important electrical an mechanical installation information. Please un erstan this information
before you install mo ules. In a ition, the manual also contains some other safety information that
you must be familiar with.
This installation manual oes not have the meaning of any warranty, whether express or
implie . There is no provision on the compensation scheme for the loss, mo ule amage or other
expenses irectly cause by or relate to the installation, operation, use or maintenance of

、Regulation and rules
The mechanical installation an electrical installation of PV mo ules shall refer to
correspon ing regulations, inclu ing electrical law, buil ing law an power connection
requirements. These regulations vary from installation site to installation site, such as buil ing roof
installation, vehicle mounte applications, etc. Requirements may also vary epen ing on the
voltage an current nature (DC or AC) of the installe system. Please contact the local authority for
specific terms.

3、General information
3.1 Module identification
Three kin s of visual labels provi e by AIKO’s mo ules:
Nameplate:Pro uct type, rate power un er stan ar test con itions (STC), rate current,
rate voltage, open circuit voltage, short circuit current un er STC, certification mark, maximum
system voltage an other information
Serial number:Each mo ule has a unique serial number. This serial number is printe on
the bar co e an place in the assembly before lamination, an cannot be torn or coate after
lamination. In a ition, an i entical serial number can be foun on or next to the mo ule
nameplate.
Current grading label(if necessary): The mo ules of the same gear are secon gra e by
rate current an marke for ifferentiation on the mo ules.

3. Wiring mode
The junction box of AIKO ABC photovoltaic mo ule is locate in the mi le. Please refer to the
following table for the series connection mo e of various mo ules.
3.3 General safety
The esign of AIKO PV mo ule complies with IEC-61215 an IEC-61730 international
stan ar s. The application level is class A. the mo ule can be use for systems with DC 50V or
above 240W that the public may contact. The safety level of the mo ule is class II an the fire
protection level is class C.
No matter whether the PV mo ule is connecte to the system or not, appropriate protective
measures shall be taken when contacting the mo ule, such as insulating tools, safety helmets,
insulating gloves, safety belts an safety insulating shoes. When you nee to install, groun , wire
an clean mo ules, please be sure to use appropriate electrical safety protection tools.
Un er the sunlight, whether the mo ule is connecte with the electrical system or not, it can

generate irect current, an touching the live parts of the mo ule (such as connectors) may cause
casualties. Avoi irect contact with photovoltaic mo ules, which may cause electric shock or cuts.
The installation of PV mo ules shall comply with the laws an regulations clearly stipulate by
the relevant regions an countries where the PV mo ules are installe . If necessary, the construction
permit an other certificates shall be obtaine first.
The installation of PV mo ules shall be carrie out by qualifie professionals who have
professional skills an knowle ge an are familiar with the mechanical an electrical requirements
of the system. The risk of possible injury uring installation, inclu ing electric shock or cuts, shall be
known in a vance.
The roof system can only be installe on the roof with formal an complete structural analysis
results after evaluation by construction experts.
Observe the safety rules for all installe mo ules. For example, wires an cables, connectors,
charging controllers, inverters, batteries, etc., only equipment, connectors, wires an supports
matching the solar power system can be use . If the photovoltaic system uses batteries, it shall
follow the opinions of the battery manufacturer.

3.4 Electrical safety
Please strictly follow the following electrical safety provisions to avoi any form of electrical
safety acci ents.
Please o not install or operate PV mo ules when it is wet or win y.
The DC voltage of photovoltaic mo ules may excee 30V, an irect contact shall be avoi e .
It is necessary to ensure that the connecting cable is fixe on the support frame for the
installation of PV mo ules.
Where animals an chil ren can reach, cables must be protecte with con uits.
Please o not artificially mo ify or remove any mo ules an labels of PV mo ules.
Please o not install PV mo ules without safety precautions.
Do not use any means other than connectors for electrical connection.
The amage PV mo ule has the risk of electric shock an fire an shoul be replace
imme iately.
The installation of PV mo ule array must be carrie out un er the con ition of electrical safety.

