FAQ
Q. How long will my charger last?
A. There are several factors that aect charger life. Weather, temperature, recharge cycles,
depth of discharge (DOD), discharge current, charging current, charging method, vibration
and duration of static use can all have dramatic eects on charger life. A properly maintained
charger should last roughly 1000+ three times as long as lead-acid use in similar conditions.
Q. Can I use lithium ion battery chargers with other types of batteries?
A. No. If dierent types of batteries are there will be over-discharge of the battery which can lead
to swelling, bursting, or even fire.
Q. If I believe something is wrong with the charger can I disassemble it to check?
A. Do not disassemble the product under any circumstances. Doing so will void your warran-
ty. Instead please send a report of what seems to be the issue then process of either exchange
or replacement can begin.
Q. If the charger is plugged into a higher voltage output outlet will it charge faster?
A. Higher outlet voltage will not improve the discharge of the device. It may short or even melt
the charger.
Q. what are the possible reasons if the battery pack can not be charged or recharged?
A. Possible reasons for a battery pack that cannot be charged or recharged include: (1) the
battery has zero voltage or there is an individual cell with zero voltage in the battery pack;
(2) there is a wrong connection inside the battery pack; (3) there is an abnormity of elec
tronic components and/or PCB inside the battery pack; (4) failure in the charge; (5) outer ele
ments causes the charging eiciency to be too low, such as extremely low or high temperature.
Q. Can I use this charger to jump start a lithium battery?
A. No. Lithium-ion batteries are especially susceptible to cell damage when they are empty.
Aegis Battery chargers will reduce the output current when it detects a lithium-ion batt-
ery at a very low SOC. This being the case, jump starting would send uncontrolled amper
age into a very low lithium-ion battery causing damage to the cell. Please do not do this.
