Please retain these instructions for future use.
All safety messages are identified by the words “WARNING” and “CAUTION”. These
words mean the following:
When using the scale, the following safety precautions should always be followed:
WARNING
• UseonlythecorrectACadaptorwiththescale.Otheradaptorsmaycausepermanent
electrical damage.
•DO NOTuseACadapteratthesametimeasbatteries,useonlyonepowersource
CAUTION
• Thisisnotatoy,childrenshouldbesupervisedatalltimesifusingthisproduct.
• Alwaysuseonastablelevelsurface
• Avoidplacingthescaleindirectsunlight,thismaycausediscolorationormalfunction.
• Ifthescaleisnottobeusedforalongperiodoftime,removeallbatteriesfromthe
batterycompartmenttoavoidleakage,whichmaycausedamagetothisscale.
• Avoidoverloadingthescale,asthismaycausepermanentdamageandvoidyour
warranty – DO NOT EVER exceed the maximum capacity of the scale
• Keepthescaleawayfromwater–thisscaleisnotwaterresistant.Shock,injuryand
electrical damage can occur if used in a wet location!
•Matter charged with static electricity could affect accuracy. Discharge all static
electricity. For example, one method is to use Static-Guard spray, and spray it on both
sides of the weighing platform.
• Donotoperateamobileorcordlessphoneoranyotherelectronicdevicewithstrong
magneticeld(i.e.computer,radio,TV)within3mofthisdevice.

BATTERY INSTALLATION AND REPLACEMENT
• Alwaystakecaretotyourbatteriescorrectly,observingtheplusandminusmarkings.
• Alwaysreplaceawholesetofbatteriesatonetime. DO NOT mix old and new
batteries.
• Onlyusethesameorequivalentrecommendedtypeofbatteries,DO NOT mix type.
• Alwaysstoreunusedbatteriesintheirpackagingandawayfrommetalobjectsthat
may cause a short circuit.
• Removedeadbatteriesfromtheproductandremovebatteriesifyouwillnotbeusing
the product for an extended period.
• Alwaysmakesurebatterycompartmentsaresecure
• NEVER disposeofbatteriesinre-Riskofbatteriesexploding.
• NEVER attempt to recharge normal batteries.
• Rechargeablebatteriesshouldberemovedfromtheappliancebeforebeingcharged.

FUNCTION
HOLD FUNCTION
OncetheHOLD button is pressed, the indicator will remain on the display for 120
secondsaftertheitemhasbeenremovedfromthescalesotheweightcaneasilyberead.
1. Place the item on the scale platform.
2. Wait for the stable indicator to be displayed.
3. Press the [HOLD] button. The HOLD hold indication will turn-on.
4. Disablingtheholdfunction:Onceanitemisweighedandtheholdfunctionisenabled
youwanttoquittoholdfunction,pressthe[HOLD]buttonagaintocancelthe“.” hold
indicator and return the scale to weight mode.
MEASURING UNIT CHANGE / CONVERSION
BEFOREPLACINGITEMONPLATFORM:
The measuring unit (i.e. g or oz) can be chosen before placing item onto weighing platform
by pressing [UNIT] button.
WHILSTITEMISONPLATFORM(CONVERSION):
If you did not choose the desired measuring unit before placing item onto platform, it is
stillnottoolatetochange(covert)it.Simplypressthe[UNIT] button with the item still on
theplatform(orwheninHoldmode)andtheunitreadingwillbeconvertedtoyournew
chosenunit[i.e.lb:oztokg].
PROGRAMMABLE FUNCTION SETTINGS (AutoOff/AutoBacklight)
ENTERINGCHANGEFUNCTIONMODE:
Inordertochangethecurrentfunctionsettings,itisrequiredtoentertheChange
Function mode by firstly ensuring the scale is switched OFF. Then press and hold the
[ZERO] button whilst pressing the [ON/OFF] button.Nowthedisplaywillshow:-
A_ON or A_OFF
1. SELECTIONOFAUTOHOLD:
Press [UNIT] button, the display will show H_ON or H_OFF. Press [ZERO] to choose
ON or OFF, this means AUTO-HOLDfunctioniseitheractive(ON)orinaction (OFF).

