Belangrijk!!! De 2e HDMI-poort wordt gedeeld met de DisplayPort-poort en kan dus
niet tegelijkertijd worden gebruikt. Je moet kiezen welke poort je hier wilt gebruiken:
HDMI of DisplayPort.

3.0 Monitor opstelling/installatie
Uw USB-C-apparaat moet DP-Alternate-modus of Thunderbolt™ 3 op de USB-C-
poort ondersteunen om uw video-uitvoer naar 1 of meerdere beeldschermen te
kunnen weergeven. Controleer de technische specificaties van uw USB-C-apparaat of
deze het DP-Alternate-modus of Thunderbolt™ 3 protocol ondersteunt. Als het
apparaat de DP-Alternate-modus of Thunderbolt™ 3 protocol niet ondersteunt, kan de
AC7045 geen video op uw beeldscherm (en) weergeven.
3.1 Enkele Monitor
Voor de opstelling met één monitor ondersteunt het AC7045-dockingstation een max.
resolutie van 4K @ 30Hz via HDMI of DisplayPort (DP) of bij gebruik van VGA een
max. resolutie van 1080p @ 60Hz.
3.2 Twee Monitoren (SST/MST)
Voor de opstelling met twee monitoren ondersteunt het AC7045-dockingstation een
max. resolutie van 4K @ 30Hz op HDMI of DisplayPort (DP), of bij gebruik van VGA
een max. resolutie van 1080p @ 60Hz.
3.3 Drie Monitoren (SST/MST)
Voor de opstelling met drie monitoren ondersteunt het AC7045-dockingstation een
max. resolutie van 1080p @ 60Hz op HDMI of DisplayPort (DP) en VGA.
3.4 SST (Single Stream Transport)
Met SST (Single Stream Transport) tonen de verbonden schermen alleen een kloon
(kopie) van uw hoofdscherm op de aangesloten schermen.
3.5 MST (Multi Stream Transport)
MST maakt deel uit van de DisplayPort 1.2-standaard, waarmee monitoren en
computers "daisy-chaining" kunnen ondersteunen. Meestal herkent u serieschakeling
wanneer de monitor zowel een DisplayPort-ingang als -uitgang heeft. U kunt de eerste
monitor op de computer aansluiten en de tweede monitor op de eerste monitor. Als
zowel de monitor als de computer MST-serieschakeling ondersteunen, werken de
twee schermen als afzonderlijke schermen. Precies alsof ze rechtstreeks op de
computer zijn aangesloten.
Als uw notebook DP alt-modus ondersteunt (alternatieve DisplayPort-modus),
ondersteunt deze ook MST. In dit geval werkt de AC7045 als een USB-C naar MST-
adapter. U kunt de meerdere video-uitgangen gebruiken. De aangesloten schermen
worden herkend als afzonderlijke schermen op uw laptop / pc en kunnen worden
gebruikt als een uitgebreid bureaublad.

Windows 10 heeft een sneltoets om te schakelen tussen de verschillende
weergavemodi:
Gebruik: "Windows-toets + P" een overzicht van de weergavemodi wordt
weergegeven op uw scherm.
Let op!!! MacOS ondersteunt MST Daisy Chaining niet. MacOS ondersteunt alleen
serieschakeling met de Thunderbolt ™ 3-standaard. De AC7045 levert dus niet het
gewenste resultaat voor macOS-apparaten. In dit geval tonen de verbonden
schermen alleen een kloon (kopie) van uw hoofdscherm op de verbonden schermen,
ook wel SST (Single Stream Transport) genoemd.

4.0 Power Delivery
De AC7045 ondersteunt Power Delivery (PD) op de USB-C-poort. Met dit protocol kan
uw notebook veilig worden opgeladen via één enkele USB-C-kabel. Eén voetnoot: alle
apparaten in de voedingsketen moeten Power Delivery ondersteunen. Inclusief de
USB-C kabels. De apparaten en kabels hebben ingebouwde chips die met elkaar
communiceren om het beste PD-profiel te bepalen voor een veilige stroomtoevoer.
Als u bijvoorbeeld een 45.0W USB-C-oplader aansluit op de AC7045 (ondersteunt
PD-profielen tot 100.0W) en uw notebook ondersteunt een USB-C PD-profiel van
max. 65.0W. De max. het vermogen dat aan uw notebook wordt geleverd, is 45.0W.
Als om de een of andere reden in het bovenstaande voorbeeld de USB-C-kabel wordt
vervangen door een USB-C-kabel die geen PD ondersteunt (geen ingebouwde chip),
wordt uw notebook niet opgeladen.
Daarnaast maakt USB-C met PD opladen in twee richtingen mogelijk. Zo laad je
bijvoorbeeld je smartphone op met je tablet, maar ook je tablet met je smartphone.
Welke Power Delivery-profielen zijn beschikbaar? 5.0V, 9.0V, 12.0V, 15.0V en 20.0V.

