2Open the wireway of the sign labeled ADDRESS 1 MASTER UNIT CABLE
CONNECTIONS and locate the RS485 cable, the sync cable, and the temperature
probe cable.

Communications conduit opening
Do not route the cables with power wires.

Address = 1
Run the RS485 cable, the sync cable, and the temperature probe cable out of the
wireway through the communications conduit opening and close the wireway.
READ THIS FIRST
ADDRESS 2 MASTER UNIT
CABLE CONNECTIONS
1) ROUTE MAIN RS485 FROM MASTER
UNIT ADDRESS 1 INTO THIS UNIT
(ADDRESS = 2) AND CONNECT TO COM0
AS LABELED.
2) ROUTE TEMP CABLE FROM MASTER
UNIT ADDRESS 1 INTO THIS UNIT
(ADDRESS = 2) AND CONNECT TO COM2
AS LABELED.
3) ROUTE SYNC CABLE FROM MASTER UNIT
ADDRESS 1 INTO THIS UNIT (ADDRESS - 2)
AND CONNECT TO COM3 AS LABELED.
ADDRESS 1 MASTER UNIT
CABLE CONNECTIONS
1) ROUTE MAIN RS485,TEMP CABLE ,
AND SYNC CABLE INTO UNIT WITH
ADDRESS 2 (DO NOT ROUTE WITH
AC WIRES).
2) FOLLOW CONNECTION INSTRUCTIONS
IN ADDRESS 2 UNIT.
CABLE CONNECTIONS HAVE BEEN
FACTORY INSTALLED IN ADDRESS 1 UNITS

Contains RS485 cable, sync cable, and
temperature probe cable.
Identify each sign. You should have two master units, labeled ADDRESS 1 MASTER
UNIT CABLE CONNECTIONS, and ADDRESS 2 MASTER UNIT CABLE
CONNECTIONS.
Master Unit, Address = 2

4Open the wireway of the sign labeled ADDRESS 2 MASTER UNIT CABLE
CONNECTIONS and run the RS485 cable, the sync cable, and the temperature
probe cable through the communications conduit opening.
