31B TRADITIONAL ANALOGUE TERMINALS -AASTRA 6700A RANGE
The new Aastra 6700a range of professional analogue terminals is ergonomic and efficient, with an
elegant design. It is suitable for classic, very small to medium-sized businesses as well as for hotels
and hospitals.
It comprises the following terminals: Aastra 6710a and 6730a.

31B.1 Aastra 6710a - the entry-level professional analogue terminal
Aastra 6710a is an analogue telephone powered on line by the iPbx (analogue card) to which it is
connected.
This telephone is easy to use in a professional environment.
Calls can be managed via the handset, a headset or in hands-free mode, with an excellent voice
quality.
Characteristics and functions:
•Hands-free call or call via headset available
•Release key: when the handset is lifted, pressing this key allows another call to be processed.
When a call is taken in hands-free or headset mode, pressing this key ends the call.
•Redial key: for redialling the last number called
•Flash key: for managing hold / enquiry call
•Amplified listening via the loudspeaker
•Adjusting the volume:
•of the ringer according to 3 levels: high, low, silence
•of the loudspeaker for the hands-free function according to 8 levels (1 to 8)
•of the handset according to 4 levels (1 to 4)
•of the headset according to 4 levels (1 to 4)
•1 LED: the LED is ON whenever the line is picked up (either handset, handsfree or headset
mode).

•4 keys with LEDs for:
•Taking a call without lifting the handset: in hands-free or headset mode. In this
case, the LED associated with the key lights up.
•Music on hold, putting a call on hold: during a call, pressing the "music-on-hold"
key puts the correspondent on hold (LED on) - the correspondent then hears the
music on hold; the call on hold can be resumed by pressing this same key (LED off).
•Mute: pressing the "mute" key during a call cuts the microphone (blinking LED).
Moreover, to start talking to your correspondent again, just press this same key (LED
off).
•Message waiting: The Message Waiting Memory key is used to store the number of
the voicemail box associated with the user. When a message is waiting in the
voicemail box, the message waiting LED goes steady on red or blinks (configurable
and depending on the card on the iPBX). Pressing this key calls the voicemail box.
•8 memory keys: they allow speed dialling of numbers stored previously (using the Save key).
•8 ring tones available
•Setting the flashing (300 ms by default)
•1 headset socket
•Wall mounting possible thanks to the wall-mounting kit available as an additional option

31B.2 Aastra 6730a - the advanced professional analogue terminal
Aastra 6730a is an advanced professional analogue telephone powered on line by the iPbx (analogue
card) to which it is connected.
It offers some functions such as call log management, volume adjustment, message waiting, and
terminal locking.
Moreover, it is multi-lingual (6 languages available).
Characteristics and available functions:
(In blue additional functions compared to Aastra 6710a)
•The terminal LCD screen comprises 3 lines; the first one displays the functions icon, the caller
number or name if saved in the A5000 directory.
•The screen contrast is adjustable.
•The navigation keypad is used to browse through the menus.
•1 LED for ringer and missed calls.
•4 keys with LEDs for:
•Taking a call without lifting the handset: in hands-free or headset mode. In this case, the
LED associated with the key lights up.
•Hang up key: when the handset is lifted, pressing this key allows another call to be
processed. When a call is taken in hands-free or headset mode, pressing this key ends the
call.
•Redial key: for redialling any of the last 5 numbers called.
•Music on hold, for putting a call on hold: during a call, pressing the "music-on-hold" key puts
the correspondent on hold (LED on) - the correspondent then hears the music on hold; the call
on hold can be resumed by pressing this same key (LED off).

•Mute: pressing the "mute" key during a call cuts the microphone (blinking LED). Moreover, to
start talking to your correspondent again, just press this same key (LED off).
•Amplified listening via the loudspeaker.
•Flash key: for managing hold / enquiry call.
•8 memory keys with LED used to store up to 16 numbers (using the "shift" key) for speed-
dialling of these numbers.
•Message waiting: the Message Waiting Memory key is used to store the number of the
voicemail box associated with the user. When a message is waiting in the voicemail box, the
message waiting LED goes steady on red or blinks (configurable and depending on the card
on the iPBX). Pressing this key calls the voicemail box.
•Directory of 100 records maximum: it is possible to make a search in the directory, to add a
new number or delete a number.
•Call log:
•The call log contains the last 50 calls made and the last 50 calls received (answered +
missed calls).
•It is possible to view the call log with all the calls, or to select missed calls, answered
calls or made calls.
•It is possible to delete one/several/all the records in the call log.
•Saving a phone number in the memory or in the directory, from the call log:
•It is possible to configure a memory key with a call number from the call log.
•It is also possible to call someone from the call log.
•Area code filter: if the area code has been configured, it may be filtered in the first
digits of the incoming number. For instance: the area code is "755". If the incoming
call number is "755-12345678", the caller's number displays "12345678" whereas
"755" is filtered.
•Caller ID display (caller name + number): when an incoming call is received, the caller's
number is displayed on the LCD screen for 10 seconds.
•Call log
Saved incoming calls contain the caller's number and name, date and time of call, call duration
and icons: repeated call icon, missed call icon, unanswered call icon and received call icon.

If the received call log is full, the next incoming call will replace the oldest input in the log (first
in, first out).
After new missed calls are viewed, the "New call" icon disappears and the "Missed call" icon is
displayed.
The call log is stored in the terminal.
•Alarms:
•The alarm format must be 24 H, HH/MM, and the telephone must then trigger the
alarm within 5 seconds after the local clock has reached the set alarm time.
•Default alarm duration is 10 minutes, but it can be set to 5, 10, 15 or 30 minutes.
•The alarm can be activated (ON) or deactivated (OFF).

Dutch.
•Protecting the terminal with a password: a password can be defined by the user. Then you
only need to enter the password to lock / unlock the terminal. The functions that are not
accessible when the terminal is locked are the following: access to the phone directory,
programmable keys and to the phone's critical settings.
•Adjusting the ringer volume according to 3 levels: high, low, silence
•8 ring tones available.