7.0 Waarschuwingen en aandachtspunten
Vanwege wet- en regelgeving bepaald door het Europese parlement, kan sommige
(draadloze) apparatuur onderhevig zijn aan beperkingen omtrent het gebruik in
bepaalde Europese lidstaten. In sommige Europese lidstaten kan het gebruik van
deze apparatuur verboden zijn. Neem contact op met je (lokale) overheid voor meer
informatie over deze beperkingen.
Volg te allen tijde de instructies in de handleiding*, speciaal wanneer het apparatuur
betreft wat geassembleerd dient te worden.
Waarschuwing: In de meeste gevallen gaat het om een elektronisch apparaat.
Verkeerd of oneigenlijk gebruik van het apparaat kan leiden tot (zware) verwondingen.
Wanneer je het apparaat aansluit op het lichtnet zorg er dan voor dat het niet wordt
beschadigd of onder (hoge) druk komt te staan.
Zorg dat het stopcontact dichtbij en gemakkelijk bereikbaar is vanaf het apparaat.
Het repareren van het apparaat dient uitgevoerd te worden door gekwalificeerd ACT
personeel. Probeer dit apparaat nooit zelf te repareren. De garantie vervalt per direct
indien het apparaat zelf gerepareerd is en/of wanneer het product misbruikt is. Voor

Dit apparaat moet na gebruik op de juiste wijze worden afgedankt. Volg hiervoor de
geldende regels voor het verwijderen van elektronische goederen.
Lees de onderstaande veiligheidsinstructies zorgvuldig:
- Gebruik geen externe kracht op de kabels
- Verwijder het apparaat niet uit het stopcontact door aan de stroomkabel te trekken
- Plaats het apparaat niet in de buurt van warmtebronnen
- Houd het apparaat uit de buurt van water of andere vloeistoffen
- Verwijder het apparaat direct uit het stopcontact als je een vreemd geluid, rook of
geur waarneemt
- Stop geen scherpe voorwerpen in de ontluchtingsgaten van het apparaat
- Gebruik geen beschadigde kabels (dit kan mogelijk een elektrische schok
veroorzaken)
- Houd het apparaat uit de buurt van kinderen
- Reinig het apparaat met een zachte droge doek
- Houd de stekker en het stopcontact schoon
- Trek de stekker nooit met natte handen uit het stopcontact
- Verwijder de stekker uit het stopcontact wanneer het apparaat voor langere tijd
niet wordt gebruikt
- Gebruik het apparaat in een goed geventileerde ruimte.
*Tip: ACT handleidingen worden met de grootste zorgvuldigheid gemaakt. Door

8.0 Garantievoorwaarden
De garantie geldt voor alle ACT producten. Bij aankoop van een tweedehands ACT
product resteert de garantieperiode gemeten vanaf het moment van de aankoop door
de eerste eigenaar. De ACT garantieregeling is van toepassing op alle ACT producten
en onderdelen onlosmakelijk verbonden met het betreffende product. Voedingen,
batterijen, accu’s, antennes en alle andere producten niet geïntegreerd in of direct
verbonden met het hoofdproduct of producten waarvan redelijkerwijs mag worden
aangenomen dat deze een ander slijtagepatroon kennen dan het hoofdproduct, vallen
derhalve niet onder de ACT garantieregeling. De garantie vervalt tevens bij onjuist of

oneigenlijk gebruik, externe invloeden en/of bij opening van de behuizing van het
betreffende product door partijen anders dan ACT. ACT kan gereviseerde materialen
gebruiken bij het herstellen of vervangen van uw defecte product. ACT is niet
aansprakelijk voor veranderingen in de netwerkinstellingen door internet providers.
ACT biedt geen garantie voor het niet functioneren van een netwerkproduct dat
veroorzaakt wordt door wijzigingen in de netwerkstructuur en/of protocollen van een
internetaanbieder. Tevens kan ACT niet aansprakelijk gesteld worden voor het niet
functioneren van web services, apps en andere inhoud van derden die beschikbaar is
via producten van ACT.

