Installation
Normally, the "IK 2138" is placed or hung between 2 and 3 m abo e the floor. The unit should
not be placed too close to other light sources or in draughts.
Make sure that the distance between the appliance and open products is large enough and
that the appliance is ne er hung o er the working area of open food.
When choosing a place for the insect killer, also consider the hygiene requirements of your
authorities.
Operation
The UV light, which is harmless to the human eye, exerts a direct line of sight and a strong
attraction on insects. On their way to the lamp, they fly against an energised grid, which
destroys them quickly and hygienically. They then fall into a catch tray, which can be easily
emptied - as required.
General safety guidelines
A number of fundamental rules must be observed when using any
electrical device. In particular:
Always unplug the appliance before cleaning, mo ing or replacing a lamp.
Make sure that the electric insect killer is out of reach of children.
Ne er immerse in water or clean with a water jet.
