1 Over view
This phone is a full-feature telephone that provides voice co unication. Read this QIG carefully to learn how to operate
this product and take advantage of its features.

LINE 1 / LINE 2 To indicate a line been used as the following status:
- Idle: No LED indication.
- Call on hold: Red LED flash
- In call: Red LED.
HOLD (2 line only) Press to put an active call on hold.
MUTE (single line Press to ute MIC.

REDIAL Press to call the last dialed nu ber.
SPEAKER Press to activate the speakerphone for hands free
conversations.
VOLUME UP/DOWN Press to increase or decrease the volu e of the ringer
tone or speakerphone.

3 O eration
Answering a Call
An inco ing call is indicated by a ringing tone and a flashing indicator at the top of handset. You can answer the call
by doing one of the followings:
• Pick up the Handset to answer the call.
• Press the LINE (LINE1/LINE2) key on the base or handset to answer the call.
Making a Call
Dialing with the Key ad
• Enter the telephone nu ber with the alphanu erical keypad.
• After entering the nu ber you want to call, press the # key to force dialing or wait for 4 seconds before the
nu ber is dialed auto atically.
Using the on-screen rogrammable service function soft keys
You can use the pre-assigned service function, to configure the ost co only dialed nu bers. Use the function to
dial a nu ber quickly, instead of keying in a co plete nu ber.
To call a nu ber using service soft keys dialing, follow the steps below:
• Press hotel Services soft key.
• Press service icon soft key to precede service dial.
Using the Programmable Service keys on handset
You can use the pre-assigned service hotkeys, to configure the ost co only dialed nu bers. Use the function to
dial a nu ber quickly, instead of keying in a co plete nu ber.
To call a nu ber using service hotkeys, follow the steps below:
• Press the service hotkeys that has been pre-assigned to the phone nu ber and the call will start auto atically.

Using the service function keys on handset
You can use the pre-assigned service function, to configure the ost co only dialed nu bers. Use the function to
dial a nu ber quickly, instead of keying in a co plete nu ber.
To call a nu ber using speed service dialing, follow the steps below:
• Press SELECT SERVICES key and use RIGHT/LEFT key to select service.
• Press SELECT SERVICES key again to precede service dial.
Call O tions
While a call is in progress, a nu ber of additional options are available.
Using the S eaker Phone
For hands free operation, you can use the built-in speaker to talk on the phone. To use the speakerphone, follow the
steps below:
• While talking on the phone, press the SPEAKER key on the handset or base unit to enable the Speakerphone
function.
• Press SPEAKER key again to ter inate the call.
Putting a Call on Hold
You ay want to put a call on hold te porarily while doing so e work or attending to a second inco ing or
outgoing call. To put a call on hold, do one of the following:
• Press the HOLD key on the phone to put the call on hold.
• When you receive a second call, press the next available LINE key to attend to the new call, and the first call will
be put on hold auto atically.
Checking Voice Messages
If the message waiting indicator at top of handset lights up or MESSAGE key LED on base in red, it indicates that
there are one or ore new essages in voice ail box.
• Press the MESSAGE key on the phone to retrieve voice essages.
(An external ITSP or PBX ust support voice essage feature. And you need to set a voice essage code before using
the voice ail feature.)
Pairing handset and base unit
Manual pairing:
• On the base, press *112*810# to start pairing ode(broadcast RFPI)

• Press **6862* and select “Subscribe” on a handset. A sequence of RFPI nu ber shows in handset display if
a nearby base is in paring ode.
• If shown RFPI atches the nu bers printed at the back of the base, press LINE (LINE 1) key to confir pairing.
• Otherwise, press # key to search again.
To pair ultiple handsets to a base: (The base ust be configured to pair with ultiple handsets)
• Reset base pairing by pressing *112*811# on the base
• Pair handsets one by one via auto atic or anual pairing descried above
Charging the Handset Battery
You would need to charge the handset battery before using the handset.
• Install the battery into the handset.
• Place the handset onto the base unit and base unit will start to charge the handset auto atically.
• The message waiting indicator at top of handset lights up in red during charging progress. The LED goes off after the
handset battery is fully charged.
• For best perfor ance, keep the handset in the telephone base or charger base when not in use.
• The battery is fully charged after 10 hours of continuous charging.
• If the handset will not be used for a long ti e, disconnect and re ove the battery to prevent possible leakage.
4 Su ort
To configure through the web browser, do the following:
• Ensure the phone is powered up and connected to a DCHP network.
• Press HOLD/MUTE *112*113# (HOLD for 2-Line / MUTE for 1-Line), the IP address is displayed on the LCD
screen.
• Open your browser (such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.) and type in the web address of the phone. For
exa ple, if the IP address you obtain in step 4 above is 192.168.1.2, enter the web address: http:// 192.168.1.2:8000.
• When the Web login front page is displayed. Enter the user na e and the password and click Login.
The ad inistrator’s user na e and password are “admin” and “1234” respectively.
5 Battery Sa ety Instructions
• CAUTION: Use only supplied battery.
• Do not dispose of the battery in a fire. Check with local waste anage ent codes for special disposal instructions.
• Do not open or utilate the battery. Released electrolyte is corrosive and cause burn or injury to the eyes or skin.
The electrolyte ay be toxic if swallowed.
• Exercise care in handling batteries in order not to create a short circuit with conductive aterials.
• Charge the battery provided with or identified for use with this product only in accordance with the
instructions and li itations specified in this guide.
6 Important In ormation
• Only use the battery provided by AEI, ay be a risk of explosion if wrong type of battery is used.
• Use only the power adapter supplied with this product.
• If you do not use the handset for a long ti e, disconnect and re ove the battery to prevent possible leakage.
• You ay place the handset into the base after each call in order to charge the battery.