During installation, the voltage of PV mo ules in series shall not excee the maximum system
voltage.
It is forbi en to plug connectors of ifferent manufacturers an mo els into each other.
Please o not use conventional PV mo ules to replace roof an wall materials.
When there is current or external current in the PV mo ule, the PV mo ule shall not be
connecte or isconnecte .
Please o not use corrosive chemicals to coat the surface of photovoltaic mo ules.
Please o not touch the PV mo ule when it is wet.
3.5 Operational safety
Before the PV mo ules arrive at the installation site, please o not open the packaging box.
Please put the packaging box in a ventilate an ry environment.
During all han ling, please ensure that the PV mo ule will not be subject to large vibration.
Improper han ling an placement may cause the glass of photovoltaic mo ules to break or lose
electrical performance, an lose the use value of photovoltaic mo ules.
Han le an install PV mo ules with care. In any case, it is forbi en to lift the PV mo ule by
pulling the junction box or cable. Two or more people must hol the e ge of the PV mo ule with both
han s.
It is forbi en to step on, stan on or sit on the PV mo ule, which will amage the PV mo ule
an pose a risk of injury to people.
It is forbi en to place any heavy object on the front an back of the PV mo ule, an o not
place the PV mo ule on the sharp object surface.
It is forbi en to attempt to isassemble the PV mo ule, remove the nameplate of the PV
mo ule or the mo ules on the PV mo ule.
It is strictly prohibite to brush paint or apply any other a hesive on the surface of photovoltaic
mo ules.

It is strictly prohibite to rill holes on the frame of PV mo ules, which will re uce the loa
resistance of the frame an lea to the corrosion of the frame, which will lea to the invali ation of
the limite warranty of PV mo ules.
Except for groun ing, it is forbi en to scratch the ano ic oxi e layer on the surface of the
aluminum alloy frame, which may lea to frame corrosion an affect the loa resistance an long-

term reliability of the frame.
It is strictly prohibite to repair or refit PV mo ules by yourself.
The surface of the touching photovoltaic mo ule shoul be smooth, without sharp e ges, burrs,
etc.
Do not ispose of electrical appliances as unsorte municipal waste, use
separate collection facilities.
Contact your local government for information regar ing the collection
systems available. If electrical appliances are ispose of in lan fills or umps,
hazar ous substances can leak into the groun water an get into the foo chain,
amaging your health an well-being.
When replacing ol appliances with new ones, the retailer is legally obligate
to take back your ol appliance for isposals at least free of charge.
3.6 Fire safety
Please consult local laws an regulations before installing PV mo ules, an comply with the
requirements on buil ing fire resistance.
When installing on the roof, the roof must be covere with a layer of fireproof materials suitable
for this gra e,an sufficient ventilation between the back plate an the installation surface must be
ensure .
Different roof structures an installation metho s will affect the fire safety performance of
buil ings. Improper installation may cause fire.
In or er to ensure the fire rating on the roof, the minimum istance between the PV mo ule
frame an the roof surface is 10cm.
Please use appropriate PV mo ule accessories such as fuse, circuit breaker an groun ing
connector accor ing to local regulations.
Do not use PV mo ules if expose flammable gases are present nearby.

