6Assembly
6.1 Positioning of the meter
Choose a mounting location on the machine that is as protected as possible
from sunlight, moisture and heat but still accessible. The installation angle is not
relevant for the operation of the meter.
6.2 Mounting the mounting plate
Hold the mounting plate in the desired position to the desired mounting
location.
Use the mounting plate as a template and mark the 2 holes with a pin.
Hit a notch each with a center punch.
Option A
Drill the 2 holes with a 4.2mm diameter drill bit and deburr the 2
holes.
Use a M5 nut tap to cut a thread in each hole.
Use the 2 M5x12 screws and the 2 washers and screw the base
plate to the machine.

Option B
Drill the 2 holes with a 5.5mm diameter drill and deburr the 2 holes.
Hold the threaded plate against the back of the holes. Use the 2
M5x12 screws and the 2 washers and screw the base plate to the
machine. For wall thicknesses greater than 6 mm, replace the
screws with longer ones.
6.3 Attachment of the meter
Hook the counter with the 2 slots into the notches at
the top of the mounting plate and place it on the base
plate.
Now you should check whether the counter counts as
desired in the selected position when operating your
machine. If not, you will need to look for a more
suitable mounting position.
ATTENTION: The meter is not secured yet - risk of loss!
6.4 Securing the meter
If the counter works perfectly at the position you have
selected, it will be fixed with the securing element.
Press the securing element from bottom to top into the slot
of the housing until it clicks into place.
ATTENTION: The meter can not be removed anymore.
If you want to use the meter on more than one machine, you
must install the meter on an additional plate that you can
change.

7Working with the device
The VibroCounter is permanently switched on and continuously displays the
sum of the counted hours (0 to 99999) and minutes (00 to 59).
The flashing hyphen means that the counter is currently detecting a vibration
and adding up the time.
Once the count is activated, at least 2 minutes are counted. If no further
movement is detected within these 2 minutes, counting will stop after 2 minutes.
If another movement is detected within these 2 minutes, the minimum time of 2
minutes will start again.
The permanently lit hyphen means that the counter does not detect any
vibration at the moment and does not count time.
The counter has no control elements and thus no reset function or zeroing
function. In order to determine the operating hours of individual operations, note
the meter reading before and after each operation.
8Maintenance and cleaning
The VibroCounter basically does not require ongoing maintenance.
If the display is dirty, clean it for reading.
If the display brightness becomes too low, the battery life has expired and
the counter needs to be replaced.

9Troubleshooting
9.1 Operating hours are not counted completely
It is likely that the vibrations on the machine are relatively low, so that the
necessary intensity for the count is not reached.
If possible, install the meter in a position where it is subject to greater
vibration.
9.2 Too many operating hours are counted
The machine is likely to be occasionally exposed to light vibrations at standstill,
which are recorded as operating hours.
If possible, mount the meter in a position where it is not subjected to any
movements at standstill.
9.3 Damage to the device
Contact the manufacturer or your dealer.
