the use of advanced electronics, fingerprint
recognition has become a very secure, fast and economical way to determine a
person’s identity.
INPRINT
The INPRINT-MICRO allows you the ability to utilize advanced biometric technology
which allows only authorized users to access your valuables.
The INPRINT-MICRO can enroll up to 15 authorized fingerprints into memory during a
simple setup process. Once these fingerprints are captured and encrypted, they can
never be stolen from the system.
To gain access, slide your finger across the sensor. The sensor scans the fingerprint’s
data and compares it against the encrypted fingerprint data in memory. Based on the
stored fingerprint information, the INPRINT-MICRO accepts or rejects access quickly
and accurately.

IMPORTANT DOS AND DON’TS
1. Do Not lock the keys inside the INPRINT-MICRO. Store them in
another location for backup purposes.
2. Avoid getting the sensor area wet.
3. Avoid exposure to extreme heat or cold, as with all electronics,
the battery power may be affected under these conditions.
4. Always check to make sure door has latched when closing by pulling up on
door outside edge to make sure secure.
5. Do NOT overstuff your safe. If you fill the safe to where the door is bulging it may
cause the locking mechanism to jam. If this occurs please use the key to unlock
and cycle the biometric lock with your finger print after you have opened to reset.

Support at 913-422-7400.
IMPORTANT:
You received two keys with your INPRINT-MICRO. These keys
are an alternate means to open the INPRINT-MICRO. DO
NOT STORE THE KEYS IN THE SAFE. Store your keys in
another secure location.
INSTALLING BATTERY AND A/C ADAPTER.
The INPRINT-MICRO is powered by one 9 volt battery (not
included) and/or an optional A/C adapter (not included). You
may use one of these power supplies or both at the same
time. If installing both, the battery will act as a backup power
source to the A/C.
GETTING STARTED
STEP ONE:
Open door with key in plastic bag next to INPRINT-MICRO
CAUTION: STORE THE KEYS IN A SECURE
LOCATION AWAY FROM THE INPRINT-MICRO.
DO NOT LOCK KEYS INSIDE THE INPRINT-MICRO.
If installing battery, continue to STEP TWO.
If not, skip to STEP THREE.

STEP
The battery is installed inside the INPRINT-
MICRO. Remove screw and battery cover
Ref Fig 2. Attach battery to hookups
and place battery inside the compartment.
Replace door and screw in place.
Change the battery when the RED light
flashes slowly at the end of an operation
indicating that battery power is low, or if you
notice the opening process slowing.
STEP
The INPRINT-MICRO incorporates an
Administration Button located above the 9g
label (Ref Fig 3). Remove the screw with
your fingers (you do NOT need to tighten,
just finger tighten screw to close hole after
use). Use the included straight tool (or
paperclip) to insert and press Administration
Button.
1) Press and hold to clear all
memory
2) Press and release to initiate
enrollment process
To clear the INPRINT-MICRO of all
stored fingerprints, locate the
Administration Button. Press and hold
the button firmly until the RED, YELLOW
and GREEN lights rapidly flash together.
This indicates that the memory has been
completely cleared and all fingerprints
are erased. If the INPRINT-MICRO door
is now shut without an enrolled fingerprint,
the only access is with the backup keys.
CAUTION: If the Administration Button is
pushed and released, the INPRINT-MICRO
will begin an enrollment sequence rather
than clearing the memory. The GREEN
and YELLOW lights will come on for a few
seconds and then go out and the RED
light will flash rapidly indicating that the
enrollment sequence has failed. Wait until
the lights stop, then repeat the procedure
above to clear the memory.

STEP
A/C Power: Using the A/C power supply adapter
allows the sensor to skip the waking process that
is necessary when utilizing backup battery power
only. Connect the A/C power supply adapter to
the A/C jack on the right side of the INPRINT-
MICRO and plug the A/C power supply adapter
into an electrical outlet.
STEP
The enrollment process is extremely
important. Please take your time and
become familiar with this process.
To begin the enrollment process, locate the
Administration Button above the 9g label (Ref
Fig 3). This is the same button used to erase the
memory in the last step but rather than holding the
button you will press and release it.
Press the button once using the included straight
tool or paperclip. (Do not hold the button down)
This will cause the GREEN light to appear solid
indicating it is ready to enroll. During enrollment,
the YELLOW light indicates you should swipe your
finger. Swiping should be done with the finger as
flat as possible, centered on the sensor. (Fig 4)
Start with the first joint of the finger and using an
even, moderate speed pull the finger across the
sensor. The INPRINT-MICRO will ask you to swipe
the same finger at least five times in order to
successfully enroll. If a RED light comes on during
the process it indicates the previous scan was
not successful. Do not restart the process, just
continue to swipe when the YELLOW light
comes on.

g .4
TIP: Finger must be FLAT on sensor
and pressed FIRMLY during swipe.
7
When the enrollment process is complete,
the solid GREEN light will blink. This indi-
cates the fingerprint was accepted.
Use this same procedure to enroll all fin-
gerprints (up to 15). After 15 fingerprints
have been saved, the next fingerprint
enrolled will replace the oldest saved
fingerprint. You may add fingerprints or
erase all saved fingerprints and start over
at any time.
STEP
Place finger on fingerprint sensor as seen
in Ref Fig. 6 above to “wake-up” the
sensor. After YELLOW light appears, slide
the finger that you have enrolled across
the fingerprint sensor exactly as it was
enrolled and slide as shown Ref Fig. 6
The INPRINT-MICRO will scan the finger
and compare it to stored fingerprints.
When a match occurs the door will open
quickly.

TROUBLESHOOTING:
MOST PROBLEMS OCCUR WHEN
1) The finger was not positioned the same as
when originally enrolled.
2) The finger was slid into place too
quickly and did not wake up the sensors.
3) There was too much pressure at the front of
the finger. Uniform pressure is suggested.
4) The finger was applied at too much of an
angle to be read accurately.
It is important that you practice the sequence
several times to make sure that you have the
process correct. Once you have the positioning
learned, the INPRINT-MICRO will open quickly
and consistently.
BACK UP KEYS
If the INPRINT-MICRO becomes inoperable,
you will need to use your keys to open the door.
To access the contents of the INPRINT-MICRO
using the key, pull back the lock cover which
will give you access to the lock. Insert the key
into the lock and turn to release the door catch
which will open the front door.
CLEANING
To clean the surface of the INPRINT use a
mild soap and water and soft cloth only. Avoid
getting the sensor area wet.
CAUTION:Products that contain ammonia or chlorine if
sprayed on the fingerprint sensor could cause difficulties
reading and enrolling fingerprints and could damage the
INPRINT’s finish.
To clean the sensor area, use a slightly damp,
dust free cloth to wipe the sensor area.
Do NOT overstuff your safe. If you fill the safe to where the door is bulging it may cause the locking
mechanism to jam. If this occurs please use the key to unlock and cycle the biometric lock with your
finger print after you have opened to reset.
9
A/C Adapter
When powered by our A/C adapter the
INPRINT-MICRO is constantly at the
ready. The constant power means the
device can bypass the 1 second wake
up process and open nearly instantly.
Tie-Down Cable
For maintaining security in multiple
locations you can purchase an extra
Tie-Down Cable. See page 10.