4、Installation conditions
4.1 Installation site and working environment
AIKO PV mo ules are recommen e to be installe in an environment where the operating
ambient temperature is -20 ° C ~ 50 ° C. the limiting operating ambient temperature of PV mo ules
is -40 ° C ~ 85 ° C an the humi ity is lower than 85%rh.
AIKO PV mo ules are applicable to the operating environment below 2000m above sea level.
Do not irectly irra iate the artificial spotlight on the solar PV mo ule.
When installing solar PV mo ules on the roof, a safe working area must be reserve between
the e ge of the roof an the outer e ge of the PV mo ule array.
When photovoltaic mo ules are stacke on the roof, the loa of the roof shall be rechecke
an the construction organization plan meeting the specification requirements shall be formulate .
When selecting the installation position of PV mo ules, the position where the sun can fully
shine shall be selecte to avoi partial or total shiel ing (trees, buil ings, clothes, tools, packaging
materials an other obstacles) on the surface of PV mo ules.
A safety factor (1.25) regar ing the open circuit voltage (Voc) an short circuit current (Isc)
nee s to be set, consi ering that the irra iance of the installation site can sometimes be higher than
1000W/m² an the temperature may be lower than 25℃.
In or er to make use of the power generate on the back si e of the ouble-si e photovoltaic
mo ule, the back si e barrier shoul be avoi e .
Double-si e PV mo ules are not recommen e to be installe in buil ing attache PV
systems (such as BAPVs) because the back si e of the mo ules generates electricity by absorbing
reflecte light from the surface or scattere light from the surroun ing environment.
The PV mo ule shall be installe in a well ventilate position to ensure sufficient air circulation
at the back an si e of the PV mo ule, so that the heat generate uring the working state of the PV
mo ule can be issipate in time. Con ensation or moisture can also be issipate at the same time.
When use in areas with high win pressure an snow pressure, the support an fixe structure
shall be esigne in strict accor ance with local esign co es to ensure that the external loa oes
not excee the mechanical strength limit that the PV mo ule can withstan .
In salt spray, sulfi e an ammonia environments (coastal, factory, volcanic an farm), corrosion
may occur at the connection between mo ules an supports, or at the position where the groun ing
is connecte .

Corrosion resistant materials (stainless steel or aluminum materials, etc.) must be use to
contact the PV mo ule, an the installation position shall be subject to anti-corrosion treatment.
4. Inclination angle selection
The inclination angle of PV mo ule
refers to the inclu e angle between PV
mo ule an horizontal groun .
Different projects choose ifferent
installation inclination angles accor ing to
local con itions.
Each PV mo ule of the same array must
have the same irection an angle. Different
installation irections an angles will lea to
the ifference in the total amount of solar ra iation absorbe by photovoltaic mo ules, resulting in
the mismatch loss of output power, thus re ucing the operating efficiency of the system.
In or er to achieve the maximum annual power generation of PV mo ules, the optimal
orientation an inclination of PV mo ules in the installe area shall be selecte to ensure that even
on the ay with the shortest sunshine throughout the year, the sunlight can still shine on the PV
mo ules uring the perio from 9:00 to 15:00. The optimal inclination esign of photovoltaic array
shall comprehensively consi er the climatic con itions such as monthly average irra iance, irect
irra iance, scattering irra iance, win spee , etc. of the installation site for many years. The
inclination of photovoltaic mo ules shall maximize the annual ra iation receive on the photovoltaic
mo ules. The selection of angle shall also consi er the influence of natural con itions, such as local
win loa , snow loa , avoi ing pon ing an ash eposition on the surface of photovoltaic mo ules,
etc.

5、Mechanical installation
5.1 General requirements
Ensure that the PV mo ule installation metho an support system are firm enough. The PV
mo ule mounting bracket must be ma e of corrosion-resistant an UV resistant materials.
The PV mo ule must be firmly fixe to the bracket.
In areas with heavy snowfall, a higher support system shall be selecte to avoi the lowest
point of PV mo ule being covere by snow for a long time. The lowest point of the PV mo ule shall
be at a certain height to prevent the PV mo ule from being covere by wee s an trees on the
groun .
When the PV mo ule is installe parallel to the roof, the minimum gap between the PV mo ule
frame an the roof is 10cm.
The minimum installation istance between two a jacent PV mo ules is 10mm.
The maximum static test loa passe by the PV mo ule is front 3600/ back 1600 with Safety
factor 1.5. The specific loa epen s on the installation mo e of the PV mo ule (please refer to the
following). All loa values mentione in this manual are static test loa s. Note: accor ing to iec61215-
2, 1.5 times of safety factor shall be consi ere when calculating the maximum esign loa ; When
calculating the win loa , the esign maximum instantaneous gust loa shall consi er 3 times the
safety factor.
The loa s of the mo ules escribe in this manual are test loa s. Accor ing to the installation
requirements of IEC 61215-2, the correspon ing maximum esign loa shoul be ivi e by at least
with safety factor 1.5. The esign loa of the project nee s to epen on the project location, climate,
support structure, an relevant specifications. The support supplier an professional engineers are
responsible for etermining the esign loa , in accor ance with local laws an regulations an the
instructions of the structural engineer.
5. Mechanical installation for double glass module
The connection between AIKO ouble glass photovoltaic mo ules an the support system can
be installe by bolts an blocks. PV mo ules must be installe accor ing to the following suggestions
an examples. If there are other installation metho s, please consult Shenzhen AIKO igital energy
in a vance an obtain written consent, otherwise the warranty will be invali .