2. SELECTIONOFAUTOSHUTOFFMODE:
WhilstthescaleisinChangeFunctionMode,pressthe[UNIT] button until A_ON or
A_OFF is shown. Press [ZERO] to choose ON or OFF: selection display ON, this
meansautoshutofffunctionactive.Press[ZERO] again, the display will show OFF,
thismeansautoshutofffunctioninactive.
3. SELECTIONOFAUTOBACKLIGHTMODE:
WhilstthescaleisinChangeFunctionMode,pressthe [UNIT] button until the display
will show L_ON (or OFF). press [ZERO] to choose ON or OFF: selection display ON,
thismeansautobacklightfunctionactive,press[ZERO] again, the display will show
OFF,thismeansautobacklightfunctionisinactive,i.e.shutoffbacklightfunction.
Press [ON/OFF] buttontoexitChangeFunctionMode.

BEFORE WEIGHING
Wheneverpossible,pleaseallowthescaletowarmupforseveralsecondsafterrst
turning the power on so that the scale will function properly and accurately.
ERRORMESSAGES:
EEEE or Err-0 =Overload
, Lob or LoBatt =LowBattery
WEIGHING PROCEDURES
1. PRESS[ON/OFF]TOTURNONTHESCALE:
When the power is turned on the display will count down from “999999” to “111111”
and then “0” appear on the display.
2. SELECTTHEWEIGHINGUNITWITH[UNIT]:
Press [UNIT] to select a weighing unit “kg”, “lb”.Oncetheunithasbeenselected,the
selectedunitwillbedisplayednexttotheweightvalue.
3. STARTWEIGHING:
If you do not use a container for weighing:
• Verifythereadingis“0”. If not, press [ZERO] to display “0”.
• Placetheitemstobeweighedontheplatform.
If you use a container for weighing:
• Placeanemptycontainerontheplatform.
• Waitforthestabilityweighingtobedisplayedandpress[ZERO].
• Placetheobjectstobeweighedinthecontainer.

CALIBRATION
USING ANY WEIGHT CALIBRATION®SYSTEM
Duringmanufacturethescaleisalreadyaccuratelycalibrated.Howeverwhenthescaleis
first set up for use it may be desired to calibrate it, or after time and use when mechanical
deviationscanoccurmakingthescalelessaccurate.Ifthescalehasbeenmovedtoa
differentaltitudeorgravitationthescalecanloseaccuracyastheweightofamassinone
location could be different to that in another location. It is also recommended to calibrate
in these circumstances.
What is the The Any Weight Calibration®System?
Normallywhenauserwishestocalibratetheirscale,themanufacturereitherrequeststhe
unitbesenttoitsheadofce,serviceagentoraskthatyoupurchasespecialaccurate
andexpensiveweights.
TheAnyWeightCalibration®System allows you to calibrate without needing to use any
specialweights.Insteadyoucanuseanyobjectsthatyouarecondentoftheirweightfor
easyandquickcalibration.Thiscouldbe,forexample,itemsweighedatthedeliormeat
counterinthesupermarket,bagsofpre-packedsugar,ourorevenpacksofcolacansor
coinsthatyouhavehadpre-weighedonLegalforTradescalesinthesupermarketor
market.Theweightcanbeinkg,g,lborozanddonothavetobewholeunits,i.e.could
be10.15kg,52.73kg,12.6lbor300.7lb.
HOW TO CALIBRATE
Itisrecommended,butnotessential,touseatotalweightthatisatleast50%ofthetotal
capacity.So,forexample,ifyourscalehasacapacityof16kg,thentheidealweightto
usewouldbe8-13kg.Youcouldcombinetheknownweightofseveralitems.Never
exceedthetotalcapacityofthescale.Lowercalibrationweightsareok(i.e.5Kg)ifthe
scaleisnormallyonlyusedwithitemsthatweighlessthan50%scalecapacity.
1. Turn on the power by pressing [ON/OFF] andleaveswitchedonforatleast1minute
before proceeding to step 2 below.
2. Turn off power by pressing [ON/OFF]
• Press [UNIT] and [ON/OFF] at the same time, now the display will show “CALu=”
•Press [UNIT]toselectthetypeofcalibrationunittobeused,i.e.kgorlb.
•Press [ZERO] to enter the Weight Selection Mode. In this mode you are now able to
enter the exact weight of the item you are using to calibrate the scale.
Press [HOLD] =increasesthevalueoftheashingnumber
Press [UNIT] =movestonextnumberontheright