Please Note!!! The 2nd HDMI port is shared with the DisplayPort port so it cannot be
used simultaneously. You will need to choose which port you wish to use: HDMI or
DisplayPort.
3.0 Monitor setup
Your USB-C device needs to support DP-Alternate mode or Thunderbolt™3 on its
USB-C port in order to display your video output to 1 or more displays. Check the
technical specifications of your USB-C device if it supports DP-Alternate mode or
Thunderbolt™3. If the device does not support DP-Alternate mode or Thunderbolt™3,
the AC7045 will not be able to display video onto your Display(s).
3.1 Single Monitor
For the single monitor setup, the AC7045 Docking station supports a max. resolution
of 4K @ 30Hz via HDMI or DisplayPort (DP) or when using VGA a max. resolution of
1080p @ 60Hz.
3.2 Dual Monitor (SST/MST)
For the dual monitor setup, the AC7045 Docking station supports a max. resolution of
4K @ 30Hz on HDMI or DisplayPort (DP), or when using VGA a max. resolution of
1080p @ 60Hz.
3.3 Triple Monitor (SST/MST)
For the triple monitor setup, the AC7045 Docking station supports a max. resolution of
1080p @ 60Hz on HDMI or DisplayPort (DP) and VGA.
3.4 SST (Single Stream Transport)
With SST (Single Stream Transport) the connected screens will only show a clone
(copy) of your main screen on the connected screens.
3.5 MST (Multi Stream Transport)
MST is part of the DisplayPort 1.2 standard, with which monitors and computers can
support "daisy-chaining". You usually recognize daisy-chaining when the monitor has
both a DisplayPort input and output. You can connect the first monitor to the computer
and the second monitor to the first monitor. If both the monitor and the computer
support MST daisy-chaining, the two screens work as separate screens. Exactly as if
they were connected directly to the computer.
If your notebook supports DP alt mode (DisplayPort alternate mode) it also supports
MST. In this case the AC7045 will work as a USB-C to MST adapter. You will be able

to use the multiple video outputs. The connected screens will be recognized as
separate screens on your laptop / PC and can be used as an extended desktop.
Windows 10 has a short key to switch between the different display modes:
Use: “Windows key + P” an overview of display modes is displayed on your screen.
Please Note!!! MacOS does not support MST Daisy chaining. MacOS only supports
Daisy chaining with the Thunderbolt™3 standard. So the AC7045 will not provide the
desired result for macOS devices. In this case the connected screens only show a
clone (copy) of your main screen on the connected screens also called SST (Single
Stream Transport).

4.0 Power Delivery
The AC7045 supports Power Delivery (PD) on the USB-C port. This protocol enables
your notebook to be charged safely over one single USB-C cable. One footnote: all
devices within the power chain must support Power Delivery. Including the USB-C
cables. The devices and cables have built-in chips that communicate with each other
to decide the best PD profile to ensure a safe power delivery.
For example, if you connect a 45.0W USB-C charger to the AC7045 (supports PD
profiles up to 100.0W) and your notebook supports a USB-C PD profile of max.
65.0W. The max. power that will be provided to your notebook is 45.0W.
If for some reason in the example above, the USB-C cable is exchanged by a USB-C
cable which does not support PD (no built-in chip), your notebook will not be charged.
Besides this all, USB-C with PD enables charging in two directions. For example, you
can charge your smartphone with your tablet, but also your tablet with your
smartphone.
Which Power Delivery profiles are available? 5.0V, 9.0V, 12.0V, 15.0V and 20.0V.

When you connect the device to the mains, make sure it will not be damaged or

A power socket is needed which should be close and easy accessible from the device.
Repairing of the device should be done by qualified ACT staff. Never try to repair the

Dispose of the device appropriately. Please follow your countries regulation for the

Please check below safety points carefully:
- Do not apply external force on the cables
- Do not unplug the device by pulling the power cable
- Do not place the device near heating elements
- Do not let the device come in contact with water of other liquids
- If there is any strange sound, smoke or odor, remove the device immediately from
the power outlet.
- Do not put any sharp objects into the venting hole of a product
- Do not use any damaged cables (risk of electric shock)
- Keep the product out of reach of children
- Wipe off the product with soft fabric, not water mop.
- Keep the power plug and outlet clean
- Do not unplug the device form the power outlet with wet hands
- Unplug the device when you don’t use it for a long time

8.0 Warranty conditions
The ACT warranty applies to all ACT products. After buying a second-hand ACT
product the remaining period of warranty is measured from the moment of purchase
by the product’s initial owner. ACT warranty applies to all ACT products and parts,
indissolubly connected or mounted to the product it concerns. Power supply adapters,
batteries, antennas and all other products not directly integrated in or connected to the
main product or products of which, without reasonable doubt, can be assumed that
wear and tear during use will show a different pattern than the main product, are not
covered by the ACT warranty. Products are not covered by the ACT warranty when
exposed to incorrect/improper use, external influences or when opening the service
parts of the product by parties other than ACT. ACT may use refurbished materials for

repair or replacement of your defective product. ACT cannot be held responsible for
changes in network settings by internet providers. We cannot guarantee that the ACT
networking product will keep working when settings are changed by the internet
