INTRODUCTION
The30.2515 sirenconsists ofan amplifierwhich powers
one 100 watt RMS speaker. The amplifier, because of its small
physicalsize, mountsconvenientlyin aremoteposition fromthe
minicontroller.
The30.2515 sirensystem includesa remotemini
controller. Thecontrollerallowsthe operatortoselect Wail,
Yelp,Phaser,AirHorn,Whoop,Warble,High/Low orManual
functions.
INSTALLATION OF POWERAMPLIFIER
Selecta locationsuitable forinstallationof theamplifier.
Thisarea mustbe freefrommoisture,heat,and abuse.
DO NOT MOUNT IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. Using
theamplifier asa template,markthelocationof themounting
holes. Drillholes atthese locationsto assistin startingthe
mountingscrews provided. Allinstallationsare thesole
responsibilityofthebuyer.
CONTROL SWITCH
Selecta locationsuitable forinstallationof thecontrol
switch. Thearea selectedshould provideease ofoperation
andmust notinterferewith normaloperationofthevehicle or
deploymentof airbag.
SPEAKER CONNECTIONS
Useonly one100 wattspeaker withan 11 ohm
impedance. Connectone conductorof the16-2 wiresupplied
tothe terminalon thesiren marked“SPKR +”. Connectthe
secondconductor ofthe 16-2wire tothe “SPKR-” terminalon
thesiren.
POWER INPUT CONNECTIONS
Connectthe suppliedblack wireto theterminalon thesiren
marked“GROUND”. Connect theother endoftheblackwire to
ground. Thenegative terminalof thebatteryis apreferable
location. Connectthe suppliedred wireto theterminalonthe
sirenmarked “+12 V”. Thisterminal onthe sirenconnectsdirectly
tothe onboard 20ampfuse. Connecttheother endof thered
wireto apositivesource.Toprotectthewiring goingto thesiren,
installan in-linefuse orcircuit breakeron theend ofthe wireas
closeto thepositive sourceas possible. Thecurrent drawof the
sirenduring operationis approximately10 to15 amps,when
suppliedby 13.8volts. Thecurrent drawof thesirenwhen power
isapplied, butno functionsare selected,is approximately.03
amps.
REMOTE MINI CONTROLLER CONNECTION
Connectthe wirefromthe controlswitch tothejack onthe
sirenas shownin thediagram. By pushingone ofthe 8the
buttonsthe correspondingsoundwill beproduced.
AllLED lightsfor the8 buttonsstay litdim ,when abutton is
pressedfor anyof the8 functionstheLEDwillbe litbright untilthe
buttonispushedagainandthe functionturnedoff.
WARRANTY
Merchandisereturnedunder warrantyshallbe subjectto
factory inspection and repaired, replaced, or credited at Able 2
Products Company, Inc.’s option. Water, condensation, or
negligence will VOID warranty. This unit’s warranty period is for
2 years parts and labor.