CALIBRATION
3. Press [ZERO], the display will now say “CAL”andthena5digitnumberwhichisa
special internal reference number. The last number(s) on the right will change up or
downslowly.Whenthesenumbersarehardlychangingand/orthestableindicatoris
showing press [UNIT].Thedisplaywillnowash “- - - - -” forasecondandthenash
with the weight you entered.
• Place the item(s) to be used for calibration on the platform, wait for a moment and
then press [UNIT].Another5digitnumberwillappearonthedisplaywhichyouDO
NOTneedtoworryabout.
• Press [ON/OFF] toturnscaleofftocompleteandsavethecalibration.
Ifamistakehasbeenmade,pressing [ON/OFF] before the end of step 3, will turn the
scaleoffandcalibrationwillnothavetakenplace.
To test the calibration was successful, turn on the scale by pressing [ON/OFF], once the
scale has finished self testing and the display shows 0, put item(s) used for calibration on
theplatformandcheckthescaleisweighingcorrectly.Ifnot,repeatsteps2&3again.

TROUBLESHOOTING AND HELPFUL TIPS
ThePOSTSHIP®hasbeendesignedtobehighlyrobustandgiveyearsofreliableand
accurateuse.Neveroverloaded,droporshockthescaleasinsidealldigitalscalesare
delicate load cells which measure the weight of an item. They are easily and can
sometimes be permanently damaged so it’s important that if scales are to be shipped or
movedanywheretheyarepackedverywellandhandledcarefully
ThemostcommonreasonsformalfunctioningscalesandinaccuracyarefaultyAC
adapters, low batteries or bad battery connections. If a problem is found whilst using an
ACadapter,itisrecommendedtotestusingbatteries.Itisalsorecommendedtochange
batteries on a regular basis.
NEVERuseanACadapteratthesametimeashavingbatteriesinstalled.
Digital scales always perform slowly and to some extent inaccurately when cold (under
15°C/59°F)oriftheyaretoohot(over30°C/86°F),soit’srecommendedtooperateat
normalroomtemperaturesof19-30°C(66-86°F).Theoperatingtemperaturerangeofthis
modelis0-40°C(32-104°F).
1. If the scale does not seem to be accurate, or display shows Err-C, recalibrate as
describedonPg9.

Thisindicatesthescalewasdropped,shockedorsomehowdamagedandthedelicate
loadcellshavebeendamaged.TryrecalibratingasdescribedonPg9.Ifthisdoes
notresolvetheproblemcontactyoursupplier.
5. THEDISPLAYSHOWSErr-0:
Thescalehasbeenoverloaded.Ensurethatyouhavenotplacedatotalorcombined
weight (including when using TARE) in excess of the scales maximum capacity.
6. THEDISPLAYSHOWSUNSTORFLASHES Err-S:
Thisindicatesthatthescaleisnotonalevelstablesurface.Repositionthescaleand
ensurethatthereisnothingjammingorstuckbetweenthescalebodyandplatform.
Ifthisdoesnotresolvetheproblemcontactyoursupplierastheloadcellsmaybe
fatally damaged.

CLEANING
STAINLESSSTEELPLATFORM
For best results use a stainless steel cleaning spray and clean cloth.
SCALE BODY
Spray a general purpose cleaner onto a dry clean cloth and wipe scale body with cloth.
Clothmustnotbedrippingwet.
WALL MOUNTING
Thedisplayhasabracketttedwhichcanbeusedtowallmountthedisplay.
1. Markonthewallthepositionofwheretheholesneedtobedrilled(12.0cmapart).Itis
recommendedtouseaspiritlevel/bubbleleveltomakesuredisplaywillbelevel.
2. Usinganappropriatedrilltwoholesinthemarkedpositionsapproximately40mm
deepusinga6mmdrillbit.
3. Insert6mmwallplugsintotheholessothattheyareushwiththewallsurfaceand
thenusingascrewdrivertighten4mmdiameterx35mmlongscrewsintothewallplug
leavingonly@3-4mmofthescrewprotrudingoutofthewall.
4. Aligntheholesonthedisplaybracketoverscrewsandpushbrackettowardsthewall
sothatthescrewsgothroughtheholes.Thenreleasethebracketsothatthedisplay
isnowsittingonscrewsandtightenthescrewssothatthebracketwillnotmovefrom
this position.