5. .1 Mounting pressure clamps
Specialize pressure clamps are use to mount mo ules as shown below.
Un er no circumstances shoul the clamp touch the glass or eform the frame. Be sure to avoi
sha owing effect from the pressure clamp.
Be sure that pressure clamps will not fail ue to eformation or corrosion while the entire mo ule
is un er loa . Pressure clamps > 50 mm in length an >3 mm in thickness are recommen e . The
overlappe istance between the pressure clamp an the mo ule frame, D, shall be at least 7 mm but
no more than 10 mm.
When choosing clamp-mounting, please be sure to use at least four clamps on each mo ule.
Depen ing on the local win an snow loa s, if excessive pressure loa is expecte , at least six clamps
shoul be require to ensure the mo ule can bear the loa (more etails, please contact AIKO technical
personnel)

5. .3 Bolts Mounting
Double glass mo ules can be installe by bolts base on rails. Using bolts to fix the mo ule on
the bracket through the mounting holes at the back of mo ule’s frame. Mo ules come stan ar with
4 or 8 mounting holes, matching M8 bolts, as figure below:

mo ule. AIKO recommen the thickness of washer shoul ≥1.7mm an use M8 nut an bolt, the tightening torque

6、Electrical installation
6.1 Electrical performance
Please see the PV mo ule pro uct specifications for the electrical performance parameters of
PV mo ules of AIKO igital energy. There is ± 3% tolerance between the nominal values of the
electrical performance parameters of photovoltaic mo ules such as Isc,Voc an Pmax at the
stan ar test con itions an bifacial nameplate irra iance. Stan ar test con itions (STC) for
photovoltaic mo ules: irra iance 1000w/m2, cell temperature 25 ℃, air quality AM1.5. The bifacial
nameplate irra iance is 1 000 W/m2 on the mo ule front an 135 W/m2 on the mo ule rear.
The maximum system voltage of AIKO igital energy photovoltaic mo ules is 1500V
When the PV mo ules are connecte in a series, the final voltage is the sum of the single PV
mo ules.
When the PV mo ules are connecte in parallel, the final current is the sum of the single PV
mo ules, as shown in the figure below. Photovoltaic mo ules of ifferent electrical performance
mo els cannot be connecte in a string.

When the PV mo ules are connecte in a series, the final voltage is the sum of the single PV
mo ules.
When the PV mo ules are connecte in parallel, the final current is the sum of the single PV
mo ules, as shown in the figure below. Photovoltaic mo ules of ifferent electrical performance
mo els cannot be connecte in a string.
If there is a reverse current excee ing the maximum fuse current of the PV mo ule passing
through the PV mo ule, an overcurrent protector of the same specification must be use to protect
the PV mo ule. If the number of parallel connection is greater than two strings, each string of PV
mo ule must have an overcurrent protector, as shown in the above figure.
The voltage of the string shall not be higher than the maximum voltage that the system can
withstan an the maximum input voltage of the inverter an other electrical equipment installe in
the system. To ensure this, the open circuit voltage of the array nee s to be calculate at the lowest
expecte ambient temperature at that location. The following formula can be use for calculation

6. Cables and wiring
The protection gra e of junction box of PV mo ule is IP68, which is compose of connecte
cable an connector with IP68 protection gra e. The PV mo ule has a e icate PV output cable
with a positive pole an a negative pole connecte to the insi e of the junction box, an the other
en is connecte with a plug an play connector. The two PV mo ules can be connecte in series
by connecting the positive connector of the
PV mo ule with the negative connector of the a jacent PV mo ule.
Accor ing to the electrical esign an construction specifications, regulations an
correspon ing regulatory requirements of the installation site, special solar cables an appropriate
connector mo els shall be use to ensure goo electrical an mechanical properties of the cables.
