2. Description
DPN-2 is an access control keypa an proximity rea er for up to two oors. It supports car , pin, car +pin
access.
It has 2 relays to control 2 oors an supports up to 2000 users in total, each user can possess one car
an one pin. It can irectly rive a lock, alarm, oorbell, an can also connect with an exit button an oor
contact.
There are 7 working mo e with this evice:
1. Wiegan rea er.
2. Stan alone for single oor.
3. Stan alone for two oors.
4. With external rea er for two oors.
5. Two units interlocke for two oors.
6. Anti-passback for single oor.
7. Anti-passback for two oors.
In a ition, it also supports 1 master co e, 2 manager car s, 2 anti- uress car users, an 2 anti- uress PIN
users, provi ing users with easy operations an goo reliability.

5. Installation
•Remove the back cover from the keypa using the supplie special screw river.
•Use the back cover or the template to mark an rill 2 fixing holes an 1 cable hole.
•Put the supplie rubber wall plugs into the 2 fixing holes.
•Fix the back cover firmly on the wall with the 2 self-tapping screws.
•Threa the cable through the cable hole.
•Attach the keypa to the back cover.

9. Full programming guide
Programming advice
•Master co e must be 6-8 igits. Anti- uress PIN must be 8 igits. User PIN must be 4-6 igits. The
first igit of user PIN an anti- uress PIN in Zone 1 must be 1; in Zone 2 it must be 2.
•User ID number is any number between 1 & 2000. Invali 0’s can be omitte .
•Car numbers must be 8 or 10 igits, if the car number is less than 8 or 10 igits, input 0 before
the car number.
•Door open time is 0-99 secon s. 0=50mS.
•When registering one car user onto the evice, the evice will automatically generate a PIN 1234,
this PIN can’t open the oor, it is use to assign a PIN to the user if nee e .
•When an invali master PIN is entere , the evice will go back to stan by after 5 secon s.
•In operating the keypa , pressing # means to confirm the input of the PIN. In operation of a cycle
a ing or eleting car s, pressing # means to en the cycle an backup the operation. Pressing *
means to exit the operation.
•Working mo e an keypa transmission format have been set before shipping. The customer can
change these settings accor ing to their requirements, but when the evice is reset to factory
efault the setting is still vali .
•When users of Zone 1 are successfully registere , the LED will turn green; when users of Zone 2 are
successfully registere , the LED will flash green.

10.User operation

11.Alarm functions
11.1 Anti-tamper alarm
If the evice is isassemble illegally, the external alarm an built-in buzzer will operate.
11.2 Door contact alarm
When wire to a oor contact, if the oor is opene illegally, the external alarm an built in buzzer
will operate.
11.3 Anti-duress alarm
When an anti- uress car /PIN is etecte , the correspon ing lock will still open but the external
alarm will operate. The built-in buzzer will not operate.
11.4 Removing the alarm
Rea a vali user car , manager car or input the master co e to switch the alarm off. The alarm
will also automatically switch off after 1 minute.
12.Multi working modes
12.1Wiegand reader mode
In this mo e, the DPN-2 works as a rea er, connecte with a common access controller. It has the
following functions:
•Mo ify master co e
•Set facility co e
•Set the car transmission format
•Set the keypa transmission format
•Set optional settings
•Anti-tamper alarm
When LED level is low, the in icator light (LED) will turn green. After 30 secon s or LED level rising,
LED will be back to normal. When BZ level is low, the buzzer will beep. After 30 secon s or BZ level
rising, the buzzer will be back to normal.
When use as a rea er, both the car number an keypa transmits in Wiegan format. The output
ata is shown by the low level of D0 & D1 wires:
D0: Low level means 0, green wire
D1: Low level means 1, white wire
The pulse wi th of low level is 100uS
,
bit perio is 1.6mS.

The igits of the car number can be set to 26-37 bit, an shoul be matche with the controller.
(Factory efault is 26Bit)
Keypa transmission can be set in the following 3 mo es:
Mode 0: Virtual card number
The unit will transmit the PIN ata when it receives the last key (#) press after the PIN co e.

12.2Standalone for single door
In this mo e, the evice supports connecting an external car for exiting the oor.
The users of Zone 1 or external rea er can open the oor by vali car or PIN.
12.3Standalone for two doors
In this mo e, users can control two oors in epen ently. Rea a vali car or input a vali PIN for
Zone 1 an oor 1 will open. Rea a vali car or input a vali PIN for Zone 2 an oor 2 will open.
Note: The common car for Zone 1 an Zone 2 can only open oor 1.
12.4With external reader for two doors
In this mo e, this unit is for opening oor 1, the external rea er is for opening oor 2.
Rea vali car or input vali PIN for Zone 1 on this unit, oor 1 will open; rea vali car or input
pin on Zone 2 of external rea er, oor 2 will open.
12.5Two units interlocked for two doors
The interlock function is mainly use in banks, prisons an other places where a higher level of
security is require . When oor 2 is close , rea a vali car /input PIN on this evice, oor 1 will
open; when oor 1 is close , rea vali car /input PIN on external rea er, oor 2 will open.
Note: The vali car /PIN is only for Zone 1, users of Zone 2 are invali .

12.6Anti-passback for single door
In this mo e, this unit is installe outsi e an is for entering the oor. An external rea er is
installe insi e for exiting the oor.
The users can only enter when a vali car is rea on the outsi e evice, an exit when a vali car
is rea on the insi e rea er. Without first rea ing a car on the external evice, the users cannot
exit from the insi e rea er. Also, users can’t enter twice without first exiting on the internal rea er.
Note: This is only for car users of Zone 1, PIN users of Zone 1 an all users of Zone 2 are invali .
12.7Anti-passback for two doors
In this mo e, this unit is installe on oor 1 an is the anti-passback master unit. An external rea er
is installe on oor 2, an is the anti-passback auxiliary unit. Then they buil up a two oor anti-
passback system, often use in parking lot installations.
The users can only enter through oor 1 when a vali car is rea on this unit, an then exit
through oor 2 when a vali car is rea on the external rea er. Without entering a recor on oor
1, the users cannot exit through oor 2. Also, the users can’t enter twice without first exiting
through oor 2.
Note: This is only for car users of Zone 1, PIN users of Zone 1 an all users of Zone 2 are invali .
